Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 958: Chapter 958:- Reunion [I]

Swooshhhhh!!!

”What was that?”

”I don’t know.”

”Me neither. I couldn’t even see a thing.”

”It’s probably a Peak 6th-order cultivator or a higher-order cultivator hurriedly passing through the route. We shouldn’t disturb or offend that person.”

”Agreed!!!”

Meanwhile, Kaoru was barely holding on. With chains tightly wrapped around her neck and throat, she was dragged by Aditya like an object. The other end of the chain was held by him, and due to his huge speed, added with constant short teleportation, she nearly found it impossible to free herself.

Forget about freeing herself; she was struggling to even breathe. She was seeing things blur, not because of how fast they were going, but because she was choking to death.

Halfway through, Aditya and Laura stopped seeing a firefly.

It was very unusual to see a firefly in this place. In fact, in the entire tunnel world, there were no fireflies. The harsh environment meant that no fireflies could ever survive in this world.

”It’s Athena!” Only the Goddess of Wisdom can freely summon and control Fireflies.

”She must have sent her firefly to you.” Just as he finished talking, the firefly landed on Laura’s shoulder before dissolving into a small golden light that was not bigger than the size of her pupil.

”Let’s hurry.” Using constantly short teleportations that ranged from 500 meters to 800 meters with his full agility meant that they were travelling extremely fast. They were moving so fast that if not for him gently holding her and protecting her with a Mana Barrier, Laura would have collapsed.

Scene Change_____

”Mateo, are you alright?” Bree worryingly asked. Mateo was gravely wounded.

While teaming up, they had decided that Bree would take the front line, which meant engaging Alex Jones in close range, and Mateo would constantly support her with different kinds of spells.

If they worked together perfectly, they had a good chance of holding back a Peak 6th-order cultivator.

Although Atlas was far stronger than Alex Jones, this did not mean Alex Jones was weak. He quickly saw through their tricks, and as a result, Mateo was seriously injured when he was attacked, which was meant to end Bree’s life.

There was a large hole in Mateo’s lower stomach. Through the hole, one could see things on the other side.

”This is not good!” Bree was almost on the verge of crying. At first, she found his presence annoying.

It was like he was overly enthusiastic about everything.

She noticed how he was always paying attention to her. She noticed how his behaviour or his voice becomes more gentle and soft whenever he is talking to her.

He was caring for her more than her own grandfather cared for her. He went above and beyond every time to make sure that she was alright. She felt Mateo treated her like a child. Whenever she lost her calm, he would gently calm her down.

Whenever she failed to understand something, he patiently explained.

At some point, Bree no longer found this man’s presence annoying. She was beginning to like him even if she didn’t realise it herself.

”Mateo, don’t die!!!” Tears rolled down her cheeks. She no longer cared about continuing the fight with Alex Jones. She just wanted him to live.

Unfortunately for them, Mateo had already used up all of the high-level healing pills and potions. And since they were wanted criminals, no one was willing to sell them any high-quality pills and potions anymore. Whatever pills and potions that he had weren’t strong enough to completely regenerate his muscles and tissues and close the wound.

Meanwhile, the City Leader felt an odd sense of satisfaction and happiness seeing these two rats like this.

”Don’t worry. I will send you to join your boyfriend very soon.” Hearing this, Bree angrily glared at Alex Jones.

Cough...!!!

”Bree...!!” Mateo called her in a very weakened voice. For Mateo, fighting was never his thing. Since he was a child, he was modest at cultivation and very bad at fighting. He was better at managing and running the territory of his Father.

”Run.....!!” Even if he died, at least he wanted her to live.

”Athena, we have to do something.” Things weren’t exactly going well on their sides either. Against eight opponents, the weakened Aflred was struggling.

He had already received many wounds from the combined attacks of these scout-level members. Since each of them covered for each other, Alfred wasn’t able to take any one of them down. The most he was able to do was catch them off guard and give serious injuries to a few scouts. But they were still able to continue providing support to others.

