This time, Jia Yan has truly made up his mind — he’s going to cross the ocean!

Moreover, he’s flying to the southern region of the Island of Wa!

Apart from the Ryukyu Islands and other Japanese islands, the nearest mainland of Wa is over a thousand kilometers away from Fujian Province!

This is nothing short of repeating last night’s long flight!

Moreover, it’s likely he won’t encounter any islands that would allow Jia Yan to access the internet during his journey, so he’s essentially flying blind.

Taking extra detours would waste a lot of stamina.

In the vast sea, this task is several times more difficult!

“In order to complete this nearly impossible task, I must be fully prepared.”

Jia Yan flies in the sky, continuously contemplating everything.

Those two assassins probably see Jia Yan as a human and have already taken a flight to the Wa Kingdom, hence their urgent call for help.

After all, if they had just wanted to inquire about Jia Yan’s family, a quick phone call should have sufficed!

Then they arranged a flight to the Wa Kingdom, calculating the time, they must have thought that when Jia Yan contacted them, he was already in Wa!

Of course, they could never have imagined that this “senior,” had spent ten hours flying all the way from the north of Huaxia to the south!

He flew for such a long time to the south just to see Father Jia once.

And now, starting from Fujian Province, Jia Yan still has to cross the ocean using his own wings to reach them!

The risk is enormous.

Of course, this shouldn’t be their most shocking discovery.

If these two knew Jia Yan’s true identity, the most shocking thing would be that Jia Yan is indeed a mosquito!

How could they have imagined that the being they kept calling “senior” is indeed a ‘bug’, a mosquito monster!

Crossing the ocean is indeed very dangerous, so dangerous that Jia Yan has no confidence.

But he believes that with his flying speed, plus his stamina and willpower, as long as he doesn’t encounter any storms, he should be able to reach there slowly!

After all, Wa is not far from Huaxia, and there are plenty of small islands along the way to rest on.

For this reason, Jia Yan even thought of a relatively correct route.

This route has many islands!

Starting from Fujian province, he would fly to the visible Bao Island, then from there, fly to the Ryukyu Islands, where many islands are visible, and then after that, flying northwards to the inland of Wa would be relatively simple.

This is Jia Yan’s basic plan.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

——

“Squeak!”

As Jia Yan flew over a small village, his compound eyes moved slightly.

There were some soft grunts of domestic pigs below.

Hearing these sounds, Jia Yan didn’t think much and immediately changed direction to head down!

Before long, the soft grunts of these pigs turned into squeals.

Despairing cries echoed all around!

Then, an incredibly large mosquito rose abruptly from the village, like a rocket launching into the sky!

Jia Yan had drunk a full belly of fresh blood.

Perhaps due to the mutation, the inherent ecological form of a mosquito, which can only suck one type of blood at a time, had been changed by Jia Yan!

This time he sucked the blood of five large domestic pigs, only then did he start to feel a bit satiated.

Normally, a mosquito sucking different types of blood could easily cause a rejection reaction, causing issues with their body.

In general, mosquitoes digest the previously ingested blood before they suck the blood of the next host.

Moreover, they do not have excretory organs.

Before feeding, they spit out a little of the remaining blood from their mouths!

However, Jia Yan had now broken the old ecological pattern of mosquitoes, not only does he digest food much faster, but his body no longer rejects different types of blood.

Even if the blood of different types coagulates in his abdomen, he can effectively absorb and convert it into nutrients!

This feeding was to ensure the necessary nutrients and energy!

The mysterious liquid initially remaining in his body after the mutation, had completely disappeared after last night’s two-thousand-kilometer journey.

Now, if he needs to fly another two thousand kilometers, whether his body could handle it is one thing, but just considering the energy and nutrients in his body, he’s already running out!

So when Jia Yan heard the sounds of the pigs, he immediately went down to ‘dine’ without any hesitation!

He didn’t target a single pig as the volume of blood it could offer would be insufficient to satisfy his current size.

So Jia Yan sucked from five pigs, with his sharp proboscis, he penetrated the pigs’ bodies and immediately started extracting the blood, they didn’t have the slightest chance to resist!

Immediately, the piercing screams of five pigs sounded!

Luckily, Jia Yan was fast enough, disappearing before humans could respond to the noise!

It seemed like he hadn’t been noticed!

“Good!

Having replenished my food and nutrients, I’ll continue flying towards the seaside!

The second long journey is about to start!”

As Jia Yan flapped his wings, after his experience of long flight last night, he felt a lot more at ease.

Through exercise and contemplation, his feeling of flying was different!

Now when Jia Yan extended his wings, there was a natural feeling in the midst of it all!

