Two pros from the Stars and Stripes Country appeared not far behind the men from the Wa Kingdom.

“You guys cross the stream first!”

Hamilton raised his ‘hand cannon’, a Dessert Eagle, pointing at Horiichi Shouichi and the Wa Kingdom woman named Murakami.

“Listen to them!” There was a hint of surprise in Horiichi Shouichi’s expression, but considering the distance, he turned to the woman next to him and spoke.

The two of them shot out rope devices from their hands.

The ropes affixed themselves to a huge stone on the opposite bank, and then retracted!

In an instant, with a ‘whoosh’, they crossed the river!

As for the male from the Wa Kingdom, he was left by the stream to potentially become a feast for some giant beast.

“Oh, James, they’re so cool.

Why did we have to jump?

Isn’t this so much better?”

Hamilton’s face turned the color of a pig’s liver.

He felt his thrilling leap to enter the Underground World was truly a stupid move.

“Let’s go, Hamilton.

Don’t let them get away.”

James didn’t bother arguing with Hamilton, and hurriedly followed the two from the Wa Kingdom.

They had been relying on the two from the Wa Kingdom to lead the way and didn’t want them to really run off.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to get their hands on the Deep Blue Crystal.

But it was almost time, they no longer needed the men from Wa Kingdom to lead the way.

Whether they let them go or kill them would depend on their mood!

Right when the two men from the Stars and Stripes Country were also crossing the stream using their devices, quickly catching up with the two from the Wa Kingdom…

“Ah!”

They suddenly heard a surprised scream from the Wa Kingdom woman who had arrived at the cave first!

“What’s going on?”

The two pros from the Stars and Stripes Country looked at each other.

Then, their expressions changed!

Because before their eyes, in the previously empty cave, suddenly emerged a swarm of Giant Silkworms that struck terror into their hearts!

Horiichi Shouichi and the woman called Kamimura instantly found themselves encircled!

“Retreat!” The two men from the Stars and Stripes Country quickly moved backwards.

But it was already too late to retreat.

With the stream in front of them, it was too late to use their rope devices to cross it.

They also found themselves caught in the encirclement of the Glires!

At the moment when the four of them were surrounded by the Army of Weasels, they didn’t have time to wonder why these Giant Silkworms had gathered in this cave.

They also wouldn’t know that within the cave, a deadly battle was unfolding!

“Great, they’ve all come here!”

Jia Yan, clad in his Metal Exoskeleton, was deep inside the cave, continually attacking the Giant Silkworms surrounding him!

He was swiftly dodging the silkworms’ potentially attacking tentacles and exposed wings!

Ram, ram, ram!

Kill, kill, kill!

Amidst the swarm of Giant Silkworms, Jia Yan continued to charge!

The sharp blade atop his Metal Exoskeleton’s head, was his strongest and most useful weapon!

As he was not yet proficient, the blades on his two front legs often didn’t hit the target when he attacked the silkworms!

Nevertheless, this was enough!

Surrounded by three to four hundred Giant Silkworms, Jia Yan displayed impressive aerial acrobatics learned from his flight training!

His small-scale darting and dodging were akin to the light manoeuvers of a bat, reaching a mind-boggling level of dexterity!

Jia Yan, being a flyer himself, was almost disoriented from flying because enemies were all around.

He was virtually in a state of weightlessness.

He only knew he had to keep flying and killing!

The blade was sharp!

As the blades on his front legs were stained with frog’s blood and had started to dry and stick to the blades after such a long flight, Jia Yan found that as long as he inflicted minor injuries on the Giant Silkworms with these two blades, they would quickly fall to the ground, completely losing their ability to fly!

“So, the toxicity of the giant frog’s blood is so powerful.

Then, I must take full advantage of it!”

Having discovered this, Jia Yan shifted his focus to the front pair of legs during his killing spree!

Hence, a series of jabbing, lifting, slicing, slashing, chopping, and other attack techniques using those front legs was implemented successfully!

“These attack methodologies are really useful.

I must remember this practical battle experience.

There are rare opportunities for group battle training like this!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes beamed brightly, knowing that there wouldn’t be many such opportunities in the future.

Countless glires hurtled towards him with the inertia of their charge, each impacting against his body!

Some even shot out their tail needles!

However, the tail needles did not have the penetrative force of the Purple Llanguage, so all of them failed against the tough exterior of Jia Yan’s Metal Exoskeleton!

At most, they’d produced a clear sharp ‘ding’ of metal upon impact!

“So awesome!

I could never kill so freely before!

This metal exoskeleton is the best idea I’ve ever had!”

Jia Yan feels exhilaratingly thrilled!

In this battle of advance and retreat, his maneuverability in flight keeps improving!

Moreover, the attack modes of the two blade-like forelimbs are being developed by him one by one, unknowingly becoming more proficient from their initial roughness!

The most convenient attack modes for the forelimbs’ blades are, of course, ‘thrusting’ and ‘stabbing’.

