Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1000: Chapter 1000:- Level Three Dragon Palace [I]

The Dragon Palace currently has three areas. The outer area was for Dragonians and Dragon Warriors to cultivate inside the Dragon Palace.

Like every other day, everyone was busy cultivating. Because one cannot stay within the Dragon Palace forever. The time they could spend cultivating inside the Dragon Palace recurred in cycles. So everyone treated this opportunity very seriously and did not even want to waste a single second.

No one was allowed to get into the inner and core part of the Dragon Palace. So no one knew when the Dragon Monarch was inside the Dragon Palace or when he left. The entire Royal Family did not have any contact with those who came to cultivate.

Those who were cultivating here had long gotten used to this. Their ranks weren’t high enough to go to the Core area.

Like every other day, some were busy cultivating. Some were eating at the cafeteria. And some were sparring with others after making small breaths. But today something strange happened.

Everyone received a call in the evening.

[The Dragon Palace will go through a change. Everyone needs to step out of the Dragon Palace.]

Hearing this loud announcement, everyone was surprised. Since they had seen or heard about the wondrous changes that took place within the Dragon Palace some months back, they knew what to expect.

Within 5 minutes, all those who came to cultivate within the Dragon Palace, including the ones who stayed within the inner layer, flew out of the Dragon Palace.

Outside, a few kilometres or miles away from the Dragon Palace, the Dragon Monarch and the Royal Family were already standing and waiting for others to come out.

”Your Majesty!!” Seeing Aditya, everyone prepared to kneel before the Emperor. But Aditya waved his hand and signalled them to stop.

”All of you stand far from the Dragon Palace.” Spencer’s loud voice reached everyone’s ears.

At the same time, a large group of guards had surrounded the Dragon Palace to make sure that during this period of change, no one managed to sneak into the Dragon Palace or execute any funny ideas such as tampering with the defensive barrier structure, or plant some kind of explosive or anything similar.

”Your Majesty, everything is ready.” Aditya just nodded his head. He could sense that, other than plants, there was no one else left within the Dragon Palace.

”It’s time!”

Before Aditya left, he wanted to upgrade the Dragon Palace and turn it into a fortress that could withstand attack from even peak fifth-order cultivators. So even if, for example, the organisation decided to attack the Dragon Palace, it would be able to withstand simultaneous attacks from multiple Peak Fifth Order cultivators.

Aditya silently summoned the system panel with his thought and looked at the requirements to be fulfilled to upgrade the Dragon Palace to level 3.

『To upgrade the Dragon Palace to level 3, the host must gather the following materials while also completing some requirements.』

- 500 tons of refined gold [600/500]

- 450 tons of refined meteorite ore [500/450]

- Increase the number of Dragonians to 250,000 [280,000/250,000]

- Increase the number of Dragon Warriors to 25,000 [25,000/25,000]

- 1 Ton of Anti-Gravity Crystals [1/1]

- Establish the Temple of Dragons [1/1]

- 110 tons of Low Spirit Stones[200/110]

- 100 tons of Mana Stones [200/100]

- Become a Beginner 5th-order Cultivator』

Aditya purposely added extra things so that the upgrade would be even more impressive. Extra Materials won’t go to waste; instead, the extra materials will be used to make the Dragon Palace grander and more spectacular.

’I hope the Dragon Palace increases in size.’ But looking at the Azure City, he felt a headache. Originally, the distance between the Azure City and the Dragon Palace was 7 (4.35 miles) to 8 (4.97 miles) kilometres away. The Capital and the Dragon Palace were visible to each other.

Once the Dragon Palace reached level 2, the size of the Palace drastically increased, and the distance between the Capital and the Palace decreased. Even though the Capital expanded on all sides, again the distance between them decreased.

Now, if the Palace gets bigger again, there won’t be any distance between the Capital and the Palace. It was possible that both the City and the Palace might be so close that a mortal human could walk to the Palace from the City in one or two minutes.

’I hope the Anti-Gravity Crystals get put to good use.’ He did not like the idea of having the two so close to each other. Even though the Palace was protected by many arrays that blocked outside eyes from seeing inside, if it were built too close to the city, Aditya would still feel an odd discomfort in his heart, as if someone might still be watching.

And more importantly, with the Palace being far away from the city, it carried a natural sense of exclusivity and privacy that he did not want to lose.

’System Upgrade the Dragon Palace to level 3!’

For a second, nothing happened. Everyone just stared at the Dragon Palace and then looked at Aditya. They saw his expression remaining the same.

A second later, he closed his eyes.

After a few seconds of silence, slowly the Dragon Palace began to glow. With each passing second, the glow began to get brighter and brighter.

Since it was happening in the late evening, soon the intense brightness reached the people within the Azure City.

Experienced ones who had seen and heard of the previous upgrade already had a guess as ot what was happening.

Soon, the bright flash of light became so bright that everyone had no choice but to either close their eyes or turn around.

”It’s starting.”

Everyone could not help but feel a sense of excitement. After all, the Dragon Palace not just benefited the Emperor and the Royal Family but everyone who was a citizen of the Istarin Empire.

『Ding! Time needed to complete the upgrade: 900 seconds』

”It will take a while.” This was something that never happened in the previous upgrades. But this also hinted that the entire appearance from inside and outside of the Palace was about to change.

Unknown to Aditya and the rest, very quickly, the words about massive changes taking place in the Dragon Palace reached everyone’s ears. While the transformation took place, countless people from the capital came outside the city just to witness this miraculous scene.

For them, it was a once in a must watch lifetime event. Something so grand and spectacular cannot be missed.

There were so many people at each entrance that the guards had no choice but to completely open the gates so that the huge crowd could rush out of the City as soon as possible.

At the same time, countless people climbed to the walls of the City.

For many, this was a moment of immense pride and joy. Unlike other empires, the citizens of this empire shared a collective identity: they were citizens of the Istarin Empire. They had this sense of belonging under the Dragon Monarch and the Istarin Empire’s flag.

There wasn’t a single citizen who was not proud of being a citizen of this great Empire.

Aditya never ran any propaganda to build a sense of unity among his citizens. His focus has always been to provide the best environment for his citizens where they can live without needing to fear any kind of racism, discrimination, inequality, or poverty. Since day one, this has been his goal, and he silently walked towards that goal.

This shared collective identity that every citizen had in their hearts came from all the good words that their emperor did for them.

One example of this can be seen in the fact that, among the original citizens of the Istarin Dynasty, not a single family failed to benefit from this transformation. There wasn’t a single family in the capital that did not benefit from the improvement in their financial condition.

Why wouldn’t they love this empire? This was the only place within the six continents, maybe even the main continent, where ordinary people were treated like humans and even given the basic level of respect that every living being should have.

Race, cast, gender, sex, religion, and cultivation were never really an issue or topic of debate, discrimination or inequality.

This empire allowed every hard-working man and woman to proudly raise their heads, not in shame.

This was the only empire in which the emperor truly cared for his citizens, as evidenced by many of the policies he created. The empire had one of the lowest tax rates in the entire six continents. There was no issue with any higher-ranking official, soldiers or nobles sucking the blood of the normal class or exploiting them.

”I didn’t expect so many people to come out of the capital just to witness this scene.” Aditya was genuinely surprised. And the number was only rapidly increasing.
