Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 56, Why Invite Lu Fan?

“Alright then, anyway, I wish you good luck!” Qin Qiu hid her disappointment and gave Lu Fan a sweet smile.

Lu Fan nodded and smiled, “Same to you, perform well in the exam.”

“En.” Qin Qiu responded, then said, “Well… I’m going back to the area where First Academy students are. I won’t bother you anymore.”

Saying this, she said goodbye to Lu Fan and pulled Tao Zi back to the area designated for First Academy in the waiting area.

After returning to the First Academy area, Tao Zi curiously asked, “Xiao Qiu, why would you suddenly invite a Dragon Tamer to our team? Didn’t we agree that the two of us would team up, with me as the frontline and you as the backline, covering both Physical Attack and Magic Attack. Don’t we already have the best lineup? You already know how strong I am. All Four Attributes of mine are almost thirty, and I have three Silver equipment. Do we really need to find someone else to strengthen our team?”

Like Qin Qiu, Tao Zi came from a big Family and was also quite strong herself. Although she did not manage to get a Hidden Profession, her strength was not inferior to those with Hidden Professions.

Originally, as Qin Qiu’s best friend, she had agreed early on to team up with Qin Qiu for the major exam.

With their strength and Profession configuration, they could handle various exam questions. Adding anyone else would just be a burden sharing points.

So, Tao Zi did not understand why Qin Qiu would actively invite someone else to join their team – and the other person was even a Dragon Tamer.

Even if he was a Dragon Tamer with all Attributes above thirty, without his Profession Skills, would he not be dragging them down?

Just after asking this, Tao Zi thought of Lu Fan’s appearance and suddenly showed a mischievous smile, saying, “Oh~ I know, Xiao Qiu, you have a crush on that Dragon Tamer, don’t you? I admit that Dragon Tamer does look quite good. It’s just a pity he ended up being a Dragon Tamer. Do you want to help him farm some points during the major exam, and make him owe you a favour, then…”

“Hey! Stop it! Stop overthinking!” Qin Qiu’s face instantly turned red, and she lightly punched Tao Zi with her small fist.

“I invited him because he’s really strong…”

“Come on, who would believe that!” Seeing Qin Qiu’s face turn red, Tao Zi was more convinced that she had guessed right. [Oh my. Qin Qiu, the school beauty of First Academy had never blushed for anyone before. She has countless men pursuing her yet, she blushed as soon as that Dragon Tamer got mentioned? There’s something juicy here!]

Tao Zi continued with a mischievous smile, “If you didn’t have feelings for him, why would you actively invite him to our team? And don’t tell me you invited him because he’s strong. The top in First Academy, Hong Wu, managed to get the Hidden Profession Qigong Master. I heard he asked you several times to team up, but you’ve always refused him. If you’re not interested in Hong Wu, how could you be interested in a Dragon Tamer without Profession Skills?”

Qin Qiu shook her head and smiled. [Hong Wu? Ten Hong Wus would not be enough to beat Lu Fan…]

Lu Fan’s strength had already surpassed the scope of examinees. Among the millions of examinees this year, who could compare to Lu Fan?

However, Qin Qiu could not tell Tao Zi that Lu Fan was a Dragon Tamer with a Dragon. After all, this secret could not be spread around.

So, Qin Qiu just brushed this topic aside, “Anyway… Lu Fan is really strong, and I’m not lying to you. Believe it or not, he might very well be the top scorer in our South Province this year.”

Tao Zi naturally did not believe her and laughed, “Him? The top scorer? I definitely don’t believe you. With so many examinees in South Province, so many Hidden Professions, even you might not rank in the top ten of South Province. How could he compete for the top spot? If he, as a Dragon Tamer, really had a Dragon, then it would not be a problem. But they are Dragons! Everyone has heard of them but who has actually seen one? Let alone having one as a Pet.”

“Hmph! Believe it or not, just wait and see how Lu Fan will amaze you!” Qin Qiu wrinkled her nose, looking very cute.

Tao Zi was stunned for a moment. She then reached out to tickle Qin Qiu’s waist, laughing, “Oh? My Xiao Qiu is now speaking for an outsider and arguing with me? Where has our Sisterhood gone? You this traitor, go and team up with your Lu Fan…”

“Ah, no, no, don’t touch me, I’m ticklish… I’m sorry, Sister Tao Zi… I’m sawry…” The two girls laughed and played around together, while many First Academy students who admired School Beauty Qin and School Beauty Tao watched with pleasure.

Soon, no more students were being teleported to the waiting area. It seems like all the examinees participating in this year’s major exam had gathered.

Several Transport Arrays lit up, and the principals of Jianghai City’s Eight Academies all arrived, taking their seats at a long-vacant table, on a platform above the waiting area.

Besides the old principals, there were also some High Ranking Officials from Jianghai City’s Education Board, as well as City Lord Qin Shanhai. It was a total of nearly twenty people who took their seats at a round table.
