Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

126: Going live tomorrow, everyone must subscribe to the official version!!_1 126: Going live tomorrow, everyone must subscribe to the official version!!_1 I’ve been waiting for both the stars and the moon, and now it’s finally time to be promoted!

It’s been more than two months since this book was published on August 10th, and it’s been an exceptionally challenging journey to get here!

To be honest, I’m a bit excited and also a bit nervous about this step.

Up till now, this book has only been recommended on the website three times.

Essentially, it has grown to this point mostly through word-of-mouth among all of you.

Let me be frank with you, Giant Mosquito has only amassed over 5000 collections so far.

Do you know what that means?

Out of the numerous books on Starty, less than one percent with 5000 collections manage to be completed.

The rest are all aborted or left unfinished!

There is a burning fire in my heart!

It’s not anger at the website.

After all, Starty is a commercial company, and they naturally have their ways of determining whether a book has commercial value.

If they’ve determined that Giant Mosquito is not profitable and therefore not worth promoting, then it’s understandable.

But I don’t believe it!!

This book has received constant support and encouragement from you all since its conception.

The comment section is always lively.

Compared to other books with tens of thousands or even more collections, our Mosquito brothers and sisters demonstrate even greater unity and enthusiasm!

I will never forget ‘Tiger who eats pork’, who commented and donated the day after the book was published.

I’ll not forget ‘Laughed, wept, forgot’, who, in his eagerness to promote this book, spread comments all around only to get his account blocked by Starty.

I won’t forget ‘Better than wild,’ who volunteered to set up a reader group.

I also won’t forget ‘Heavenly Reward 233’, ‘Buried Love’, ‘Quiet丨’, ‘Arrakis’, ‘Do It For You’, ‘Graceful Fall’, and others who have donated again and again!!

In fact, I’m someone who tends to give up easily.

At my age, I’ve given up on many things in life.

However, when writing this book, you can all see my persistence.

Persisting in writing more than 6000 words each day.

In these two months, there’s never been a day I haven’t updated!

What is the main reason a person who tends to give up is able to persist until now?

I haven’t changed!

It happens every time typing hurts my tendon.

Or when I’ve spent much of the day chatting with a visiting relative.

Or when I’ve sat in the restroom for too long.

Or when the pet store dogs downstairs are too loud and I can’t sleep at night.

Or when I’ve received criticism from other authors.

Or when I’ve been ignored by the editors.

All these factors and more have disrupted my writing process and made me consider stopping the update.

But every time I open the book’s page and see everyone’s donations and comments, I regain enough strength to grit my teeth and keep writing!

Honestly, two months is not long, but it is not short either—it is one-sixth of a year or one-third of an academic term.

I’ve persevered through all this because of your help!

When writing a novel, persistence is actually the most crucial factor.

I understand this, so every time I’m feeling uninspired, I push myself to churn out word after word.

During those times, I browse through the comments, read everyone’s messages, and feel encouraged by their words.

Every donation, every recommendation vote I receive brings me joy.

This joy then counteracts the disappointment of not being recommended by the website, and I continue typing with fingers that ache.

In the beginning, when the book was just starting out, it showed a bit of promise.

I was updating fast, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

The first problem probably arose when I joined a group of authors.

Some authors in the group criticized Giant Mosquito, saying that my updates were too fast and that I was destined to fail!

Back then, Bu Yue didn’t believe it and even argued with the opposing party.

These authors update a chapter every day, only updating two chapters when they receive a good recommendation, and those are only small chapters of 2000 words each.

Some of them started writing before me, but up to now, they still haven’t hit 300,000 words…

To be blunt, even if they managed to garner ten or twenty thousand followers, I genuinely look down on such authors!

But they weren’t wrong!

Later on, due to Bu Yue updating at such a swift pace, the comparison was made with other books of the same word count.

The editors don’t care about your speed of updating.

If your book only came out a few days ago, they will still compare it with books of the same word count that have been recommended countless times on the website!

As a result, the performance of ‘Giant Mosquito’ was not outstanding and naturally, the subsequent recommendations disappeared…

Those authors once told me to slow down because it might present more opportunities for recommendations.

