Behind a massive, concealed reef, two assassins were still arguing.

Their dispute was over who should escape!

Although they didn’t see eye to eye on regular days, when facing the reality of life and death, their companionship was undeniable.

“Enough, instead of running away, let’s confront them.

At present, only a few mercenaries are looking for us, most of their firepower is busy dealing with the Japanese government.

We have a chance!

We just have to eliminate them and flee!”

A predatory gleam flashed in the Bearded man’s eyes.

The bespectacled young man contemplated for a moment, his glasses missing a lens on a side, and the exposed eye was glinting with killing intent!

Despite being well-known assassins, they had enough killing intent.

After being hunted for many days, who wouldn’t have a counterattack in mind?!

They were like wounded beasts who would rather die taking down an opponent!

“Okay!” agreed the bespectacled young man, echoing the bearded man’s strategy!

Just as the two were preparing, they heard a strapping white mercenary yelling in English from not far away: “Watch out!”

What happened?!

The two of them were startled!

At this moment, only the ceaseless sounds of the waves were heard on the beach.

Although, under the overlaying sound of the waves, a barely audible breeze rose gently!

In line with the shout of that white man, Yu Long finally woke up!

He saw a bird, supposed to fly away, swiftly pouncing towards them!

What on earth is it?!

Yu Long looked in disbelief!

The flying creature’s size was growing larger and it was getting closer!

Whoosh!!——

The sound of a violent wind, was before their eyes in the blink of an eye!

The creature has incredibly long legs, with a sharp blade-like protrusion at the front end!

When it extended the protrusion, its pointed top was directed straight at the three, making a head on attack!

Yu Long felt his scalp tingle, such a bizarre entity, such a sudden crisis, was beyond his expectations.

Only his natural instincts from being faced with several life and death situations prevailed, he swiftly sidestepped in the nick of time!

Narrowly avoiding the giant flying creature’s attack.

However, the creature’s other leg’s protrusion could not be dodged by another white man!

“Ah!”

Yu Long only heard a loud scream beside him.

He looked over, and under the faint gleam of light, he saw what was happening in front of him…

A giant mosquito, over three feet in length, had used its two meter long front leg to pierce through the whole chest of one of his companion, a white man!

The leg had gone in through the chest and out from the back!

That front leg’s power was terrifying beyond description!

“What the hell is this!” Yu Long felt an indescribable horror rising from the depths of his heart.

As a mercenary who had gone through thick and thin, a man who had survived several battlegrounds, was stupefied by the bizarre scene before him!

For that brief moment, he was almost about to lose his life!

The giant jumping mosquito used one of its back legs, which had a terrifying power even though it had no blade-like protrusion.

This back leg, much longer, approximately two and a half meters long, shot towards Yu Long’s cheek!

If it had stomped him with its horribly strong leg, given its powerful force, life or death for Yu Long would be unpredictable!

Fortunately, before that could happen, Yu Long gathered his wits, grit his teeth and rolled over!

Crunch!

The giant mosquito’s back leg landed on the ground, shattering a sturdy pebble into pieces!

“Too close!” Seeing the power of the mosquito’s leg, Yu Long turned pale!

Had he been slower by a fraction of a second, his fate wouldn’t have been any better than the pebble.

The remaining white mercenary and Yu Long tumbled out of the giant mosquito’s vicinity while the white man yelled in surprise, “What is this!”

He then lifted his firearm, aiming at the mosquito’s dark body and began pulling the trigger—again and again!

Bang, bang, bang!!

A flurry of bullets hit it’s body, the giant mosquito was forced back by the bullets’ inertia.

Its huge body was thrown into mid-air.

But then the creature extended its wings, with one flap, it stabilized itself in the air!

It shook its head slightly, it’s compound eyes, coldly staring at the two remaining mercenaries down below!

And its body, where several bullets had struck, showed no signs of damage!

No!

It’s not that there were no changes, but the bullets were lodged in what seemed like a solid gel-like substance on the surface of the mosquito’s body!

“What in the world is this thing made of?

Even bullets from a rifle can only penetrate it a tiny bit!”

Just as if bullets were getting stuck, within just a couple of seconds, the Black Giant Mosquito spluttered a little, shaking the bullets off like pebbles.

They fell onto the ground with a pinging sound!

