Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 985 985:- Emperor Ren

”Itʼs very clear that the former Butler Alfred and Goddess Athena have met Aditya. Right now, as we speak, they must be making plans to overthrow you.” Ren sat on the exact replica of the throne that he had asked the organisation to make for him. But sitting on this throne did not satisfy him. Instead, he hated this replica that he himself asked the organisation to make, so that no one would suspect that the current Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire is not worthy of sitting on the throne or wearing the Crown of the Empire.

”Aditya will definitely come.” Hearing this, he tightly clenched his fists. He hated the situation that he was in.

Although he had achieved his dream, it did not bring him any excitement. It did not give him the satisfaction that he was supposed to feel. It only made him feel unwanted and unworthy. Despite training so much since he was a child, in the end, he was still not worthy of the throne. And he knew why this was the case. It was because of his corrupt heart.

But he had no other choice. To become the King, he had to take this step.

Becoming the King and ruling the Celestial Dragon Empire has been his biggest and only dream and goal in life. How can he give up on his dream when he trained for centuries just for the sake of the Throne?

How can he give up on the very thought of becoming the King when Adityaʼs parents themselves raised him to be the future Emperor?

It was simply impossible.

Just discarding the thought of not being the Emperor was just telling him to question his very existence. Because this wasnʼt just a dream, it was an obsession his life revolved around.

ʼThis time, I will personally kill you, my dear cousin.ʼ

ʼI donʼt hate you, Aditya. On the contrary, I love you as a brother.ʼ

ʼBut for the sake of the Throne, if I did not hesitate to put aside uncle and aunt who raised me like their own son, then why should I show you any mercy?ʼ

”He will come for the throne. I have a feeling that the entire Empire will go through a civil war. You should prepare yourself.” The voice of the Organisationʼs leader came to his ear. It was the communication artefact that all core members of the Organization used to receive orders from the Leader himself.

”Let them come. At that time, it was my mistake not to kill him because he was my cousin after all.”

”But now I will personally tear his chest and rip out his heart. I will personally bury him in my backyard.” Anyone who dares to even think about his Throne and the Empire, even if that person happens to be his own son, Ren wonʼt hesitate to kill him.

Now that he was sitting on the Throne, he was ready to do anything and go to any lengths to keep his power and Throne.

”The Organisation will provide full support in this.” Hearing this, Ren was overjoyed.

”We are the ones who gave you the power to sit on the throne and become the emperor. Now, we will defend you.” Ren couldnʼt be happier. Even a small grin appeared on his face before that quickly disappeared.

But the Leader wasnʼt done yet. ”Aditya is the organisationʼs biggest threat. He cannot be left alive to grow even more powerful. We have to use this opportunity to kill him.”

The most worrying part was the speed at which Aditya was growing stronger. It felt as if every single week, new reports arrived, each one describing how the Dragon Monarch had become even more powerful than before. And with each passing week, he was not only growing stronger but also defeating opponents who were far more powerful than the ones he had faced just days earlier.

It made him really curious if this was just Divine Cultivation Talent or just some secret he was using to rapidly get powerful. Regardless of that, the most important part was that Aditya was too dangerous to be left alive. And now that he has set his sights on the Celestial Dragon Empire, things are bound to change. It was inevitable that their paths would clash.

Not to mention, Ren was a loyal dog that the Organisation used a ton of resources to put in this current position. He was still too valuable to be discarded. This was like killing two birds with one stone. The Organisation had to protect Ren for the long-term interest of the Organisation and also kill Aditya, as he was a growing threat.

”I am 90% sure that Aditya wonʼt come to the Celestial Empire now. So we have time to prepare and maximise our chances of killing him.”

”We will need to hold a meeting on how to stop Aditya. I will let you know the date, time, and location of the meeting, so be prepared.”

”Understood!” Ren had no problem. This wasnʼt their first time. And the next meeting certainly wonʼt be his last meeting with the Organization.

