Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Sudden Incident

「Outside the restaurant of Tianheng House.」

Luo Qiwei said to Qin Qing, ”Qin Qing, Ye Xiu committed malicious assault. He’s going to prison for that.”

”What are you trying to say?” Qin Qing asked, her face devoid of expression.

”Qin Qing, you know I like you. But now I see you’ll never divorce Ye Xiu, so I want you to spend a few days with me and give me two billion as hush money. Otherwise, I’ll report him to the authorities right now, and Ye Xiu can wait to go to jail.”

Luo Qiwei leered at Qin Qing with his sleazy threat. He had given up hope of truly having her, so sleeping with her for a few days seemed like a fine consolation.

”Luo Qiwei, I never thought you were this kind of person,” Qin Qing said, her voice filled with anger. ”I must have been blind to consider you a friend for so many years.”

”Say what you will.” Luo Qiwei shrugged. ”Don’t waste time. Just tell me, yes or no.”

BANG!

Qin Qing’s leg shot up in a high kick, her size 39 white sneaker stamping squarely onto Luo Qiwei’s face. Fueled by her rage and Taekwondo training, the kick sent Luo Qiwei staggering back several steps before he collapsed onto the ground.

”You dare threaten me? You clearly don’t know whose wife I am,” Qin Qing said with the air of a gangster.

”You... Fine. Very fine. Since you’ve decided to throw all caution to the wind, don’t blame me for what comes next.”

Luo Qiwei climbed to his feet, wiped the blood from his nose, and took out his phone to make a call. However, just as he unlocked it, Qin Qing snatched it away.

CRACK!

Qin Qing forcefully smashed the phone on the ground. Then, she kicked Luo Qiwei in the face again.

She had learned this move from Ye Xiu. He had used it at Zhu Xiaowen’s party to take down a hundred security guards brought by Ye Xuan and had sent Yue Chengfeng flying twice with it. Back then, Qin Qing thought the move was incredibly cool. Now that it was her turn to perform it, she had to admit, it felt exhilarating!

What a pity there was no audience! Qin Qing thought with a twinge of regret.

”You... you... you...” Luo Qiwei was practically exploding with anger. You beat someone up and expect an audience to applaud?

He furiously scrambled to his feet. ”Do you think smashing my phone means I can’t report you? I have money. I can buy a hundred more phones. Or I can go straight to the Patrol Bureau Office and file a report myself.”

Just then, a burst of loud laughter erupted from inside the restaurant of Tianheng House. Seconds later, Qin Qing and Luo Qiwei saw several bald men in nothing but their shorts running out of the building, howling with laughter.

Qin Qing: ”???”

Luo Qiwei: ”???”

What is going on?

Just then, Ye Xiu walked out. Seeing Luo Qiwei’s bloody face and crooked nose, he asked, ”What happened to your face?”

”My shoe accidentally touched his face twice, and he ended up like this!” Qin Qing said shyly, a stark contrast to the aggressive woman who had just beaten up Luo Qiwei.

Ye Xiu chuckled. ”Why’d you kick him?”

”He threatened to report me to the authorities if I didn’t sleep with him,” Qin Qing explained.

”Oh?” Ye Xiu’s eyes narrowed. He walked up to Luo Qiwei and delivered a swift kick to his groin.

”AARGH!”

Luo Qiwei had assumed Ye Xiu was coming over to negotiate. He never expected to be attacked, let alone in his most vulnerable spot. The intense pain made him let out a scream before he fainted on the spot.

Seeing this, Qin Qing’s eyes sparkled. She felt she had learned another move. Although it clashed with her temperament, it was undeniably badass.

”Let’s go home,” Ye Xiu said, taking Qin Qing’s hand.

”Okay!”

Qin Qing didn’t ask Ye Xiu what he had discussed with the fake Huang Quan. She didn’t ask where the masterminds’ clothes and hair had gone, nor did she inquire why they were laughing so happily.

