Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 55: Chapter 55: All Gu Yifan’s Fault? The Wronged Han Ning

After the physics teacher left, the classroom didn’t erupt into its usual clamor.

Everyone remained quietly in their seats, engrossed in their books, as if the bell signaling the end of class had never rung.

It made sense.

With less than two months until the college entrance exams, every third-year high school student could feel the tension and pressure mounting.

Gu Yifan saw Wang Zibo still frowning over a math problem. He shook his head slightly and tapped on his friend’s chair.

”Zibo!”

He called out.

”Huh?”

Hearing his name, Wang Zibo looked up, a blank expression on his face.

When he saw Gu Yifan’s handsome face, he froze for a moment. ”Uh... Brother Fan, weren’t you in the library? What are you... doing here?”

”Class is over!”

Gu Yifan didn’t answer his question, simply stating the fact.

”Huh?”

”Class is over?”

”I thought class just started not too long ago!”

Wang Zibo said with some surprise.

Hearing this, Gu Yifan shook his head in resignation.

He didn’t say anything more, though. ’After all, it’s a good thing that Wang Zibo is willing to study!’

”Hey, Brother Fan... want to head home together?”

Wang Zibo asked after a moment of thought.

”Yeah, you rode your electric scooter, right? Give me a lift.”

Gu Yifan nodded.

”No problem!”

Wang Zibo grinned.

He then packed up his things, ready to go home with Gu Yifan.

Just as the two were about to leave the classroom, Han Ning suddenly appeared before them.

Both Gu Yifan and Wang Zibo were taken aback by Han Ning’s sudden appearance.

Gu Yifan remained silent, but Wang Zibo spoke up. ”Princess Ning, what’s...?”

”Zibo, are you heading home now? Give me a lift!”

Han Ning said to Wang Zibo.

”Huh?”

Wang Zibo froze.

’What is going on today?’

’First Brother Fan asks for a ride, and now Han Ning shows up asking for one too?’

’Could it be...’

He glanced up at Han Ning’s expressionless face and seemed to understand something.

’But my scooter can only carry one other person. What am I supposed to do with both of them?’

After thinking for a moment, he said helplessly, ”Princess Ning, Brother Fan was also going to ride with me, but my scooter can only carry one passenger. Look... why don’t you go with your deskmate, Wu Xiaoyan?”

”Cut the crap. I’m just asking if you’ll do it or not!”

Han Ning said, staring at Wang Zibo with a blank face.

Hearing the petulant tone in her voice, Wang Zibo replied with a helpless look, ”But, Princess Ning, Brother Fan asked first...”

But before he could finish, Gu Yifan cut him off. ”Zibo, just take her home. I’ll grab a taxi.”

”Brother Fan, you...”

Wang Zibo started to say.

”That’s enough. It’s settled. I’m heading out.”

Gu Yifan said, patting his shoulder.

With that, he turned and walked straight out of the classroom.

Wang Zibo: ”...”

Han Ning: ”...”

Watching Gu Yifan’s departing figure, Han Ning’s eyes reddened slightly. She felt incredibly wronged.

Yes!

’All this time, Gu Yifan hadn’t come to see me or make up with me. At first, I didn’t think much of it.’

’But a month has passed, and Gu Yifan still hasn’t sought me out. I’m starting to get anxious!’

’On top of that, Gu Yifan had recently stopped coming to the classroom for evening self-study. Because of that, I could only see him during daytime classes and had no chance to see him otherwise. I couldn’t even find an opportunity to talk to him.’

’Tonight, Gu Yifan finally showed up in the classroom, but he completely ignored me. I couldn’t even get a single word in.’

’I clearly took the initiative to go right up to him, and he still refused to acknowledge me.’

’He wouldn’t even spare a single word for me!’

’How dare he!’

’How dare he treat me like this!’

’All I did was reject his confession!’

’Don’t I even have the right to say no?’

’Besides, he really scared me back then!’

’Fine!’

’You want to give me the silent treatment, is that it?’

’You’re going to ignore me, right?’

’Gu Yifan, if you’ve got the guts, then ignore me for the rest of your life!’

The more Han Ning thought about it, the angrier she became, the sense of being wronged welling up inside her until it was about to overflow.

”Hey, Princess Ning, um... should we get going too?”

”I’ll give you a ride home on my scooter!”

Seeing that Han Ning looked like she was about to cry, Wang Zibo quickly spoke up to change the subject.

”No, thanks. I’ll just get a taxi myself!”

Han Ning sniffled, turning her head to speak to Wang Zibo.

After speaking, she stomped her foot and stormed out of the classroom without a backward glance, her heart filled with indignation.

Wang Zibo: ”...”

He stared after Han Ning’s retreating back, his mouth slightly agape, speechless for a long moment.

’Great.’

’Fighting over a ride, and in the end, I’m the one left all alone!’

”Sigh~”

”What have I done to deserve this?”

He sighed softly and muttered in resignation.

Shaking his head, he shouldered his backpack and also left the classroom.

...

「At the entrance of Mountain City First Middle School.」

Gu Yifan was standing on the curb, smoking a cigarette while waiting for a taxi.

Just then, Han Ning also walked out of the school.

”Stupid Gu Xiaofan, stinky Gu Yifan, you jerk, I never want to talk to you again...”

She muttered under her breath as she walked.

But as soon as she stepped out of the school gate, she looked up and saw Gu Yifan standing under a streetlight, waiting for a ride.

”Hm?”

Han Ning froze for a second.

’When did that jerk Gu Yifan learn to smoke?’

’Did he start going down the wrong path after I rejected him?’

Her heart was suddenly filled with a mix of surprise and guilt.

’No!’

’Whatever the reason, going bad is not okay!’

The girl who, just a second ago, had been vowing to ignore Gu Yifan forever was now striding quickly in his direction.

She was going to march over there, give Gu Yifan a lecture, and put a stop to this bad habit of his!

Just then, a taxi slowly pulled up in front of Gu Yifan.

Gu Yifan casually stubbed out his cigarette, opened the front passenger door, and got in.

”Hey...”

Han Ning’s mouth opened slightly, but before she could say anything, the car zipped away from her.

”...”

Meanwhile, Gu Yifan, now in the taxi, caught sight of Han Ning’s figure in the rearview mirror.

”Hm?”

He paused for a moment. ’That person... looks like Han Ning?’

’Didn’t she get a ride from Zibo? What’s she doing here?’

Gu Yifan was a little confused.

But by now, the car was already far away. He shook his head and decided not to dwell on it.

’Even the taxi is bullying me!’

BOO HOO HOO...

Han Ning felt even more wronged. She squatted down and began to cry pitifully.

”Stinky Gu Yifan, it’s all your fault!”

”You clearly saw me just now, but you still told the driver to go!”

BOO HOO HOO...

”Stinky Gu Yifan, you’re done for!”

”I’m going to tell Aunt Mei you bullied me, and that you smoke...”

...

Han Ning stood there, crying and mumbling incoherently.
