Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4188  News From The Secret Realm

”The area around the secret realm you mentioned is indeed sealed since we expected you would be interested in heading inside. Iʼm not going to explain what kind of formations we have placed there, but so far, we have managed to capture a few dangerous elements only second to the Divergents you have and execute them.”

”Oh? You mean Passive Divergents?” Davis raised his brows.

”Yes.”

Even Passive Divergents were being hunted? He didnʼt think that was possible since it was very difficult to figure them out, and they may or may not lose their divergence after undergoing a tribulation.

The possibility that they could grow into a Divergent wasnʼt null, so he guessed the Heavenʼs Warriors considered them a significant threat as well.

”We also stopped all kinds of information from leaving the area, so nothing about the secret realm is known except that it is a shard world stemming from the Elemental Dimension. It is resource-rich, so supreme geniuses have a bountiful harvest, but the entry is not only restricted to supreme geniuses. Everyone who is a Sovereign or an immortal Emperor can enter and try their luck in finding treasures, but as usual, the way the world works is different as it is harder to retain the treasures after obtaining them.”

”True. At least, the Heavenʼs Warriors donʼt seem delusional in this part… but, to see supreme geniuses bullying those ordinary people and not taking action, the Heavenʼs Warriors are also complacent in this evil.” Davis commented.

Fairy Runalise seemed to ignore his words and continued. However, her expression turned solemn as she stopped and clenched her fists, unable to let that comment slide, ”We Heavenʼs Warriors have been given the authority to eliminate people and not be punished for it by the ruler of the galaxy, so in order for it not be misused, we must remain neutral in the various altercations between the people, whether it be a normal person or a supreme genius.”

”So you people never tried?” Davis raised his brows in doubt.

Fairy Runalise shook her head.

”In the past, we did intrude in fights, but each person has a different sense of justice, so it is easier for a Heavenʼs Warrior to make a mistake in dealing with the victim and the abuser. Therefore, the higher authorities decided not to interfere with such worldly affairs. We merely pulled ourselves back and chose to only do our duties, which is hunting Divergents and making sure this galaxy is not invaded by otherworldly beings.”

”Utmost, we can try to mediate without imposing our Will on others. We canʼt do anything else. We have been repeatedly warned from a young age not to intrude in worldly affairs, so you canʼt blame us for not upholding justice since justice varies from every factor involved, like time, place, culture, the law of the land, and many other factors. We canʼt arbitrarily enter an altercation and punish people to our liking. We could end up being wrong. That would invite various problems to our lives and the lives we changed. We would become sinners who donʼt deserve the love of the heavens.”

Fairy Runalise spoke passionately.

It made Davis nod a bit as he understood their reasoning, but the last part made him frown.

These Heavenʼs Warriors really were suckers for the heavens, making him inwardly fume. He always thought of them as a cult, but it seems like they were thinking a bit. Nonetheless, he didnʼt want to start a whole debate on it and gestured, ”What else should I know about the secret realm?”

”You donʼt need to know anything. Iʼm just talking to myself.”

Fairy Runalise grumbled ever so lightly, ”It is reported that two Divergents entered the Elemental Dimension in disguise.”

”…” Davis and Myria looked at each other.

”It was unknown how they entered, but one is said to use heavenly lightning and heavenly flames, and the other uses darkness energy. It is said that they have killed a few supreme geniuses, but we have suppressed the information from spreading since we want to hunt the Divine Emperor of Death. We expected him to come there if he was still in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm, but it seemed like we… were… wrong…!”

Fairy Runalise looked at him hatefully.

It was as though it was his fault for not falling into their obvious trap.

Davis was speechless, but he still looked at Myria. The latter also looked at him. It was just like they had thought.

Zenova Artoria did indeed leave for the secret realm. It was no wonder she didnʼt come back to the tribulation area they set up in the Goldlust Rat Minor Realm and try to enter the Empyrean Stage.

However, they didnʼt expect her to be so daring enough to head there. Now, they wondered how she would come out without getting captured once the secret realm started to disappear or they were done with it.

As for the other Divergent, they had no idea, so they couldnʼt help but ask Fairy Runalise.

”I have no idea. The information I have is two weeks old. During this time, they couldʼve been killed or are still on the run. I was hoping I could hunt a Divergent with Mystic Diviner Oscarʼs aid, but we ran into you, the true calamity. Nothing ever comes out good if people meet you. Iʼm barely alive since I have to suppress myself. What about Mystic Diviner Oscar? Is he still alive?”

”Mystic Diviner Oscar is still alive, thanks to you.”

Davis smiled gently.

Fairy Runalise merely nodded. She thought he was provoking her again with that vain sarcasm. However, she believed it was because of her that Mystic Diviner Oscar was left alive. If not, he would be dead and invite more suspicion, causing more people to come and investigate the Vast Quake Mountains.

But she didnʼt know that it was truly because of her. She was Davisʼs experiment, which emerged because he wanted to test the Heavenly Gambling Records that were in Mystic Diviner Oscarʼs possession.

No one knew of it. It was Mystic Diviner Oscarʼs secret. It was his trump card.

If Tia hadnʼt done a full search on his spatial ring, hoping to acquire more mystical arts, and noticed the peculiarity of the seemingly ordinary jade crystal that was actually indestructible, they might have just thrown it away, or it would be casually sitting in the Treasury for a long time.

”Thatʼs all.” Fairy Runalise took a breath and firmly said, ”If thereʼs nothing else, Iʼll leave. I will also keep an eye on you, and the next meeting will be in your mini-realm. It would be on my terms since I need to know what I saw wasnʼt just an illusion or even a complete setup since I canʼt exclude the possibility that they were all bought.”

Davis scoffed. He didnʼt think Heavenʼs Warriors had that kind of imagination in their brainwashed heads that could only think one way.

”They said you were a benevolent ruler, but I need to see for myself what kind of ruler you are, whether youʼre slowly fattening them up or being as good of a ruler as they say you are.”

”…” Davis raised his brows, ”Good ruler? Little fairy, Iʼve never shown my face there even though I wanted to because my children occasionally play there. However, it wouldnʼt be good if the people became afraid, would it? In this case, Iʼm just like Heavenʼs Warriors. I do not want to intrude on the lives of ordinary people. It is fine if my people look after them and feed them. I donʼt need to involve myself with them.”

”Donʼt you dare say youʼre the same as us.”

”Fine, fine. Iʼm better than Heavenʼs Warriors in that regard.”

”…!”

Fairy Runalise wanted to punch his face so much, but she turned around and left. She wasnʼt stopped.

On the other hand, Davis and Myria looked at each other. He raised his brows, sending a soul transmission.

”What do you think?”

”Unbelievable. She looks like she has no idea about how to expose us. She didnʼt even leave for the Upper Realms to get away from us and hunt other Divergents. Instead, she wants to check our behavior?”

Myria was full of disbelief. The coin flip actually worked? Even if it worked, its effects continue to last?

Otherwise, she really couldnʼt tell why Fairy Runalise would engage in a behavior unbefitting of a fearless or suicidal Heavenʼs Warrior.

”Speak, did you use Fallen Heaven?” She glared at him.

”Haha, nope.” Davis chuckled.

He turned around and flew away, causing Myria to chase him for answers.