Instead, she said with a worried expression, ”I was hoping to befriend Huang Quan so the Blood Demon wouldn’t dare to kill you. I never expected him to be a fake.”

”Actually, I’ve already met the Blood Demon,” Ye Xiu said.

”Ah?” Qin Qing’s pretty face paled. ”He... he didn’t do anything to you, did he?”

”I told you before, I used Murong to lure the Blood Demon to Jin Ye City to ask for his help with something. We met this morning at Saint He Medical Academy, and he agreed to help me,” Ye Xiu explained.

Qin Qing sighed in relief, then pouted. ”Then why didn’t you tell me sooner? You made me so worried! You have to give me something to make up for my wounded heart.”

Ye Xiu thought for a moment. ”How about I send you 365 blessings?”

PFFT!

Qin Qing couldn’t help but burst out laughing. ”I’m hungry.”

”Then let’s find a place to eat first. What do you want?” Ye Xiu asked.

”You!” Qin Qing said playfully.

At that, Ye Xiu suddenly started jumping up and down on the spot.

Qin Qing stared, startled. ”What’s gotten into you?”

”You said you wanted to eat me,” Ye Xiu said between hops. ”I’m just warming up the main course!”

Qin Qing: ”...”

「Meanwhile, in a luxurious private room at Tianheng House.」

Ming Yue was eagerly awaiting Ye Xiu’s arrival. Her thinking was simple: if she could build a relationship with him, he might spare her and the Ming Family.

However, as evening fell, Ye Xiu still hadn’t shown up. It was then that Ming Yue realized Ye Xiu had been playing her, and she felt incredibly disheartened.

...

After dinner, Ye Xiu and Qin Qing were watching TV in the living room while he gave her a massage. Qin Qing had practiced her swordsmanship all afternoon and was completely exhausted.

Suddenly, Ye Xiu’s phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID was Gong Jin, Qin Qing snatched the phone. She answered and put it on speaker, as if afraid Ye Xiu and Gong Jin might discuss something not meant for her ears.

”Young Master, I’ve found them. The person who instructed the fake Huang Quan is from the Mo Family of Jin Ye City.”

”The Mo Family?” Ye Xiu paused. ”Why would the Mo Family create a fake Huang Quan? Did they have nothing better to do?”

Qin Qing was completely lost. She didn’t know who the Mo Family was and was even more confused about why Ye Xiu wanted to find the person behind the fake Huang Quan.

Gong Jin continued, ”Ye Tianming personally called Old Master Mo and asked for his help in driving you out of Jin Ye City. Mo Qingxuan didn’t want a direct confrontation, so he came up with the idea of using Huang Quan to scare you away.”

”I see.” Ye Xiu hung up and fell silent, his brow furrowed in thought.

”This is a chain of plots,” Qin Qing said sagely.

Ye Xiu’s eyes lit up. ”Go on.”

”I don’t know this Old Master Mo, but I know Ye Tianming. He’s a very smart man and wouldn’t be foolish enough to think a fake Huang Quan alone could scare you away. I bet this is just the first step; there’s more to come,” Qin Qing said.

After listening, Ye Xiu looked at Qin Qing’s pretty face with admiration. ”Qin Qing, you’re a wise one.”

”Absolutely!” Qin Qing beamed.

”I’ll have Chloe come give you a massage. I’m going to pay a visit to the Mo Family,” Ye Xiu said as he rose to his feet.

”I’ll wait for you!” Qin Qing said anxiously. She knew Ye Xiu was formidable, but the fact that Ye Tianming had personally called Old Master Mo meant he was no ordinary person. Ye Xiu’s visit to the Mo Family made her very worried.

”Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”

Ye Xiu cupped her face, gave her a quick kiss, and walked out.

Just as he stepped out of the villa, he heard the sound of a helicopter overhead. He looked up and saw it flying back and forth over Tu Mountain Manor, scattering large amounts of paper.

A few sheets drifted down toward him, and he casually caught one.

When he saw what was written on it, his expression changed dramatically.
