“Where is my metal exoskeleton?”

Jia Yan looked around the cave interior with a touch of surprise.

This cave was no more than five meters deep and no more than one and a half meters high and wide, you could see the whole thing at a glance.

But he couldn’t see the metal exoskeleton anywhere.

The metal exoskeleton had completely disappeared!

Jia Yan was full of doubts!

“What happened?

I was in so much pain, my memory is a bit hazy.

Did I take it off and throw it off the cliff, or…”

He tried hard to remember.

During the critical moment of mutation, due to the stickiness of the Coagulate, Jia Yan could not remove the metal exoskeleton.

So out of no other choice, he swallowed the black liquid in the glass bottle again!

It’s actually easy to understand his thinking, the super-huge mutation reaction caused by the black liquid might have helped him, who was about to die.

It might even have burst the entire metal exoskeleton.

Now, he has indeed survived, and his body has grown to one meter in length, becoming a huge creature with a wingspan of about three meters!

If the metal exoskeleton was still there, it would have already strangled him.

But now he is not only alive, the metal exoskeleton is also not in the cave!

“Impossible, such a large piece of metal cannot simply disappear…

so there is only one explanation.”

Unbelievably, Jia Yan looked at his own sharp metallic legs.

“Did my body absorb the metal exoskeleton?

This…

this!”

Jia Yan mumbled to himself for a long time, his body standing in the cave, his mind in a mess, motionless for a long while.

Actually if you think about many things carefully, it makes sense.

Jia Yan realized, since his first mutation, his body grew mysteriously large.

However, in physics, an object can’t gain mass from nothing!

Since Jia Yan grew in size several times, then there must have been other objects providing him the source of matter.

As he thought carefully, he finally shook his head, remembering some details.

The first mutation took place in a train carriage.

He remembered that when the mutation was completed, the metal floor of the train seemed to have been slightly melted by something.

The garbage can too seemed slightly distorted.

At that time, he thought it was like that originally.

The second time was in a metal soda can.

He remembered that after the mutation was successful, the soda can was completely twisted, not tubular anymore, but twisted into a screw shape.

Although there were no gaps, there were obvious signs of corrosion…

After consuming the black liquid, there seemed to be changes in the liquid pool under Jia Yan, but at that time he thought it was due to the explosion in the workshop.

Then the few times he consumed the mysterious liquid, because there were too many stones on the ground, losing a few wouldn’t be noticeable.

However now, his mutation has led to his body growing to a length of one meter.

If this devouring and corrosive characteristic wasn’t noticed even now, it would be too obvious!

And it’s too thorough this time, actually directly devouring the entire metal exoskeleton!

“I didn’t notice this all this time!

Isn’t the law of conservation of energy the truth of the universe?

I thought that the growing body from mutation came out of thin air, I was totally wrong!”

Jia Yan, feeling his metallic body, finally understood.

“If it’s the corrosive characteristic that gave me the mutated body, then the substances that caused this corrosive effect, is the condensation fluid.

I always thought they were solely responsible for forming Coagulate, but before they formed the Coagulate, they play a role in corroding other substances, pulling them into the body, and becoming a raw material for mutation!”

Jia Yan felt that there was still something that didn’t make sense.

For example, how could the condensation fluid, by solely devouring rocks, metals and the like, increase the size of his flesh and blood body, and the newly added flesh did not seem to be made up of rocks or metals, there must be key points in between.

But Jia Yan didn’t need to understand these things, he was not a scientific researcher after all, he just needed to know why he mutated, and the general principle of mutation, that was enough!

Jia Yan looked at his body again.

The surface of his dark body still had a thick Coagulate defense.

These Coagulates were all pitch black and somewhat metallic.

This should be the effect of merging the metal exoskeleton!

“My previous defense was so much stronger compared to creatures of the same size, probably because I devoured a lot of metals and rocks.

And this time, the mutation completely devoured an entire metal exoskeleton, and that metal was the special steel material recently developed by the Stars and Stripes Country!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes lit up!

“So how strong is my defense and body strength now?

I can’t wait to find out!”

With a body length of one meter, Jia Yan no longer looked like a tiny creature.

Although compared to humans who are generally more than one and a half meters tall, it still seems a bit short, but when you count the feet, it definitely exceeds the length of a human.