”Also, one more thing.” Ren thought their conversation was over.

”I donʼt know how much information my adopted son provided to the Goddess of War.”

ʼOh year! I nearly forgot about that!ʼ Ren was too caught up in trying to find Alfred. That old man was a Seer.

He was stragetist.

Ren had seen firsthand just how useful this old man can be. This is why he did not kill him. He wanted the old man to work for him. But unexpectedly, that only backfired.

”At the very least, you can be sure that she knows the names of all Core members of the Organisation. This also means that she knows that you are one of the core members of the Organisation.” Hearing this, Ren felt a chill run down his spine. The Goddess of War was too dangerous and unpredictable.

In the Main Continent, no cultivator under Peak 7th-order can claim that they can defeat her in a battle.

”She must know the Core membersʼ code names and real-life identities. So you must be on guard all the time.”

But the next second, Ren immediately relaxed. He was the Emperor of the Freaking Celestial Empire, which was still the Strongest Empire in the Main Continent. ”Let her come!” Why should the Emperor be afraid of the Goddess of War?

Yes, her recent rise and accomplishment cannot be overlooked, and Ren shouldnʼt underestimate her, but the Celestial Empire was the Strongest Empire in history.

How many strong cultivators can she take down before she gets killed?

”Donʼt be Smug! The fact that she isnʼt doing anything after knowing so much about the Organisation is worrying.” Hearing this, Ren calmed down a little. That earlier excitement calmed down.

”Anyways, this is what I wanted to tell you. Be ready for the Summoning.”

Once the call ended, Ren silently sat on the Throne without moving an inch for a long time. He could feel it. His years of sharpened instinct from leading the armies of the Celestial Empire as its General gave him a strong intuition that something massive was about to happen very soon.

ʼBut everything is perfect and under control.ʼ

ʼI have the entire Empireʼs Military and the backing of the whole Organisation.ʼ He also understood it too well that the Organisation wonʼt abandon him, as he was too damn useful for them.

If the Emperor of the strongest Empire on the entire Planet was a member of a secret organization, there was so much benefit that the Organization could receive from it.

Thinking of this, Renʼs mind was at ease. But there was one slight thing hidden very deep in his heart that really bothered him.

ʼThat pathetic, weak Dwarf Tribe dared to defy me.ʼ Around a month or two back, he had sent his most trusted men to the Sand Mirage Desert located in Tunnel World.

The purpose was clear. The Throne and Crown had deemed Ren to be unworthy of the throne. Ren just wanted the Dwarf Leader to personally come to the Capital and fix this problem so that no one could question the Legitimacy of his rule.

ʼBut those damn bastards.ʼ Ren was blaming everyone, even his own most trusted men.

The more days passed, the bigger this issue continued to get in his heart. At first, he was content with just the Fake Throne and a Fake Crown that looked 100% same as the originals. He thought even without the Crown and Throne, I am still the Emperor.

But as days continued passing, he no longer felt that way. Now he felt like an incomplete King without his Crown and Throne.

”Bring Rogan here.” A few shadows immediately moved from behind the Throne and went out of the Throne Hall.

Not even a minute had passed before a tall, thin, extremely handsome man stood kneeling before the Emperor.

This was Kent Rogan. One of the Generals of the Celestial Dragon Empire. When Ren was appointed as the General to gain experience, Kent Rogan was his right-hand man and his most trusted man within the military.

Even now, Rogan is extremely dedicated and loyal to his Emperor. Ren was sure that if he asked Rogan to begin worshipping him as a God then Rogan wouldnʼt hesitate for a second before doing it.

He was an extremely loyal dog who would do anything without asking any questions. These kinds of Loyal Dogs are very, very hard to come by.

”Head to the Tunnel World and capture a few of the Dwarf Tribe members. Take whoever you want with you. But you have to succeed no matter what.” Before Aditya came, Ren somehow wanted to make sure that he was recognized by the Throne and the Crown as the True Emperor.