As for Athena, she was constantly covering for Aflred and Bree while continuing her own battle. The Goddess could cast up to six spells at the same time.

If she weren’t forced to divide her attention, she wouldn’t be on the receiving end. Till now, neither Atlas nor Athena has been able to land any proper injuries on the other. Both of them were locked in a stalemate. But Athena could tell, with Atlas being more prepared to face her, that with each passing minute, he would start to gain the advantage as their situation worsened.

’What should I do now?’ It was her mistake that caused them to get stuck in this situation. If only she hadn’t let her guard down, then their disguises wouldn’t have been seen through.

But then she paused as she sensed a strong presence heading in their direction.

At the same time, the sky above them darkened.

Drip! Drip!!!

Everyone paused and looked up. They saw the dark rapidly darkening. Dark clouds cover the bright sky. Within seconds, rain started pouring down.

At the same time, the sky started to growl with Crimson Lightning bolts. They could see these unusual Crimson Lightning bolts swimming in the dark clouds.

Seeing all these changes, Atlas, who had previously fought him, knew that he was here.

”He is here!!” Atlas no longer cared about continuing his fight with Athena or the fact that he was sent here to capture her. Right now, he cared nothing more than to wash away the humiliation that he received a few weeks back. At that time, he couldn’t even stand against that man because his strength was restricted to Peak 5th-order.

But now things were different here.

”Aditya, it’s time for your death.” Killing intent poured out of his body, suffocating everyone with it. Only Athena and Alfred remained unaffected because of their strong mental strengths.

When the name Aditya was uttered, it received some reactions.

Athena could feel her other half with a strong presence rapidly heading in their direction. She felt this strong presence carried a hint of familiarity. It was like she had met this person a long, long time ago.

Meanwhile, Alfred’s entire body started to shake out of excitement. He knew this was the moment. This is the moment he had seen in his vision. Their Crown Prince was here.

The True Emperor on the Throne.

The Rightful Heir and the only worthy King had returned.

Bree, who was holding Mateo, both looked at the sky before looking at each other.

Alex Jones’s expression changed. He could feel a third presence. It was his biggest sworn enemy’s Aura.

Booooooooom.....!!!!

”Aditya, we finally met.”

”I have waited for much for this....!!” Before he could even finish, the Monarch punched him on the chest and sent him flying like a cannonball.

As he landed, he gently released Laura and let her stand on her own. Then he yanked the chain back to pull Kaoru to him.

By now, Kaoru was almost dead. The only reason she was alive was because of her strong body that came from having been a Peak 6th-order Cultivator.

Aditya looked at everyone.

His eyes paused on Aflred for a few seconds. He had nothing but fond memories of this man. Even when the behaviour of his parents started to change, this man still remained kind and treated him well. He often went above and beyond his duties to make sure that he was taken care of.

He didn’t recognise Bree or Mateo but noticed that Mateo was very close to dying.

And then his eyes finally landed on Athena, who was looking at him before looking at her other half.

”Laura, I will deal with them. Heal this man.” He handed her a Peak 5-star Healing Potion that was inside a blue glass tube.

”So you are Aditya.” Alex Jones walked towards Aditya. His attention was on Kaoru, who appeared half dead.

But he didn’t like it. Mainly because Kaoru was his target, and it was his right to torment this Bitch like this.

”Who are you?” He asked in a cold tone.

”I am...!!”

But he couldn’t even finish when a strong, powerful force froze his body in one place.

Aditya covered the 50-meter distance and appeared before him as he had teleported. He then brought Kaoru near his face.

Bang....!!!!

The next second, a claw came out of Kaoru’s heart and pierced his heart. Both hearts were pierced in one smooth motion.

Cough...........!!!!

The violent force of the attack forced him cough out a large mouthful of blood.

”I don’t care who you are.” The Monarch spoke in a deep, cold tone with his eyes glowing in Crimson.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
