Medical and Martial God

Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Turning on the Electric Fan to the Seventh Gear

”Alright, I’ll leave it to you.”

Ye Xiu sat back in the recliner, closed his eyes, and basked in the sun.

If Nie Yunfei were healthy, he would never have let the man leave alive today. The humiliation from years ago had to be avenged. Besides, Nie Yunfei was a wicked man; killing him would have been a service to the public. But now, Nie Yunfei didn’t have many days left to live. Simply killing him would be far less satisfying than letting his illness torment him to death.

COUGH, COUGH, COUGH, COUGH...

Provoked by Zhu Xiaowen’s words, Nie Yunfei began to cough violently. His face grew even paler, and a cold sweat instantly beaded on his forehead.

After a coughing fit, Nie Yunfei gasped for breath and said angrily, ”Zhu Xiaowen, Yun Lan, for Ye Xiu’s sake, are you truly determined to make an enemy of me?”

”That’s right!” Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan responded in unison.

In the past, they would have never dared to provoke Nie Yunfei. The Nie Family’s power was simply too great, stronger than the Zhu and Yun Families combined. But now, with Ye Xiu backing them, they feared no one—not even a coalition of all the powerful families in Jin Ye City.

”Good. I’ll remember this,” Nie Yunfei sneered, suppressing the urge to strangle Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan. ”But do you really think the two of you can protect Ye Xiu? To save my life, the Nie Family will spare no expense, and that includes going to Panlong Pavilion.”

At the mention of Panlong Pavilion, the expressions on Zhu Xiaowen’s and Yun Lan’s faces turned grave.

”Ye Xiu, you probably haven’t heard of Panlong Pavilion, have you?” Nie Yunfei said, glaring coldly at him. ”Like Ming Feng Tower, it’s one of the most mysterious organizations in Jin Ye City—and indeed, the entire world. On the surface, it’s a club, but in reality, it’s the world’s largest chain of the Assassins Guild. So tell me, if I were to offer one billion, don’t you think assassins from all over the world would come for your head?”

Hearing this, Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan panicked.

”Nie Yunfei, you dare!” Zhu Xiaowen retorted angrily. ”If you do that, I’ll go to Panlong Pavilion and put a price on your life, too! Don’t think you’re their only member.”

”I’m already a dying man. I would gladly drag Ye Xiu down with me,” Nie Yunfei shot back, with the brazen attitude of a man who had nothing left to lose.

Now, Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan were out of options. They truly believed Nie Yunfei was capable of something so crazy. For a dying man, money was no object. If spending the entire Nie Family fortune could force Ye Xiu to treat him, he wouldn’t hesitate for a second.

”Ye Xiu, what should we do?” Zhu Xiaowen asked, turning to him for help.

”Let him go to Panlong Pavilion and waste his money buying my life,” Ye Xiu said nonchalantly from the recliner, his eyes still closed.

Like Ming Feng Tower, Panlong Pavilion belongs to him. Even if Nie Yunfei spent his entire fortune, Panlong Pavilion would never issue the contract. Besides, what assassin in the world would dare to try and kill Huang Quan?

”Ye Xiu, are you trying to defy me?” Nie Yunfei was furious that even the name Panlong Pavilion hadn’t intimidated Ye Xiu. He roared, ”I’ll ask you one last time: will you treat me or not? If you refuse, I’ll have my bodyguards break your legs right now.”

A cold smile touched Ye Xiu’s lips. ”Then by all means, have your bodyguards come give my legs a massage.”

”You’re courting death!” Fully enraged, Nie Yunfei ordered his two bodyguards, ”Go! Beat him up first. If he still refuses to treat me, break both his legs.”

”Yes!” The two bodyguards cracked their knuckles and advanced on Ye Xiu.

Seeing this, Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan couldn’t help but smile. Those two useless bodyguards think they can beat a Great Grandmaster? Heh...

Just then, a furious roar of ”Ye Xiu!” echoed through the air. Everyone turned to see Guo Xiang, the top disciple of the Vajra Sect, storming over angrily.

”Mr. Guo?” Nie Yunfei’s eyes lit up. ”What brings you here?”

”Ah, it’s Young Master Nie,” Guo Xiang said, greeting him hastily. Although he was part of the Ancient Martial Circle, he was still a man with worldly needs. He loved associating with wealthy young masters like Nie Yunfei, as it was a great way to make money. He asked, ”Are you and Ye Xiu friends?”

”I came seeking treatment from Ye Xiu, but he refused,” Nie Yunfei said tactfully.

The implication was obvious. He wanted Guo Xiang to help force Ye Xiu into treating him.

Guo Xiang understood the unspoken request. ”Don’t worry, Young Master Nie. I’ll make sure Ye Xiu cures you. However, I need to take him somewhere right now, so I’m afraid he won’t have time to treat you today.”

”If not today, then tomorrow!” Nie Yunfei laughed. Guo Xiang was an expert in Ancient Martial Arts from the Vajra Sect. Ye Xiu would never dare to disrespect him.

”Alright!” Guo Xiang nodded, walked right up to Ye Xiu, and said coldly, ”What did I tell you this morning? I told you to be at the stadium by nine o’clock. It’s ten now, and you’re here sunbathing? I see you’ve grown tired of living.”

Ye Xiu opened his eyes to look at Guo Xiang. ”Do you know what happened to the last person who spoke to me like that?”

Guo Xiang paused. ”What happened?”

”He died.” With that, Ye Xiu thrust out his palm, unleashing a ferocious torrent of energy that felt like a violent storm.

Seeing this, the color drained from Guo Xiang’s face. He never expected Ye Xiu to be a Martial Artist, let alone one far stronger than himself. Faced with Ye Xiu’s palm strike, he wanted to dodge but was unable to.

BOOM!

Guo Xiang felt as if countless invisible blades had torn through his clothes and skin to pierce his Dantian. The attack instantly crippled it, destroying the Inner Strength he had spent more than thirty years cultivating.

PFFT...

Guo Xiang spat a mouthful of blood and collapsed to his knees. ”You... you dare cripple my Martial Arts?” he seethed. ”This is a provocation against the Vajra Sect!”

”Do you know who destroyed the Mo Family?” Ye Xiu asked quietly.

Guo Xiang was stunned. ”Who?”

Ye Xiu stood up, leaned close to Guo Xiang’s ear, and whispered, ”I did. And now, I’m heading to the stadium. If Song Penghui’s attitude is the same as yours, then I’ll just wipe out the Vajra Sect as well.”

With that, he raised a hand and snapped his fingers. ”Hang this guy on the ceiling fan. Set it to speed seven.”

Chloe trotted over and began dragging Guo Xiang away to find a fan. The task was proving difficult, as Ye Xiu’s house didn’t have a ceiling fan, much less one with seven speeds.

”Y-you, you...”

Watching Guo Xiang being hauled away, Nie Yunfei and his two bodyguards stared at Ye Xiu in horror. The bodyguards, in particular, were terrified, suddenly overcome with gratitude toward Guo Xiang. If he hadn’t shown up, Ye Xiu might have killed them.

”Y-you’re an expert in Ancient Martial Arts?” Nie Yunfei stammered in shock.

”Scared now?” Ye Xiu looked at him with contempt. ”You were quite arrogant just now. Go on, keep threatening me. Maybe you’ll actually scare me into treating you.”

Nie Yunfei: ”...”

”Trash!” Ye Xiu slapped Nie Yunfei to the ground, then turned to Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan. ”Let’s go. I’ll take you to the stadium for some fun.”

”Alrighty!” Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan were delighted, each taking one of Ye Xiu’s arms...
