Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 955: Chapter 955:- Curse of Mystic Forest Ranger

’I don’t know why, but I feel like I am not at my 100%.’ Moros has been feeling this since he appeared here. This was the first time in his life that he felt this way.

But he didn’t think much about it.

Swoosh!!!!

Almost everyone present couldn’t follow their movements. Both of them moved like lightning. One moment, they stood opposite each other, and the next moment, they had already disappeared.

Bang...!!!!

Aditya and Moros started the fight by punching each other in the face. Despite being a Beginner 5th Order, Moros felt pain from the punch. This also made him realise the overwhelming raw strength that the dragon monarch possesses.

Aditya felt more pain from the punch. He could even feel the taste of blood in his mouth, but he ignored the pain and kept charging.

Both of them disliked each other very much.

Both of them also wanted to take out their anger on each other.

Aditya hated Moros and everyone from the organisation for daring to harm his Dragonian, and Moros just had to kill his own disciple, who was also like his nephew. He, too, was angry.

Then they retreated a few meters before dashing towards each other again.

Moros thought they would go for another head-on clash.

He even saw the Monarch aiming another punch towards his chest. But at the last second before his attack could even connect, he teleported behind his back.

Before Moros could even turn around, at lightning speed, Aditya’s entire body glowed in intense crimson lightning before he turned into a bolt of lightning.

In this form, his agility increased by another huge margin.

But Moros managed to counter his super-fast attack by relying on his pure combat experience and instinct.

Moros deflected and also protected himself using a sharp blade.

Aditya was shocked, as this was the first time anyone had managed to dodge his crimson lightning blink. His opponent not only managed to dodge the attack, but also dodged it from such close proximity.

Moros didn’t look surprised. If anything, his eyes sharpened.

”So this is the speed everyone fears....!” He said calmly.

”Slightly faster than the reports.” Hearing this, Aditya understood that these people came prepared to fight him. Through their scouts, they must have gathered information about his innate and passive skills and studied them within their Organization.

Before the last word even finished leaving his mouth, the crimson lightning vanished. Moros also reacted fast and tried to cut the Lightning in half by infusing Mana into his sword. But in his state, his agility had significantly increased. He was able to swirl around and dodge the sword strike.

While still being in his Crimson Lightning Form, Aditya used Crimson Wrap Flash. After reaching Beginner 5th-order, all of his skills had also been upgraded to the next Order. He could do things that he couldn’t do in this Lightning Form.

With the already increased pace that this form gave him, the teleportation speed of the Crimson Wrap Flash was devastating.

His agility spiked violently, crossing a threshold that most cultivators couldn’t even perceive.

BOOM!!!

Moros crossed his arms just in time to protect his chest. But the lightning bolt hit him like a Tsunami.

The impact detonated like a thunderclap. The ground beneath him cracked, caved, and shattered outward. Moros himself was launched backwards while boots carved trenches through stone before he managed to stop himself.

When he stopped, he was about 100 meters away from Aditya. And Smoke was curling from his armour. The attack burned his black cloak, revealing the Dark Green armour underneath it.

For the first time, Moros frowned.

’This wasn’t in the report.’ Since Aditya had never used teleportation while in this form, they had assumed that in this state, the Monarch was unable to teleport.

Even for Aditya, this was his first time using this combo, and it worked too well.

’Once again, I feel grateful for the opportunity to take part in the trial. The battle experience that I have gained in that place has allowed me to further refine my battle style.’ His analysis and counter to any difficult situation in a battle had significantly improved.

’I guess he didn’t just break through. His skills have also improved.’ For the first time, Moros was starting to see Aditya as a threat. There was a high possibility that his other skills also might have improved or upgraded to Next Order.

To everyone else, except for the moment when Moros was blasted backwards with a thunderclap, neither combatant could be seen. For a Beginner 5th-order cultivator to counter the peak agility of a Peak 6th-order so perfectly was nothing short of astounding.

’Something is wrong with my body.’ Moros was now sure.

While coming here, everything was perfect, but ever since he stabbed Wolf in the heart from behind, he felt something was wrong with his body. Even as an experienced cultivator, he couldn’t exactly pinpoint what was wrong. But he could feel it clearly, he wasn’t at his 100%.

His agility didn’t match up. After all, no matter how powerful and highly agile Aditya was, the gap between the 5th-order and the 6th-order was like the strength gap between a 15-year-old young man and a 30-year-old man in his prime.

His strength felt a little low.

’This all started after I killed Wolf. Did he do something to me?’ There was certainly a strong possibility of that.

