Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4181  Investigating The Mini Realm

Fairy Runalise went around the city, wanting to find the slightest hint of darkness hiding in some corner. She felt as long as she could discover that strand of darkness, the entirety of the darkness would come unraveling.

She spent nearly half a day touring the entire city, meeting various people.

However, the more she looked around, the more her confidence withdrew as she felt scared. No one here seemed to have a bad opinion of the Divine Emperor of Death, and she couldnʼt find any darkness even with her Empyrean senses sweeping around.

How could anyone or anything hide from her?

There were no signs of devious or evil formations. There were only protective ones, but they were all basic.

Finally, she ended up in a temple where there were actually some people who had started praising the Divine Emperor of Death. They even had a statue for him, and hundreds of people were kneeling and praying to him at the same time.

”Blasphemy!”

She instantly felt offended, so she confronted the priest there.

”You- why did you create a religion based on an Anarchic Divergent!? It goes against the heaven!”

”Oh, good fairy, please calm down.” The priest raised his hands and took a few steps back.

”Your heavens did nothing for us when other people were going to slaughter my entire family. It was the Divine Emperor of Death who saved my family. I doubt he is even aware of it, but I will never forget his favor and will praise him until my death.”

”Youʼre a fool. I bet the Divine Emperor of Death commands you tribute him monthly- no daily.”

The priest appeared amused, ”Tribute? No, though we offer him our prayers and respect, I donʼt think I have done anything to offer a tribute. Iʼve never given him a single crystal. All donations that this temple receives are given to the orphanages set up by Fairy Shea. She rarely visits, but that isnʼt a problem as she has employed a ton of people. As for the tribute, the Divine Emperor of Death doesnʼt need it, as we all know heʼs rich beyond comparison. Everyone under him is too strong, after all.”

”You- do you not fear him?”

”Fear?” The priest couldnʼt help but laugh, ”Of course, we fear him, but only those who are thinking of harming him need to truly fear him.”

”…” Fairy Runalise couldnʼt help but go silent.

Everything she saw was directly opposite to what she thought. It didnʼt make sense.

”Fairy, you are strange.” The priest looked at her with an odd look, ”I havenʼt seen anyone speak badly about him after all he has given us. Are you a new cultivator from outside this sealed realm?”

”Yes, Iʼm a Heavenʼs Warrior!”

Fairy Runalise firmly and confidently said.

”…”

The priestʼs expression went stiff. Not many people were aware of what Heavenʼs Warrior was, but he was aware. He took two steps back before he turned around and left.

”What are you doing?”

”Reporting you to the authorities.”

The priest ran away.

Fairy Runalise gnashed her teeth. She was about to give chase for the insult. However, she stopped as Illumina and Lereza appeared and told the priest not to mind it like they always did.

They then turned to look at her, sneering with mocking expressions.

”…!”

Fairy Runalise felt her blood boil. Every time she reported that she was a Heavenʼs Warrior righteously, people either didnʼt know and ignored her, or they went stiff and ran away, wanting to find authorities to report her.

They were treating her like she was a criminal.

”Give it up. Youʼre simply wasting our time. Just leave.”

Lereza giggled before she yawned, appearing bored.

”I will exit soon, but not before Iʼm convinced.”

Fairy Runalise exited the temple. She suppressed the urge to smash the statue and flew into the skies. Then, she headed in another direction, where she sensed some Empyrean Beast undulations.

”What the fuck? A Heavenʼs Warrior?” King was dumbfounded as he saw the fairy in the skies.

Her undulations couldnʼt be any more clearer.

He was about to attack when Illumina and Lereza told him not to attack since she was like a guest but not.

King and the others were confused beyond comparison, but they still let her pass through their skies.

”Is it fine to let her collect all our information like this?”

Illumina asked Lereza, finally able to withstand this Heavenʼs Warrior roaming as she pleased.

Lereza answered, ”Master has done nothing and said nothing. Iʼm sure heʼs watching through Stella, so letʼs wait and see.”

Illumina could only nod.

Fairy Runalise nearly toured the entire mini-realm before she finally reached the exit. At that moment, Illumina and Lereza also appeared, and the latter waved goodbye to her.

”Good riddance. Just run to the Upper Realms and never come back.” Illumina sneered.

Fairy Runalise coldly glanced back before she headed out of the spatial vortex.

Once she was outside, she instantly prepared herself for some kind of killing formation to activate or sent entirely to a different type of space. However, what she reached was truly the Vast Quake Mountains.

”This is… Aha, I knew it. The mark I placed isnʼt there.”

She looked at the wall beside her and noticed.

”Thatʼs because we removed it.” Stella appeared at this moment.

”Void Dust Empress…”

Fairy Runalise narrowed her eyes at her. As long as she could kill this tree, she would be able to keep the Divine Emperor of Death and his family from running away. She knew karmic techniques, so it wouldnʼt be a problem to attack a fake body.

”Begone, Heavenʼs Warrior.” Illumina stepped out of the vortex, ”We have no place for you here.”

”Iʼm going to reveal everything.” Fairy Runalise turned around to leave.

”Go ahead. Youʼd only be proving that weʼre the righteous side and youʼre the cultist.”

Lereza stepped out and sneered.

Fairy Runalise didnʼt say anything and flew away with her fastest speed. Her spatial ring and life ring were returned almost empty except for her personal items and some healing pills, making her inwardly curse them. They were definitely bandits. Regardless, she didnʼt have anything important like a memento to begin with, so she didnʼt care.

It was just resources. Besides, she was going to sacrifice herself for the truth.

She flew but was still waiting for an attack to land on her. However, no matter how many seconds and minutes passed, nothing landed on her.

Could it be that she was really being released?

She clenched her fists, feeling even more enraged, ʼJust you wait, Divine Emperor of Death. Iʼll make you regret playing with me and letting me leave. Your arrogance will be your undoing.ʼ

She inwardly declared and sped up.

In half an hour, she eventually arrived at the Quake Fist Sect.
