Human vision is most blurred at twilight.

Many people suffer from temporary night blindness when they have not yet adjusted from the brightness of day to the dimness of night.

And it was precisely at this time that Jia Yan made his move.

He wasn’t sure whether the people of Wa Kingdom were affected by night blindness, but he knew the darkness served as his best cover.

Whoosh-whoosh-

The faint sound of wind gently passed by his ‘antennae ears’.

The foreign breeze didn’t sound particularly unusual.

Whoosh-whoosh-

Jia Yan continued to descend.

With his two-meter wingspan spread out and no light illuminating his path, his black figure merged so completely with the darkness, making him incredibly difficult to detect!

A mong the three mercenaries, two were tall white men, and the other one looked Eastern.

It seemed that the two white men were acting under the orders of the Eastern one.

“They won’t get far.

When we find them, make sure not to kill them outright.

I want to take my revenge personally!” The East Asian man wore a grim look on his face as he scanned the surroundings, instructing the two tall, white men.

“Alright, we’ll do as you say, boss!” The two white men looked at each other before responding with uncaring, cold smiles.

The East Asian man cast a glance at the pair.

He could see the icy coldness and a trace of murderous intent in the eyes of these former colleagues.

It wasn’t surprising.

He had used manipulation to control these two.

Even though he believed that, given the chance, these idle folks from F country, who were practically rusting away, would have gladly accepted his offer without any coercion, he detested feeling out of control.

So, he had drugged them all.

Fortunately, up until now, these people had been cooperative.

The question was whether these partners would turn against him after they had killed the Assassins in revenge for his uncle and cousin.

Those were worries for later!

The current situation was so volatile; he didn’t even know if they’d be able to get out of the Wa Kingdom.

Yes, this man was the leader of these mercenaries, and the one who had assaulted Father Jia, breaking his leg – Yu Long!

The body of a giant mosquito was slowly descending not far from these three men.

Having mastered flight, Jia Yan was no longer confined by the noise produced by the flapping wings.

He was now gliding with his wings motionless, silently flying downwards.

Whoosh!

The enormous figure gently grazed past the rock-filled beach.

“What is that?!” A white former mercenary seemed to have caught a glimpse of this scene out of the corner of his eye!

Before he could take a closer look, he saw the black object disappear behind a huge rock hundreds of meters away.

“What’s wrong?” Yu Long, whose face was almost 80% similar to Yu Yuan’s, asked, furrowing his brows.

“Nothing, probably just a seagull.” The white man appeared puzzled.

It was called a bird, but he rarely saw such a big seagull.

Yet, if not a bird, then what else could it be?

The flying creature seemed to be entirely black, blending perfectly into the darkness.

If his eyesight wasn’t so good, he might have missed it!

But, it was just a seagull, nothing to ponder about much.

The white man nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders, not paying any further attention to the flying creature hundreds of meters away.

If he had known that this flying creature was coming for them, he might not have disregarded it so easily!

Click.

The notebook bag hanging around his neck was gently put down.

Jia Yan placed the notebook computer that he had brought with him carefully down in a hidden spot among the rocks, a couple of hundred meters away from the battlefield.

After all, it wouldn’t do for his hard-earned computer to get damaged in the fight!

After having taken care of the notebook, the giant mosquito stood up.

His hexapod firmly gripped the ground, his entire body was sturdy and powerful, and the overlapping layers of ‘coagulate defense’ on the surface of his exoskeleton had grown far beyond their original 20 cm.

The inside of the coagulate even shone with a metallic luster…

Even Jia Yan’s entire body comprised metallic substances.

Several kilograms of metal exoskeleton had melted into his body, Jia Yan’s body could now be said to be half flesh, half metal.

As hard as iron!

Back when he was a 20-cm Big Mosquito, his ‘coagulate defense’ alone could block bullets!

And now, he can’t even fathom how strong his defense has become!

“Also, my strength.

I used my forelimb’s knife-shaped horn to break through the armor of a fighter plane.

Its power and sharpness already far exceed the limits of this level.

I can’t wait for an equal battle!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes are deep.

He slowly extends his head out from behind the rocks…

The situation is not as bad as he had imagined.

He told the two assassins before, if the Japanese government puts too much pressure, he would give up the rescue.

It sounds cruel, after all, these two assassins have helped him a lot.

But things can’t be calculated that way!

If it weren’t for Jia Yan hearing that these two assassins were targeted by these mercenaries to save their own families, he might not have helped them!

Because the help they provided before, to Jia Yan maybe a great deal, but to them, it was just a trade, and then donating the computer and metal exoskeleton was not a big deal to them.

Jia Yan understands this, so his initial promise was based on the premise that it would not endanger himself.

In this situation, if he fights, the chances of being exposed to humans are very high, it can even be said that he would definitely be exposed!

However, because these two are risking their lives to help their own Jia’s family, so Jia Yan does not care about exposure anymore!

After all, he was already exposed on Stay Bend Island!

Since he is already exposed, might as well expose completely!

As he walked slowly out of the rocks with his six long legs, he kept analysing for himself.

The current scene was not as exaggerated as he had thought!

He didn’t know if the reinforcements from the Japanese side hadn’t fully arrived yet, they were actually being suppressed by these mercenaries.

In this case, he thinks that even if he goes out, even if he is besieged, he has a great chance of escape!

“Excellent…since the chance is high, I will go out and use the infrared vision to find those two…”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes flashed with a deep glow as he activated his sense of touch to detect the concentration of carbon dioxide.

His eyes were looking at the world outside.

Soon, he ‘saw’ the heat sources of two humans within a few dozen meters, as well as the carbon dioxide they exhaled with their slight breaths!

“Haven’t I already found them?” Jia Yan muttered to himself, seeing that neither of them seemed to be seriously injured, and he felt a little more at ease.

“After this time, they may realize my identity.

Anyway, the favor would be returned, and we would no longer be in contact in the future.

But I will miss their help, a lot of things would become less convenient.”

He shook his head, no longer overthinking.

The matter at hand was the most important.

Whether it would be exposed in the future was a matter for later!

“For now…let’s battle!!!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes stared at the three former mercenaries who were searching around.

His wings flapped gently…

Whir, whir, whir…

“Did you hear any sound?”

The wing flapping sound from a hundred meters away, even if Jia Yan tried his best to lower the noise, was still detected by the three former mercenaries!

All three of them looked alert!

Huff!!

——

Just as they were staring in that direction, a huge flying creature with wings spread up to two meters took off towards the sky!

The light was too dim, so these three only saw a bird-like creature, flapping its wings and flying into the sky from the pile of rocks.

“It’s just a bird,” exhaled Yu Long.

Just as he let out a sigh of relief, one of his white companions suddenly yelled!

“Watch out!”

After that, all Yu Long felt was a fierce windblown onto his cheeks!