Moreover, after a few movements, Jia Yan noticed that the weight of his metallic body probably reached that of a human child!

It was probably around thirty to forty kilograms!

Although this kind of weight would hinder his flight, after feeling his own power, Jia Yan thought that this weight was completely bearable!

As for the actual situation, why not give it a try!

He walked to the entrance of the cave.

At this time, Jia Yan was already quite massive, if he wasn’t careful, it would be difficult to turn around in this small cave.

He looked up at the round moon overhead, today seemed to be a good day, this ‘vampire’ could roam the sky under the cover of night!

Buzz!

–

Buzz!!——

The pair of wings on his back slowly began to flap.

Jia Yan found that when trying to take flight, if he did not exert some force, he was unable to increase his speed quickly.

However, he didn’t immediately push his wing flapping frequency to the limit, but slowly increased it bit by bit.

At thirty flaps per second, there was no sign of movement.

Still no movement at seventy flaps per second.

At 150 flaps per second, he started to feel a bit of lift!

Two hundred flaps per second…

Whoosh——

When his wing beats reached a frequency of two hundred flaps per second, Jia Yan’s six long legs finally left the ground!

Whoosh——

He slowly floated upwards, the scenery below gradually shrinking.

Hum-hum-hum!——

When the wing beats reached three hundred flaps per second, due to the size increase of the wings, the edges of the wings directly broke the sound barrier and reached the speed of sound!

“It seems a bit strenuous now!” Jia Yan’s compound eyes darkened.

“My wing flapping limit has slightly decreased compared to when I was smaller.

I can probably only reach about five hundred flaps per second.

But given the size of these wings, maintaining a frequency of five hundred flaps per second is quite terrifying!”

The principle of gaining some things and losing others was something Jia Yan understood clearly!

Since his body size had increased, it was likely that he had lost some of his flexibility.

After all, it’s unlikely for a body of this size to maintain the same level of agility.

Of course, even with a limit of five hundred flaps per second, Jia Yan could still manage quick stops and turns in the air.

It was just that compared to before, they weren’t as smooth and agile.

Jia Yan controlled the muscles controlling his wings in such a way that they twisted at a certain angle!

As his wings had grown larger, and the muscles controlling them had also mutated and strengthened, now gliding for Jia Yan was simply effortless and enjoyable!

Whoosh!!

Suddenly, the noisy frequencies of high-speed flapping disappeared, and Jia Yan’s massive figure was gliding rapidly through the air.

“Huh!

My gliding speed has improved!

And since my body has become heavier, its stability has been guaranteed.

Even under headwinds, I can still fly so steadily!”

Jia Yan discovered another advantage of his mutation.

The glide flying method is even more practical now!

The forest scenery below was quickly receding in the distance.

In his antennal auditory organs, all he could hear was the sound of the wind from high-speed flight!

Due to his enlarged body, his speed was even more terrifying than before.

Since he had no frame of reference, Jia Yan couldn’t tell how fast he was going!

Anyway, compared to his previous flying sensation, there was a fundamental difference now!

This giant and mysterious flying creature was leisurely exploring the skies.

But what he didn’t notice was that underneath the forest, three pairs of compound eyes, shimmering with red, were looking up at him from the ground, flickering slightly.

These were three huge creatures, that even when crawling on the ground, stood about two meters tall!

They also had six long legs, and these six legs were extremely sharp, obviously possessing great offensive power.

These three monsters, each sporting large bulging bellies, had their bodies mostly made up of their round stomachs.

Compared with Jia Yan, their size and weight were even more terrifying, perhaps weighing hundreds of kilograms or even a ton!

It would not be an exaggeration to call them behemoths!

The three creatures were walking in formation through the forest.

Just as Jia Yan flew overhead, the three monsters simultaneously looked up.

One of them, its eyes shining, prepared its mouthparts and was about to fire something skyward at the Big Mosquito!

Whoosh!!

But at that moment, Jia Yan was testing his speed!

Almost within a second, his speed suddenly increased a notch, quickly distancing himself from the forest area where the three monsters were.

The giant monster that was preparing to attack, its red eyes flickered slightly.

Then the red light gradually faded, and the object in its mouth retracted…

The three creatures continued to march forward in a column.

To be continued.
