Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4248  Eventual Doom?

Usually, a user of the Solar Apocalypse Physique would more or less self-destruct before they could make it to the Empyrean Stage, so it wasnʼt a problem most of the time, but this kid, Lucian Davis, possessed too many resources from the virtue of having loving and wealthy parents as well as was talented enough to control the physique.

Fairy Runalise could definitely see him making it to the Empyrean Stage easily before he turned thirty years old.

She took a deep breath to calm herself down and glanced towards the side.

Threelotus also turned to look at her and smiled sweetly.

Fairy Runalise returned her gaze, knowing it wouldnʼt be possible to take out Lucian in one move. The urge wasnʼt high either, considering he actually managed to control it instead of losing control and was currently perfecting it.

Lucian shot forward again, his fists blazing with golden apocalyptic flames. Every strike carried the force of a glorious eruption, each blow capable of vaporizing mountains, yet Davis weaved through them with impeccable ease.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!~*

Fists clashed against the empty air, sending shockwaves rippling through the battle arena. Davis sidestepped, deflected, and countered with precise movements, making it seem like he was dancing through battle rather than fighting seriously.

Lucian gritted his teeth. His entire body was drenched in sweat, but he wasnʼt exhausted. Endless power filled him, making him feel invincible, yet he couldnʼt do anything to his father.

Even after fighting for so long, his father didnʼt seem the least bit exhausted either, making him believe that his father didnʼt use an iota of his full prowess.

It was already night.

The Blood Moon was about to form.

It was the time when the Lunar Reverence hid, allowing the Solar Reverence to reign supreme. Although the sun was no longer up, it was not the case. During the Lunar Eclipse, the Solar Reverenceʼs rays are deflected by the Lunar Reverence, causing the Lunar Reverence to act as the Solar Reverence.

The moonlight wasnʼt something that was produced by the sun reflecting the moon. It was the light the Lunar Reverence gave off. Hence, this time around, with the Lunar Reverence choosing to hide and deflect the Solar Reverenceʼs rays onto all the realms of the universe, the Lunar Reverence was eclipsed by the Solar Reverence.

What was shining down was moonlight filled with the rays of the sun. It was as though the Lunar Reverence couldnʼt withstand the romantic stare of the Solar Reverence and chose to deflect it onto the realm!

*Bzzzz!~*

Lucian felt himself be even more invincible. The energy that he could bring out seemed to nearly double, allowing him to use much more crazy techniques, but he didnʼt know such things. However, each punch seemed to carry an immense weight, causing Davisʼs brows to widen in surprise.

Although Davis couldnʼt sense an increase in prowess, it was like the energy in each punch was doubled and difficult to deflect.

Still, he found it easy to counter since his prowess was extremely high.

Lucianʼs battle spirit soared. His speed and energy nearly doubled.

ʼI wonʼt let him keep countering me…!ʼ

Lucian felt like he hadnʼt gotten one proper hit from the time he landed a punch on that cheek. He was embarrassed and furious. His father was toying with him.

With a fierce roar, golden flames exploded from Lucianʼs back, propelling him forward with blinding speed.

Davisʼs eyes flickered with amusement.

”Not bad.”

But just as Lucianʼs fist was about to connect—

*Pa!~*

Davis extended two fingers and casually caught his sonʼs wrist mid-swing.

Lucianʼs heart skipped a beat. He had put everything into this strike, even burning his blood essence slightly to accelerate his speed and power, yet his father stopped him effortlessly? Just how strong was he?

Davis leaned slightly forward, his deep, all-knowing gaze piercing into Lucianʼs determined eyes.

”Youʼre strong, my son, far stronger than I or your mother expected.”

Lucianʼs pupils trembled.

But before he could respond-

*Boom!~*

A palm struck his chest, sending him skidding across the arena floor.

Lucian coughed, but instead of rage, his face twisted in happiness.

ʼSo this is the difference… this is what true power feels like…!ʼ He thought, wanting to defeat his father one day.

That absolute sense of control and confidence without some help from some strange phenomenon— he wanted to attain such a level.

His golden flames surged wildly, his aura continuing to rise as though he was breaking past his own limits.

Seeing this, Davis nodded in approval. His sonʼs battle intent was truly blazing.

”Thatʼs enough.”

