Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4156  Leaving The Vast Quake Mountains

Davis kept Lancelot inside his spatial ring. Armaments are capable of surviving in spatial rings.

For this reason, many scholars did not consider the spirit of armaments or artifacts to be true lives. They considered it a sentient manifestation of the item. Many other scholars disagreed, but it was unheard of for an armament spirit to turn into a lifeform or a separate race, so their voices were quickly shot down.

Davis felt it was more like artificial intelligence than a living soul. However, it wasnʼt artificial but natural. Otherwise, it wouldnʼt form on its own.

However, he understood a thumb rule for spirits of armaments.

Their manifestation was seen more in the middle of the cultivation stages.

It would be hard for them to manifest in the mortal stages, but in the latter half of the mortal stages and early half of the immortal stages, there was a fair possibility. However, after the Immortal Emperor Stage, it became more and more difficult for an armament spirit to manifest.

This had him thinking about Fallen Heaven. Now he understood why the World Master stripped its power by sealing it. She did it so that she could allow it to form a spirit.

Nonetheless, his Yama and Lancelot had already manifested, so the possibility that they would disappear after entering the Empyrean Grade was null. Of course, if the armament broke and shattered into pieces, the spirit would inevitably die.

Davis then left.

Sophie and Bylai waved him goodbye, but suddenly, they realized he had escaped from their grasp.

”Ah, that sweet-talker fooled us~” Sophie fumed.

Bylaiʼs lips curled, ”Forget it. Itʼs not like heʼs going to escape our grasp. He must have important things to take care of, so he would return sooner or later.”

”True.”

Sophie nodded. The two of them smiled knowingly.

They were aware he spent a lot of time with Tina and Dalila, so they would not be able to pin him down. They expected it, so they were not disappointed. Instead, they only wished to let him know that they were waiting before he could use his time with anyone else so the next time he returned, they could grab him without needing to explain.

”Alright, letʼs go. Aurelia should be waiting for you.” Bylai nudged Sophie.

”Yeah, I hope she doesnʼt hate me for taking care of her using my avatar all the time. Thankfully, Niera is taking good care of her in my stead.”

Sophie wryly smiled before she took a deep breath, ”It is my time to repay Niera.”

”Good. I gotta go see how Zestria is doing as well. Rumor has it that sheʼs one of the candidates who could inherit the Verdant Vale Lower Realmʼs Realm Core. The other two are said to be Fiora and Tina but Tina is the most likely candidate since she is capable of using as much as four Laws right now. She may be able to make the most out of the Realm Core.”

”Really? I think Zestria has more of a chance if thatʼs the case. After all, sheʼs not an Anarchic Divergent like Fiora but has been steadily comprehending Wind Laws to fuse with Fire Laws. Sheʼll fit well with the Verdant Vale Realm Core thatʼs said to be highly wind-attributed.”

”Yeah. I know Zestria is working hard. If it werenʼt for my love for constructs and your incessant pleading, I would be in closed doors too.”

”Iʼm sorry, but Iʼll ask for your help again, okay? Youʼll get more praise from Davis.”

Sophie giggled, causing Bylai to pout.

However, the two of them left quite happily as they chatted about the ongoing situation and their sisters.

Davis went out of the mini-realm after some time.

At the entrance, Stella briefed him as well.

It seems that the Mystic Diviner and the other sect members were still in the mountains, searching for the reason why the heaven and earth energy thinned out. After all, it could cause more instability in the region. This Vast Quake Mountain was already known for its unstable space, creating spacequakes every few months or years.

However, Stella managed to make a mini-realm within this instability, turning a single point of unstable space into a stable one.

It could be said that the place she took root would have its space strengthened. It was a natural effect of a Void Dust Tree. However, what she had done was a bit more complex. If she built a mini-realm in some space, it would naturally make the surrounding space much more stable.

Therefore, if that Mystic Diviner managed to appear within nine meters of the mini-realmʼs entrance point, he would be able to notice it rather easily. However, their realm was hidden behind a natural spatial formation that acted like a veil.

Unless they stumbled upon that area, it was difficult to find it.

Davis stood on the mountains. The air whizzed around him, and the space was fluctuating like it was distorted. No one would be able to see clearly here except for a spatial lifeform like the Void Dust Tree. She had a wide view of outside her mini-realm, allowing her to see where these people were.

It allowed her to monitor them without getting caught.

Davis wondered if he should interfere with their search but guessed he would only make it worse. Mingzhi was also of the same opinion. He left them to their devices and headed out along with Illumina.

He was going to visit the Whispering Wildlands Realm Master, but naturally, he didnʼt know where it was since the flying island was said to be invisible unless one could cross a certain mountain range, which was very difficult to cross unless one knew the correct path.

He could ask Dark Archbishop Cyprusio but didnʼt want to owe them again.

Right now, the Heavenly Blight Hall was willing to help him in whatever way he wanted. However, he didnʼt know what they would ask him later, so it was better to keep his actions to himself lest he become trapped in his own making.

After exiting the Vast Quake Mountain Range, the surroundings turned blue like a sea. No one came here since the sea magical beasts here were wild and ferocious. This was also one of the reasons why this region was isolated. The sea was a vast stretch and was probably more than twenty times the size of Fifty-Two Territories.

Regardless, Davis and Illumina crossed this sea using their flying ship and made it to the other side, heading to the central region. Their speed was extremely fast, practically warping through space as they were traversing on a Mid-Level Empyrean Grade Flying Ship belonging to a dead Heavenʼs Warrior from probably descended from the Upper Realms.
