Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Big Face-Slapping Scene

Dragon Hollyhock and Luo Qiwei had also arrived at the Shui’an Huating Sales Center, and they witnessed the entire scene of a security guard harassing Ye Xiu and Murong.

”What is Ye Xiu doing here? Could he be looking for Zuo You?” Luo Qiwei asked, his expression grim.

”This afternoon’s viewing event is hosted by Zuo You. That’s no secret. Ye Xiu must be planning to hand over the USB drive to him here. We absolutely cannot let him succeed,” Dragon Hollyhock said gravely.

”Do you have a plan?” Luo Qiwei asked.

A sly smile touched Dragon Hollyhock’s lips. ”We find a way to make Zuo You offend Ye Xiu. That way, Ye Xiu won’t give him the USB drive.”

Luo Qiwei’s eyes lit up. ”You call Zuo You right now and tell him someone is causing a disturbance at the sales center. I’ll instruct the security captain to have his men start a fight with Ye Xiu without asking questions. When Zuo You arrives and sees the chaos, he’ll definitely target Ye Xiu, forging a feud between them. With Ye Xiu’s temper, he might even beat Zuo You up.”

”Let’s do it!” Dragon Hollyhock thought Luo Qiwei’s idea was brilliant.

With that, they immediately called Zuo You and the security captain.

By the time the guard used his walkie-talkie to report a disturbance, the security captain had already received Luo Qiwei’s call and was rushing toward the sales center entrance with his men.

”Kid, you were acting pretty tough a minute ago, weren’t you? Go on, show me some more of that bravado,” the guard said, stowing his walkie-talkie and sneering with a thuggish tilt of his head.

”Did you check the almanac before you left home today?” Ye Xiu asked coldly.

The security guard was stunned. ”Why would I check the almanac? I never look at that stuff.”

”That’s a real shame.” Suddenly, Ye Xiu kicked the guard to the ground. ”If you had,” he said coldly, ”you would have seen it predicted a bloody disaster for you today.”

The guard was kicked senseless. He couldn’t believe Ye Xiu still dared to attack even after he had called for backup. Did this kid have a death wish?

He scrambled to his feet and roared, ”You dare hit me? Fine, very good! Just you wait! If I don’t beat the shit out of you today, I’ll take your last name!”

BANG!

Ye Xiu kicked the guard down again, this time planting his foot directly on the man’s head. ”Go on,” he said coldly, ”I’m waiting to see how you’re going to beat the shit out of me.”

”Stop!” Just then, the security captain and four other guards ran out from the sales center.

Seeing them, the guard pinned under Ye Xiu’s foot was overjoyed. ”Captain, this is the guy causing trouble! Look, he hit me and now he’s stepping on my face! Hurry up and kill him—”

Before the guard could finish, the captain gave the order. ”Get him!”

The four guards behind him immediately drew their rubber batons and charged at Ye Xiu.

Watching from a distance, Dragon Hollyhock and Luo Qiwei started to laugh.

The plan is a success!

They strolled over with smiles on their faces. All they needed now was for Zuo You to arrive. With a little instigation, the conflict between him and Ye Xiu would be completely ignited.

”Looks like this property development isn’t just your average trash.” As the four guards rushed him, Ye Xiu removed his mask.

SCREECH!

The charging guards slammed to a halt the moment they saw Ye Xiu’s face. The security captain froze, dumbfounded. To their shock, the troublemaker was Ye Xiu!

By now, the people who had come for the viewing event had gathered to watch the commotion, and even some from inside the sales center had come out to see what was happening. When they saw Ye Xiu’s face, a stir went through the crowd. Their excitement at seeing Ye Xiu was matched only by their shock that the great Divine Doctor was actually causing trouble at a sales center.

The security captain was in a bind, but his confidence returned when he glanced at Luo Qiwei in the crowd and saw him nod. ”What are you all standing around for?” he bellowed. ”I don’t care who it is. If they dare cause trouble at Shui’an Huating, throw them out! Get him!”

With their reservations gone, the four security guards once again charged toward Ye Xiu.

”Wait!”

Just then, an authoritative voice rang out from the entrance of the sales office.

The four guards screeched to a halt again, turning toward the sound. Ye Xiu and everyone else present also looked toward the entrance. A young man and woman were walking out.

It was Zuo You, the eldest young master of the Zuo Family, and Zuo Song’er, the family’s eldest young lady.

Seeing this, Dragon Hollyhock and Luo Qiwei grinned even wider. Their plan was getting closer and closer to succeeding.

”Big Brother?” Seeing Ye Xiu, Zuo Song’er cried out in delight and happily scampered over.

”Big Brother?” Zuo You spotted him as well and ran over, equally excited.

This scene struck Dragon Hollyhock and Luo Qiwei like a heavy hammer, leaving them stunned.

Zuo Song’er and Zuo You are actually calling Ye Xiu ’Big Brother’? It’s over... It’s all over! Our plan is completely ruined!

The security captain and the guard under Ye Xiu’s foot were scared witless. The guard, in particular, felt like dying.

The ’pauper’ I looked down on and harassed is actually the young master and young lady’s Big Brother? It’s over... It’s all over! I’m going to lose my job!

”What are you two doing here?” Ye Xiu was also surprised to see Zuo You and Zuo Song’er. Zuo Song’er was the girl with the congenital heart defect he had saved after she and Ming Yue were in a car accident.

”Shui’an Huating is our family’s property! My brother is hosting the viewing event this afternoon, so I just came along to join the fun,” Zuo Song’er chirped, standing before Ye Xiu, unable to contain her happiness.

”Big Brother, after you saved Song’er and left that day, our parents insisted I find you. We spread flyers all over the city and I learned where you lived, but I didn’t dare visit. I was afraid you might misunderstand the Zuo family’s character,” Zuo You said excitedly.

In fact, once everyone in the city knew where Ye Xiu lived, many people had wanted to pay him a visit. But aside from Ma Tengkong, Zhu Xiaowen, and Yun Lan, no one had dared to go. They were genuinely afraid Ye Xiu would misunderstand. After all, when Ye Xiu had fallen from grace ten years ago, everyone had kept their distance. Now that his name was cleared, for them to suddenly show up with congratulations would make their character seem questionable.

”As one of the Four Young Masters of Jin Ye City, you have a very good reputation. I wouldn’t misunderstand,” Ye Xiu said with a smile.

”I’m relieved to hear you say that,” Zuo You responded, breathing a sigh of relief. ”By the way, Big Brother, what brings you here? And how did you get into a conflict with the security?”

”I came with a friend to buy a house. The guards saw our plain clothes and wouldn’t let us in. Then they decided they wanted to beat me up.” Ye Xiu pressed his foot down on the guard beneath him. ”This is the guy.”

Upon hearing this, Zuo You and Zuo Song’er’s expressions changed instantly.

”You’re fired!” Zuo You, his face livid with rage, turned to the security captain. ”What kind of captain are you? Your subordinate harasses a customer, and instead of punishing him, you help him assault the customer? You’re disgracing the company!”

The terrified security captain hastily explained, ”It was Young Master Luo Qiwei! He called and ordered me to beat up Divine Doctor Ye, no questions asked.”