But after a long period of reflection, Bu Yue eventually decided against it.

Because Bu Yue didn’t want the brothers and sisters reading this book to feel uncomfortable!

Perhaps slower updates could lead to better recommendations and less exhaustion for myself.

But doing so would only disappoint the brothers and sisters who love this book, and it would disappoint Bu Yue as well!

Therefore, Bu Yue insists on updating 6000+ words every day, even on days without any website recommendations.

Actually, Bu Yue has a hope in his heart that after the book is released, everyone will subscribe to the official version and prove the editor, who didn’t believe in this book, wrong once and for all!

They don’t hold this book in high esteem or recognize its commercial value, but if the subscriptions shoot up, then it would definitely be a phenomenal counterattack!

It would surprise the editor and make their eyes pop!

But Bu Yue is also anxious about the launch; if the subscription rate is too low, then all hope would really be lost.

Bu Yue doesn’t know what else could inspire him to keep going!

Actually, the money from official subscriptions isn’t much.

Even if Bu Yue updates tens of thousands of words every day, it roughly equals to the price of two bottles of water or a pack of cheap cigarettes in a month.

Who can’t afford this small amount of money in today’s society?

The difference comes down to whether you care enough to do it…

If everyone could subscribe to the official version and support this book to surprise the editors, Bu Yue could sacrifice some sleep, go out less, eat fewer snacks, and cut down on hanging out with friends, all to keep up the pace with updates!

Really, if you guys like this book, it means you like Bu Yue.

As a person who isn’t good at expressing himself and is a bit introverted, Bu Yue has been called quirky by many relatives and friends.

But now, with so many friends showing their support, Bu Yue is extremely happy.

This book will continue to have rapid updates in the future!

However, the prerequisite is that Bu Yue has a reason to continue the fast updates—a reason good enough to convince himself, his family, and those who cast shadows on me.

Otherwise, even if Bu Yue is happy to do all this, it is foreseeable that the decrease in income, criticism from family members, and finger-pointing from others will eventually discourage Bu Yue and cause major problems in the writing, making it lose Bu Yue’s style.

So, in a sentence, please support Bu Yue!

Bu Yue is unlike other authors who use their family and illnesses as a reason because that is disrespectful towards his family.

If Bu Yue really wanted to use his family situation, it’s actually much more bitter and tougher than their so-called sick child, or getting themselves hospitalized.

But because of this, Bu Yue would never mention it because my family isn’t something to be capitalized on!

Asking for subscriptions and the like is merely my personal action.

When you guys support me, it’s because you like Bu Yue as a person, you like my works, not out of pity or charity!

Bu Yue dreams more about becoming friends with everyone, on an equal footing, rather than to beg pitifully like a beggar.

If that’s what it requires, I’d rather not write at all!

So, Bu Yue only has one thing to say, for those book lovers who support this book, please subscribe to the official version!

Perhaps, recharging Starty Coins may not be convenient, but I’d suggest you guys figuring it out, whether through online banking or Alipay, or even recharging subscriptions via cellphone, every avenue available can be used to recharge Starty Coins!

Thank you so much!!

Bu Yue makes a promise here, when the average subscription hits the target of 300, I’ll explode with four updates!

Reach 500, and from then on, there will be continuous daily updates of 10,000 words!

For every increase of 100 subscriptions thereafter, I’ll add another update, if it miraculously reaches 1000, I’ll explode with 10 more updates!!

I swear I’ll stick to my words!!

However, to reach such a subscription average, it requires the support of all readers!

This book has a niche audience, every single reader behind the screen is a critical pillar of support, meaning that every single one of you matters!

For those who read on a computer, you can recharge with methods like online banking and Alipay.

For those who read on your cellphones, whether you use the Starty app or QQ Reader, you should be able to conveniently use your mobile balance to support the official version.

It should be very simple.

In conclusion, what I really want to say is…This is a book Bu Yue sincerely wishes to write, so could you all please read the official version!

Thank you so much!!!

Also, there will be a five-chapter update explosion on the first day of the launch.

The first day’s subscriptions are essential, so please show your support!!