Thrusting, as the name implies, is all about engaging in close combat with the enemy or thrusting the blade into the enemy’s vitals when in close proximity!

This type of attack consumes a bit of strength, particularly against heavily armored enemies.

If his foreleg’s power isn’t sufficient, chances are he wouldn’t be able to penetrate the enemy’s defenses!

As for stabbing, it’s more energy-efficient and effective than thrusting.

However, it generally calls for leveraging the body’s momentum in-flight for a direct strike at the enemy’s vitals.

It’s not just that this type of attack is highly demanding in terms of body control, but it also only allows for a single strike.

Afterward, close combat would be inevitable if the enemy isn’t taken down in the process!

“Die, you!”

Jia Yan is aiming at a Super Giant Rove Beetle and heads straight for it with a fierce stab!

This Super Giant Rove Beetle, of a similar size to Jia Yan, commands a senior position among the Army of Weasels in the absence of the Purple Language.

Just like a few other Super Giant Rove Beetles, it usually refrains from active involvement in combat and stays on the sidelines to seemingly coordinate the various Giant Silkworms!

Jia Yan had set his sights on these Super Giant Rove Beetles for quite some time!

Now, having just repelled an ordinary weasel, he saw an unblocked pathway leading to the Super Giant Rove Beetle!

As such, he fiercely barges forward and fiercely stabs at this Super Giant Rove Beetle with his foreleg!

Clearly, it was unexpected for the Super Giant Rove Beetle that Jia Yan would abandon the numerous ordinary weasels around him and attack this Great General!

It desperately flutters its wings in an attempt to retreat!

But it’s too late!

Squirt!

Jia Yan’s right forelimb, sharp as a sniper’s bullet from a distance, penetrates the Super Giant Rove Beetle’s chest right in the center!

This Super Giant Rove Beetle flaps its wings frantically, bends its abdomen upwards in a futile attempt at survival, and directs its tail needle towards Jia Yan.

But the sharp blade plunged right into its chest is infused with the potent poison of the Giant Frog!

This poison mainly has a paralyzing effect on the enemy or prey’s nervous system, incapacitating them for a brief period.

So when this Super Giant Rove Beetle tries to raise half its abdomen, its strength soon depletes to the point of merely tapping its tail needle against Jia Yan’s metal exoskeleton when it tries to retaliate…

Squirt!

Jia Yan uses a pair of mid-legs to push away off this Super Giant Rove Beetle pierced on his foreleg!

His body has already suffered no less than ten attacks from the tail needles of other ordinary weasels!

Seeing their leader pierced by Jia Yan’s strike, these ordinary weasels launch suicidal attacks in a bid to save him!

But it’s all futile.

A weasel with its thorax run through has no chance of survival!

Buzz Buzz Buzz!

Jia Yan revs up his wings once again and plunges into a frenzied slaughter in the Army of Weasels, seemingly undeterred by the countless numbers!

“The blood of those Giant Frogs is indeed useful.

Although it’s not as effective as the vial of Chr-379 virus I have, there’s way more of it!

Furthermore, the virus only works on humans and has virtually no effect on other creatures.

I must collect more frog blood when I get back.”

The gunfire outside the cave is ceaseless!

Several human experts are close to losing their sanity.

This underground world is too perilous, it’s unbelievable that what seem to be Waist Bees could corner them into a predicament!

Though these bee-like creatures are gigantic one by one, they still don’t seem too threatening when compared to humans.

But bees, even those small ones in the outer world instill fear in people, let alone these Giant Silkworms in the underground world that are tens to hundreds of times larger.

These experts holding off the Waist Bees for so long is quite commendable!

“Conductor Yokota, I can’t hold on any longer.

You should leave.

I, Kamimura, am ready to sacrifice my life to fend off these monsters!”

The woman from the Wa Kingdom, Kamimura, who’s with Beast Yokota, has three bloody holes on her back caused by the weasels’ stabs, and a puncture wound on her arm that’s seeping blood.

Thankfully, these injuries were inflicted by a regular Giant Silkworm, meaning the poison isn’t too severe, which allows her to move around despite the pain!

“Sorry for the trouble, Kamimura!”

Without a second thought, Yokota promptly makes a dash for the inside of the cave!

Kamimura’s firearm is out of bullets, she reaches for her waist and pulls out…

A military dagger measuring forty centimeters in length!

“Kill!” She lets out a heroic female cry.

She then positions herself right behind Yokota, fending off the attacking Giant Silkworms while retreating!

Repeated stabs from tail needles hit her body: shoulder, abdomen, chest, and even her face takes a fatal blow!

Even so, she doesn’t scream out in pain.

“This woman from the Wa Kingdom is hell-bent.”

The two top players from the Stars and Stripes Country exchange astonished glances!

But now is not the time for admiration!

The two also seize this opportunity and, following the path the two cut through, rush into the cave!

To be continued.
