Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 95, I Don’t Even Need to Summon My Dragon to Beat You

Translator: Silavin

Hong Wu was originally very confident in his Golden Bell Cover, because unless the opponent’s Strength Attribute was above 280 points, they would not be able to break through his defences.

280 in Strength was an unattainable number even for a Second Profession Change Swordsman, how could Lu Fan, a Dragon Tamer, possibly reach it?

Unfortunately, he underestimated Lu Fan. He did not know just how monstrous Lu Fan’s All Four Attributes were right now.

The supposedly impenetrable Golden Bell Cover was like paper under Lu Fan’s foot, shattered by Lu Fan’s kick.

At the same time, Lu Fan’s foot stomped hard on Hong Wu’s chest. With a muffled thud, Hong Wu was directly trampled to the ground.

Due to the huge gap in their Agility Attribute, Hong Wu could not even manage to push out his second Qigong Wave before Lu Fan directly broke through his move, stomping him into the ground with blood gushing from his mouth.

Moreover, arcs of electricity flashed over Lu Fan’s body, crackling and striking Hong Wu, leaving him charred outside and tender inside. He instantly lost the ability to fight.

Lu Fan had not expected that the Passive Skill from Roar of the Blue Dragon King would get triggered, causing Hong Wu to become Paralysed.

Because Hong Wu was now Paralysed, Lu Fan only needed one more kick to easily crush him to death.

However, this was in school, and sparring was just for practice. Lu Fan and Hong Wu had no grievances, so he would never kill him.

Lu Fan lifted his foot and shook his head, sighing, “Not good enough. You are too weak. I have not even used my full power, and you’re already down?”

Hong Wu’s entire body was Paralysed, but he could still hear Lu Fan’s words.

For a moment, he was both angry and frustrated, with more blood spilling from his mouth.

The surrounding people first fell into a brief silence, then erupted in an uproar.

It was over already!?

From start to finish, Lu Fan only kicked once, and directly one-shotted the so-called versatile Hidden Profession, Qigong Master?!

The key is, where was his Dragon!? How could he call himself a Dragon Tamer if he did not even bother to summon his Dragon!?

Everyone was shocked and extremely disappointed. In the end, it was because Hong Wu was too weak. In this sparring match, the other party did not even need to summon his Dragon. One casual kick had ended the match.

No, it’s not that Hong Wu was weak. It was just that Lu Fan was too strong!

Originally, quite a few people thought that Lu Fan, as a Dragon Tamer, a Summoning Type Profession, was only strong when he summoned his Dragon out.

But Lu Fan used his actions to announce to everyone, ‘Sorry, I might not even need to summon my Dragon to beat you.’

A powerful Qigong Master was easily one-shotted. If Lu Fan had really summoned his Dragon, how could anyone resist!?

In the crowd, Tao Xiaoman was the only one who was friends with Lu Fan but did not understand how strong he really was.

At the same time, Tao Xiaoman had heard from Qin Qiu that Lu Fan’s Black Dragon usually looked like a mischievous child, but once it entered its Battle Form, it was terrifyingly strong. It was at least ten times stronger than Lu Fan himself.

Originally, Tao Xiaoman thought that Lu Fan might have only become the top student of South Province because he had a Black Dragon. Without the Giant Dragon, she thought her strength would still be superior to Lu Fan’s in a one-on-one fight. It was only after seeing Lu Fan in action for the first time today that Tao Xiaoman’s whole reality had turned.

Even she could not have blocked that kick. Lu Fan’s Strength and Agility Attributes were just too high. Tao Xiaoman knew they must be several times higher than her own!

“Lu Fan… isn’t he too strong?” Tao Xiaoman’s face was full of disbelief.

Qin Qiu was more composed, smiling and saying, “Lu Fan has always been very powerful. When I first met him, he was already stronger than Uncle Ge. At first, I thought he had a Warrior Type Profession, you know? Hong Wu was bound to suffer once he treated him as someone with only a Summoning Type Profession.”

“But isn’t Dragon Tamer a Summoning Type Profession?” Tao Xiaoman shook her head repeatedly, feeling like she was questioning her life, “You said Lu Fan’s Black Dragon is ten times stronger than he himself. Lu Fan is already so powerful. Just how strong is that Dragon then? I really can’t begin to imagine…”

Qin Qiu smiled and said, “Well, Dragons are naturally stronger than we can imagine.”

On the other side, Jin Zhu was very displeased seeing Lu Fan steal the spotlight. She knew Lu Fan was even stronger than she had thought.

She turned to look at Chen Tianzhi, frowning and asking, “You saw his kick just now? How confident are you in beating him?”

Chen Tianzhi’s face was solemn. After thinking for a moment, he said, “I can also one-shot that Qigong Master without using a Pet Dragon, relying solely on my own strength, but not as easily as he did. So, if you ask about my chances of winning against him, I only have a 30% chance.”

After a pause, Chen Tianzhi added solemnly, “But with Princess’s curse enhancement, I have a 70% chance!”

“70%? That’s not bad.” Jin Zhu was quite satisfied with Chen Tianzhi’s answer. After all, Chen Tianzhi’s Dragon did seem to be weaker than Lu Fan’s. It was normal for his strength to be inferior to Lu Fan’s.