”Eh?”

Lucian blinked. His battle intent was soaring abruptly, and he paused as though it encountered a bottleneck when he heard that the battle was over.

”You have managed to control the full force of your physique during the Lunar Eclipse in a matter of eight hours. Thatʼs excellent. The next thing you should do is remember this feeling and deeply engrave it so you can quickly control it instead of going berserk for an entire minute the next time. It will also help you with the occasional flares. Start meditating-”

”But-”

”No buts.”

Davis raised his voice to a pitch higher, causing the glowing Lucian to deflate.

”Okay…”

He pouted and sat down on the spot, starting to meditate.

Niera descended and jumped into Davisʼs embrace, feeling so happy, before she walked over to her son and checked him with her soul sense. Fortunately, there was nothing to worry about since Lucian seemed to have it under control.

It was obvious if they had watched the whole fight, but controlling berserk energy during battle state and while meditating was different.

Lucian wasnʼt releasing any power right now, so the urge to unleash it should be high and corrupt him. However, he seemed to be holding it well.

Davis got back to the others and waved.

”Lucian has successfully controlled his Solar Apocalypse Physique. There no longer should be a problem if he wants a partner in a few years.”

”You-” Niera shot a glare at Davis.

”Oh, canʼt bear to let your son go?” Davis raised his brows in response.

It caused the others to laugh as they saw Niera turn speechless. She pouted at him before turning around and ignoring him.

”Itʼs only a matter of time before my grandson manages to surpass you.” Logan looked smug, ”Then youʼll know what your father feels like.”

”Haha, both of you can keep dreaming.” Davisʼs expression was full of amusement as he pointed at them.

He took a step forward and moved up to Fairy Runalise, his smile leaving.

”Fortunately, you were not foolish enough to make a move.”

Fairy Runalise frowned, ”He is too dangerous.”

”But he still isnʼt able to beat me. Why are you bothered?” Davis shrugged, ”You stay away from my family. I am aware I am making a foolish decision by having you in our mini-realm. Donʼt make me regret it.”

Fairy Runalise went silent as she glared at him.

She didnʼt like that tone for some reason, making her bosoms heave.

”You all are stupid. Youʼre just making that child die sooner.”

”…?” Davis frowned, ”What do you mean?”

Fairy Runalise turned to look away. She was about to leave, not wanting to share any information, but she didnʼt feel it was right.

ʼEven if I hate these people, I canʼt let the innocents suffer from the eventual doom of the Solar Apocalypse Physique…ʼ

She stopped herself from leaving and turned to look at him.

”You may not know this because itʼs very obscure, but the reason why the Solar Apocalypse Physique is considered the biggest threat is because forty billion years ago, there was a Divergent who grew to the Empyrean Stage in the Third Layer. Accurately, he entered the Level Three Empyrean Stage, and during the Lunar Eclipse, he managed to enter the next stage. His prowess was unknown, but being in that stage alone was enough to reign supreme. In that twelve-hour time frame, he managed to overcome his heavenly tribulation and wreaked havoc throughout this layer, eradicating the lifeforms in three Lower Realms and nine Minor Realms. It was one of the biggest tragedies known to mankind.”

”…”

Davisʼs brows creased, and his pupils were dilated. Did he just hear that the Solar Apocalypse Physique was capable of ignoring the layer limit?

He couldnʼt help but smile, ”I donʼt know about that Divergent, but my Lucian wonʼt do such a thing. As I said, heʼs the kindest of my sons.”

”That isnʼt the point. Once the Solar Apocalypse Physique reaches the next stage after the Empyrean Stage, it is over for him. At the end of the Lunar Eclipse, when the Solar Reverence no longer showers its blessing on him, and his body is still in the next stage momentarily, he will ultimately be crushed to death under the weight of the entire layer acting against him. That was what resulted in the death of a part of a strata, even bringing about the Desolate Age for a few hundred million years. The resulting explosion took out more lives than he killed.”

”…”

Davisʼs expression sank.

In other words, if Lucian grew to Level Three Empyrean Stage and went through the Lunar Eclipse, he would go out like the brightest shooting star, illuminating a part of the Third Layer brightly for a moment before fading out.

He thought that Fairy Runalise could be merely lying but he had Heart Intent active and found no lies.