After soaring to a height of over two hundred meters, he randomly twisted his wings at an angle, and his body transformed into a very expressive pose, spinning a few beautiful tricks in the sky!

Thud!

Then, with a fierce flap of his wings, he broke through the air and dashed forward!

Flying as he wished, Jia Yan’s flying ability had reached this level!

Zip!

Zip!

Zip!

Jia Yan’s current flight seems effortless, though he still exerts power, and the sour ache of exertion still persists.

But the overall feeling is different, and Jia Yan himself can sense this distinction.

In the past, he flew with all his might, just for the sake of flying!

Now, he has mastered various subtle flying techniques, completely transcending his initial state.

This, in his view, is what it truly means to fly!

Gradually, Jia Yan flies higher and higher!

With a body length of one meter and wingspan of about two meters, only large birds could possibly have these proportions.

During the day, who knows how many people can see Jia Yan from the ground.

Given this, Jia Yan is reluctant to fly too low.

He could easily become a subject studied through peoples’ binoculars!

If he attracts attention from military aircraft, he could be in big trouble!

Furthermore, testing his ability to fly high may be advantageous for his ambitious plan to fly across the ocean!

Thus, he continues to rise in altitude!

Due to the warm southern weather, the high altitude doesn’t feel too cold.

He ascends to approximately three hundred meters.

“This is acceptable.

There hasn’t been much change in the oxygen content of the air at this height!” Jia Yan makes a small comparison, feeling that there’s the possibility to rise even further!

And so, he continues to ascend!

Four hundred meters!

Five hundred meters!

Six hundred meters!

The scenery below diminishes, buildings become mere dots, and trees are as small as grass.

Roads reach out to the horizon.

One thousand meters!!

High!

Extremely high!

All the scenery on the ground has changed, everything appearing toy-like – even forests and large mountains have been reduced to tiny objects!

In contrast, those on the ground have difficulty clearly seeing Jia Yan.

Trusting the safety of this height isn’t reliable – it’s just that this is the highest he can manage for now.

Any higher, and all ambition would be in vain!

At an altitude of one thousand meters, the oxygen content in the air is reduced by 10%!

The temperature has also rapidly dropped around six degrees!

He’s able to withstand the cold, but Jia Yan realizes that no matter how quickly he breathes, the sense of oxygen deficiency doesn’t ease up at all.

He continues to breathe!

The evolved ‘breathing muscles’ and the correspondingly evolved rough respiratory system seem a little overloaded at this point.

But Jia Yan persists at this height!

If he can’t endure one thousand meters, how will he conquer the higher altitudes of two or three thousand meters in the future?

So, he’s striving to exercise his respiratory capabilities!

Moreover, he’s considering whether he can reduce his body’s dependence on oxygen through further evolution in the future?

Of course, these are all things for the future.

Right now, soaring in this high altitude, he experiences an extraordinary view.

It’s a vast flat landscape.

A curve appears on the horizon, demonstrating the Earth’s roundness.

Of course, it’s not a significant curve, as one thousand meters still isn’t high enough.

The view from one thousand meters high, however, is completely different from the ground!

The vast and beautiful scenery is refreshing.

Anyone who suddenly comes across this kind of view would undoubtedly experience awe and a shift in mood.

Of course, those afraid of heights better not look.

Just glancing downward from a thousand meters could induce dizziness.

Obviously, Jia Yan won’t get dizzy.

At this moment, he’s vigorously flapping his wings and observing the scenery in front of him!

“Fly westward!”

The rising sun is behind him.

Comparing it to his direction, he knows where the west lies.

With this, he immediately flaps his wings and heads for the opposite side of the sunrise!

During the daytime, he can rely on closely monitoring the sun and following his intuition to generally avoid mistakes!

After about an hour of hard flying, vast mountains, forests, and cities pass under Jia Yan!

Eventually, a stretch of deep blue water appears within Jia Yan’s sightline!

“The sea!”

Jia Yan’s eyes slightly tighten.

He has finally reached the seashore.

In just one hour, he has traversed an entire province to reach the coastline!

“Yu Long, wait for me!

You dare break my father’s legs, I’m heading to the Wa Kingdom for you right now!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes flicker with a cold light, then his flying speed suddenly accelerates!

Meanwhile, in the Lands of Wa.

Here is a rocky beach where variously shaped black rocks can be seen everywhere.

This beach doesn’t hold much touristic merit, and so is deserted.

However, at this moment, two blood-soaked men are curled up under a large rock on the beach, panting heavily.

Waves steadily lap against the rocks on the shore, soaking the lower bodies of the two men.

However, they carry on as if oblivious, lying there as if on the verge of death!

However, these two aren’t actually about to die.

The current desperate situation would still take a bit more to completely overcome them…