However, with her Buffs added to Chen Tianzhi, the result would be different!

Jin Zhu’s gaze turned vicious, secretly deciding that she must find a chance to avenge herself!

On Lu Fan’s side, since the outcome was decided, Lu Fan could not be bothered to waste any more time with Hong Wu. He directly took out his identity card and began to authenticate the withdrawal.

Because Lu Fan had indeed won the sparring match, the 400 points were quickly transferred back to Lu Fan’s identity card. Lu Fan’s identity card displayed a number ‘13421’ before disappearing.

This was the current remaining points in Lu Fan’s identity card. Every time points were withdrawn or deposited, it would be displayed.

When 200 points were deducted earlier, Lu Fan’s identity card also flashed a number, but because the digits were too small, no one else saw it clearly.

No one else but Hong Wu, who was lying right next to Lu Fan. When the number appeared on Lu Fan’s identity card, Hong Wu saw it very clearly.

Instantly, Hong Wu was dumbfounded.

He clearly remembered that his own points were 1025, and Lu Fan’s points were one digit more than his, more than ten times as much.

[If the granted points were about one-ninetieth of the major exam score, then wouldn’t Lu Fan’s score be… 1.3 million points!? Holy shit!!]

Hong Wu felt like he had been Paralysed again by Lu Fan’s Lightning Element attack. [1.3 million major exam points!? How is that possible!? Even Chen Tianzhi, who ranked second in South Province, only had 210,000 points! Yet, Lu Fan’s major exam score is over a million points higher than Chen Tianzhi’s score!? Is this even something a Human can achieve!?]

Previously, Hong Wu knew Lu Fan was strong, but he thought they were close to equals. After all, they all just had their Profession Changed. How much could the difference be between them?

Profession Characteristics should be able to make up for this gap.

But now, Hong Wu finally realised how naive he had been before.

His major exam score was not even as much as the other’s leftover change, how could he compare!?

Wanting to challenge Lu Fan was truly laughable…

In an instant, all of Hong Wu’s spirit was completely gone the moment he saw Lu Fan’s granted points.

Lu Fan did not notice Hong Wu’s change in expression. After transferring the points, Lu Fan called out to see if anyone present was a Priest who could heal Hong Wu. Once that was dealt with, he went to find Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman to leave the auditorium.

With the identity cards now, Lu Fan and the others could already go run Dungeon Instances. Lu Fan naturally wanted to seize the opportunity to Level Up Xiao Cui.

After discussing with Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman, the two girls also gladly agreed to go check out the University’s Dungeon Hall. After all, in this world, Level was king.

Being able to reach Level 30 earlier and undergo the Second Profession Change would be a great boost to their strength.

The three arrived at the Dungeon Hall, where there were many Transport Arrays. Each Transport Array would teleport them to the location of a Dungeon Instance. They just needed to teleport over and then enter the Dungeon Instance.

Of course, all Dungeon Instances required points to be consumed, with the Transport Arrays being not free. Also, the lower the Dungeon Instance Level, the less Experience, and fewer rewards the Dungeon Instance would give out. Naturally, the fewer points those Dungeon Instances required, and vice versa.

The entire Dungeon Hall had more than forty Transport Arrays, which meant that Dragon Capital University had control over the usage rights of more than forty Dungeon Instances.

This kind of resource was definitely among the top in the country.

Because there were so many Dungeon Instances, Lu Fan did not immediately know which one to run.

Fortunately, Lu Fan had done his homework before coming, having read the freshmen handbook. He knew there was a service desk in the Dungeon Hall where they could inquire about information on all of Dragon Capital University’s Dungeon Instances.

Lu Fan brought Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman to the service desk, where they were received by a third year student teaching assistant.

“Hello, I’d like to inquire about the Dungeon Instances in this University,” Lu Fan said politely to the Senior.

The Senior also smiled faintly and gave them a tablet, then explained, “Alright, give me your identity cards, and I’ll send over all the information on the Dungeon Instances. You can access it on your tablet.”

“Okay.” Lu Fan, Qin Qiu, and Tao Xiaoman all handed over their identity cards to this teaching assistant.

The assistant first swiped Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman’s identity cards, looked at the information and asked, “You’re all new students this year? As your Senior, I can recommend a few Dungeon Instances that consume fewer points, have low difficulty, but give decent Experience. After all, you’re all new students, it’s not easy to earn points by doing missions…”

Saying this, the Senior also put Lu Fan’s identity card on the card reader.

Instantly, the point number displayed made this Senior stunned. After rubbing her eyes hard to confirm she was not seeing things, she was completely dumbfounded.

“You…” The Senior looked at Lu Fan, then pointed at the computer screen in front of her, asking, “How are your points so high!? Aren’t you all new students?”

Lu Fan smiled and explained, “We’re all new students, but my major exam score is a bit higher than the others, so my granted points are also higher.”

“Don’t joke with me, even if your granted points are high, they can’t be this high… Wait, are you the top scorer? The one from South Province? That Dragon Tamer!?”