After all, the name of Wolf’s class was Mystic Forest Ranger, which was a mythical-ranked class. As far as Moros knew, Wolf had a few skills related to curses and dark magic.

’It might be possible that killing him temporarily placed a curse on my soul.’ It might have been something that Wolf intentionally left so that his killer suffers.

’Damn you, traitor.’

While thinking, Aditya had already teleported. He wasn’t in his lightning form anymore. But he was still fast.

Moros managed to dodge a strike from his katana, but as he stepped back, his heightened senses felt an invisible air slash waiting just a few inches from his back. Upon contact, the air slash would activate and do its damage.

’Another new power!!!’ But if it were a Beginner 6th-order cultivator, then this might have worked. But Moros’s senses were extraordinary. He sensed the trap behind him and managed move his body to the right to dodge the attack.

Seeing this, Aditya wasn’t shocked; he was a little disappointed. The trial Administrator and the Ancestor of the Dwarf Tribe had already told him that this might be the case.

’My turn.’ Suddenly, Moros stopped. His breathing slowed down.

His heart beat also slowed down.

His body stopped making unnecessary movements.

His posture lowered slightly, like a man preparing to execute someone.

And his eyes lost all emotion. His eyes became sharp and focused.

Aditya suddenly felt the entire tempo of the battle change; before, their battle was extremely fast-paced, as both of them relied entirely on their pace.

Taking out the newly repaired and improved Adamnatite Doomblade and wielding the Raiketsu in his other hand, he attacked Moros again.

He was being cautious here. While increasing power, he tested the water to see what skill or ability Moros used.

With a gentle tap on the Raiketsu, he filled the space around them with hundreds of invisible air sword slashes.

While attacking with dual swords, with his every strike, a few of the closest air sword slashes came very close to hitting Moros.

But every time, Moros not only perfectly managed to dodge his attacks but also accurately slipped past the invisible traps. It was like he could almost see and predict his attacks.

Aditya had learned many different kinds of attacking moves. But every time he tried something, every single one of them failed.

Even when he combined teleportation with his sword attacks, he was still unable to land a single attack. Instead, he received new slashes on his right shoulder, left chest, and lower right stomach. Every time, Moros moved in with Aditya’s rhythm. He not only perfectly predicted his attacks but also perfectly countered them.

’How?’

’What kind of ability is this?’ It was almost like the opponent could see his attacks.

Stellar Inferno Sight!!!

While activating, he tried to look for any weakness using this skill. Instantly, he spotted one almost hidden rune engraved on the dark green armour.

’This explains why my Lighting Attack almost did nothing to him.’ He had a feeling that armour was especially designed to withstand his Crimson Lightning and Crimson Flame attacks.

’He is copying my fighting rhythm.’

’If that’s the case, I will change things.’ Suddenly, Aditya teleported to his right, just out of his right arm’s range.

Instead of attacking, Aditya suddenly slowed down. Moros reacted instantly.

His body twisted, and he moved to the left, blades shifting into position as he prepared to counter a twin-sword strike. His timing was perfect. His stance was flawless.

But the attack he anticipated never came. Aditya didn’t follow through.

The space between them remained empty for a brief moment. That single pause was enough.

Moros’s eyes narrowed as he realised something was wrong. His body had already moved ahead of his mind. The counter he had prepared sliced through nothing but air.

For the first time since the fight began, his rhythm was broken. Aditya had intentionally slowed down. And that hesitation was so small it lasted less than a second, but it was enough to catch Moros off guard.

”Got you!” Aditya said with a smirk.

Suddenly, he felt his entire body’s weight changing.

Moros felt his body getting heavier. At that same time, a dark, glowing vein spread from his heart all the way towards his neck and then to his brain.

Cough...!!!!

”What’s happening.....?” He said in a low tone as he coughed out a large mouthful of very dark red blood. The blood he coughed up was very dark from its usual colour.

Aditya didn’t care. He dropped the black sword.

Grabbing his throat, with an ice-cold look, he drove the Raiketsu into his heart.

But he wasn’t done.

He took out the katana and threw it down without caring about the fact that Moros coughed out another large mouthful of blood. Dark blood was also coming out of his nose, ears, and eyes. His face was covered in dark blood. And this blood also had a very disgusting, rotten smell to it.

His palms grabbed the small vertical cut over his heart. ”Do you fear Death Moros?” The Monarch asked in an ice-cold tone while forcefully making that cut big enough to put his entire palm inside.

Moros looked horrified.

Everything was going well, but suddenly everything changed.
