Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 67, Dragon, Epitome of Power

Lu Fan was overjoyed.

When calculated, Lu Fan had already Levelled Up when he killed the Despair Vengeful Zombie earlier. Later, the Experience Points from the Light Abhorrer had caused Lu Fan’s Experience Points to surge, putting him on the verge of another Level Up.

Now, after clearing twenty floors of the Sky Scaling Tower, and killing a Level 15 Boss, Levelling Up was a sure thing.

However, Xiao Ye being able to Level Up was beyond Lu Fan’s expectations.

After all, Xiao Ye had just Levelled Up after killing the Light Abhorrer. Levelling up again now also showed that the Experience Points Xiao Ye needed to Level Up were not much more than Lu Fan’s. Or rather, the Passive Skill Accelerated Growth Aura was just that potent.

Even for Xiao Ye, who was like a bottomless pit for Experience Points, Levelling Up was not as difficult as before with the double Experience Boost.

Presumably, when this Skill level increased further, increasing Xiao Ye’s Experience gain to three or four times, Xiao Ye’s level would get closer and closer to Lu Fan’s level.

Lu Fan was delighted and directly proceeded to the twenty-first floor, continuing to challenge for more points.

Outside the exam venue, the scene of Xiao Ye using one Lava Blaze to directly kill the Dark Priest and Dark Knights left all the spectators petrified. They had originally thought that Lu Fan’s Dragon should be strong in the Physical aspects, with extremely high Strength and Endurance Attributes.

They had expected it to be somewhat lacking in Magic Damage.

However, Xiao Ye’s Lava Blaze just now gave everyone a slap in the face. It was as if announcing to them, ‘Sorry, Magic Damage is also my forte’.

This Dragon was too invincible! How can the same being have off-the-charts Physical Damage and at the same time such terrifying Magic Damage!?

Was it just because it was a Dragon? A Dragon was all one needed to be? Was that how everything made sense?

It was only reasonable because it was a Dragon. They were the epitome of power.

Now, all the principals, high-ranking officials in Jianghai City’s Education Board, as well as Qin Shanhai and Qian Xiong, all felt that no matter what surprise Lu Fan gave them next, it would not be excessive.

After killing the Boss on the twentieth floor, Lu Fan’s score reached 90,000 points.

This score was already enough to rank in the top five in Jianghai City. After all, the Nightmare difficulty gave incredibly generous points. Furthermore, Lu Fan’s exam was far from over at this point.

About half an hour later.

On the fiftieth floor of the Sky Scaling Tower, for Hong Wu.

*Boom!* With a huge sound, massive rocks fell off, and a monster as tall as a mountain in front of Hong Wu collapsed, turning into countless rolling stones.

Hong Wu’s head was already covered in blood, with blood flowing down his temples nearly blinding his eyes.

After killing the Boss on this floor, Hong Wu sat down heavily, panting hard. He took out a Red Potion from his Mission Inventory and gulped it down.

This was a Health Potion. Although it was a Low Grade Health Potion, its effect was still quite good. Hong Wu only needed to rest for a while, and most of his injuries would recover.

“Luckily I activated the Golden Bell Cover in advance. Otherwise that punch from that Mountain Giant just now could have really taken my life.” Thinking about the battle just now, Hong Wu could not help but break out in a cold sweat.

This fiftieth floor was the famous Mountain Giant, a Level 15 Boss, one of the top-tier Bosses in terms of strength.

The Mountain Giant not only had extremely high Strength and Endurance, but also had a Passive Skill, Rock Skin.

Magic Attacks falling on its body would automatically be weakened by 30%, which was simply overpowered.

Such a high-defence, high-attack Monster would give any Profession a headache when encountering it.

Even agile Assassins facing this kind of Monster could at best rely on their high Agility to avoid being instantly killed. For them, killing such a Boss would be extremely difficult.

Hong Wu cursed inwardly, this year’s exam was really abnormal. According to the difficulty of previous years’ exam, a powerful Boss like the Mountain Giant should have appeared around the seventieth floor.

Probably this year’s average score in the South Province would be about ten thousand points lower than previous years.

He was really unlucky to encounter the most difficult test in ten years when taking this major exam.

Still, Hong Wu thought to himself, [if it’s difficult for me, it’s difficult for others too, which made it fair.[

“The person who can compete with me for the top seat in Jianghai City this year should only be Qin Qiu, right?” Hong Wu muttered, “As a Holy Light Mage, Qin Qiu’s Damage Output is weaker than ordinary Mages. Encountering the Mountain Giant’s Rock Skin, she would not be able to damage it under normal circumstances.”

“And that girl surnamed Tao who has teamed up with her, although she’s a Swordsman, she most likely won’t be able to deal much damage in the face of the Mountain Giant’s high Endurance. As a Qigong Master, my Skills carry ‘Internal Force’ damage, which can ignore part of the Monster’s defence. Even with that, I still had such a hard time. The two of them will probably be delayed for a lot longer on this floor.”

“Hehe, that’s perfect. Their scores should be about the same as mine. But, since I cleared this floor in less time, there will be a time bonus when the final score gets calculated. At that time, I’ll be able to leave them far behind in terms of our score!”

“The title of Jianghai City’s top student belongs to no one else but me!”