“This…” Not only was the white mercenary who had been firing bullets astonished, but also Yu Long, the man in charge, was looking extremely shocked!

What was with this huge mosquito appearing all of a sudden amidst the ongoing battle?!

“Could it be that this giant mosquito has something to do with the giant mosquitoes that have been in the national news lately?” Yu Long’s face looked grim.

As a member of the Huaxia, he was aware of the significant attention recently given to giant mosquito incidents in Huaxia.

There had even been an online video of one such giant mosquito engaging in open combat with the Huaxia National Army, which he had seen!

That mosquito, despite being only about twenty centimeters big, had moved freely amidst an exchange of gunfire.

However, the one in front of him now was even larger, exceeding a meter in size!

Did that mean this one was far more formidable?!

Everything that had happened took place in a flash.

With the giant mosquito knocked back severely by bullets but then gradually recomposing its figure in the sky, the white mercenary, who had the mosquito’s leg embedded in his chest and then pulled out as the insect was thrown off balance by the gunfire, was still conscious!

“Oh, my God.

Oh, my God!”

As he muttered to himself, he touched the wound on his chest.

He looked down only to see that his own blood was gushing freely from his chest injury!

He kept mumbling and expecting his palm to stop the bleeding.

But it was in vain!

The wound was a clean puncture through and through.

Even if he could stop the bleeding from one side, the wound on his back was still bleeding.

With Jia Yan’s front leg puncturing even military grade armor defenses, easily piercing through the mere flesh and blood of a human was no challenge!

The severely injured white man looked a bit dazed, unsure of what he was seeing as his eyes lost focus.

Helplessly he took a step forward!

And then, he fell over!

Clang!

The first mercenary was dead!

Jia Yan’s compound eyes glowed even brighter!

Descending slowly from the sky like a monarch, he didn’t conceal himself in the least.

Hum, hum, hum…

His wings buzzed as he approached the two remaining mercenaries little by little, unhurriedly.

Just like a reaper selecting whom to devour!

His blood-stained forelimb, under the dim street light, cast a terrifying blood-red glint!

“This, this…”

Not only the soldiers, but also the two assassins hiding behind the rock and peeking out were totally shocked by the scene before them!

A mosquito?

Such a gigantic mosquito, this is…

“Could it be that this gigantic mosquito has something to do with the senior?” The bespectacled young man stammered.

“The senior’s online alias is ‘Insect Literature’!” The bearded man also suddenly realized what was going on!

Could it really have something to do with their senior?!

Although these two people who have been watching Huaxia had heard of the giant mosquito, they didn’t have the chance to read the post about the gory fight between the giant mosquito and the Huaxia army which was soon drowned by the breaking news of three giant monsters and suppressed by the Chinese side.

Otherwise, once they saw Jia Yan in his metallic exoskeleton, they would undoubtedly connect the mosquito with their so-called ‘Insect Literature’ senior!

Senior promised to rescue them after ten hours, and around ten hours later, this mosquito shows up and killed the mercenaries!

Put into context with the ‘Insect Literature’ senior’s alias, this does make one’s imagination run wild!

“Regardless of whether it is or not, let’s get out of here while we can!”

The quick-witted man with glasses immediately pushed the bearded man, helped him up, and quickly ran in the opposite direction of the rocks!

“Not a bad response…”

Jia Yan, who had been keeping an eye on these two while dealing with the mercenaries, saw all this.

The action he saw made him involuntarily praise them.

“Okay, those two are running away now.

It’s about time to settle the score for you crippling my father’s leg…”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes glinted ominously, as he fixed his gaze on the two remaining mercenaries.

He fluttered his wings, slowly picking up speed!

He was moving closer to the two mercenaries!

“Open fire, shoot his wings!” All of a sudden, Yu Long yelled out an order in English to his comrade while aiming his assault rifle at the fast-approaching Jia Yan and started firing!

True to his reputation for being a veteran warrior, he quickly identified a potential weakness in the giant mosquito and initiated an attack!

Invigorated by Yu Long’s order, the other white mercenary also unleashed a hail of gunfire at Jia Yan!

Indeed, Jia Yan’s wings were his weak point.

However, that was all in the past…

Dum dum dum!

A hail of bullets hit Jia Yan’s wings and body.
