Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4225  The Children

After dual cultivating with Stella for over four days, he could finally leave.

He teleported himself to his seclusion chamber. He was able to travel great distances by opening a spatial tunnel, but in this space, he also reigned supreme, along with Stella, because he ate her golden fruit.

Therefore, he could simply teleport anywhere he wanted, and if he infused his soul sense within the space, he could spy on anyone or anywhere within the mini-realm. Evidently, Stella could always do this but with his soul sense, he could be much more undetectable.

After freshening up, taking a good bath, and sleeping for a solid hour, he went out to join his children.

He made his way to their time chamber.

It was a big chamber, but inside, space was expanded over a thousandfold using formations. There was also a temporal formation that sped time up to thirty times. Anyone who was an Immortal King or below could use this space.

Hence, the hallway before this was also established with a time chamber thatʼs two or three times faster. This is where Shea and other mothers who hadnʼt reached the Empyrean Stage in prowess waited for their children to come out so that they could feed and take care of them.

In other words, the big chamber was a giant playground but also a study-oriented space like a school, and the mothers waited outside the gates for lunch break or for the school to end. Of course, the children enrolled in this time chamber had already grown up, so they could eat by themselves or be fed by the teachers inside, like Ancestor Cornelia or his mother.

Therefore, the ones outside also didnʼt need to be so accommodating to the children.

Once Davis arrived, he saw Shea.

It seemed like she was always here, making him slap her ass, invoking a wonderful reaction from her.

He then engaged in a conversation with her as she said that the children would be outside in twenty minutes. Although they could see what was happening inside with a contraption made for that purpose, he couldnʼt go inside. Otherwise, the temporal formation would break without a failsafe, and even space might develop cracks a bit as it would be incapable of taking his powerful presence.

The same went for others.

However, with his spatial comprehension, Davis was confident that he could be a pillar for the space. Therefore, space wasnʼt a problem, but time certainly was.

Nonetheless, he didnʼt even notice the time passing by while talking with Shea when, abruptly, a few figures appeared out of the spatial vortex that was affixed to the door. The door wasnʼt to be opened, or the acceleration would stop at that time.

”Father!~”

Aurelia was the first one to notice while the others were busy talking amongst themselves. Her melodious voice resounded, startling the others. Before anyone could move, Aurelia rushed towards Davis and jumped towards him.

”Aurelia!”

Davis caught her and spun her around with incomparable joy. All the doubts he had vanished upon seeing his daughterʼs face, the daughter he had with Sophie. He brought her closer and embraced her, kissing her cheeks multiple times while Shea smiled in a silly manner.

”Father!~”

The others also shouted and surrounded him. The girls didnʼt bother with any gazes and jumped towards him, holding onto him. The boys looked a bit excited but looked like they were unable to do anything since their sisters had already taken over their father.

Davis held Aurelia in his arms and looked at the others.

Eterna, Celestia, Sheria, Azariel, Viridia, and Lucian. There were a few other kids, but they didnʼt enter his eyes at that moment. He looked at his children with an affection that couldnʼt be described and a proud gaze as he saw that their heights were now all more or less similar, around a hundred and twenty-five centimeters. He guessed their ages were also around eight, nine, or ten.

However, this didnʼt apply to Azariel, Viridia, and Lucian.

Azariel and Viridia were only a hundred and eighteen centimeters, and Lucian was around ninety-seven centimeters. Evidently, they were still around the ages of seven and five.

”Good children. Have you all been well and learning obediently?”

Davis asked as he looked around.

”We are!” Aurelia screamed delightedly.

Davisʼs smile deepened as he felt her excitement to the core. He looked at his children, their bright eyes filled with excitement and pride. He gently ruffled Aureliaʼs hair before setting her down, his gaze sweeping over the rest of them with an undeniable sense of pride.

”Very good.” He nodded. ”Then tell me, what have you all been learning?”

Eterna stepped forward first, her crimson eyes shimmering with confidence, ”Ancestor Cornelia has been teaching us about the part where we change to immortal energy circulation, and Diana has been teaching us battle tactics.”

Celestia nodded eagerly, ”And Grandmother taught us about soul cultivation! She said that our souls are already strong for our age!”

Davis chuckled, a wave of warmth spreading through him. ”Thatʼs because all of you are extraordinary.”

He reached out, gently pinching Celestiaʼs cheek, making her giggle. ”And Sheria?”

The little girlʼs golden hair swayed as she tilted her head with a sweet smile. ”Iʼve been practicing alchemy! Mother says I might even be able to refine a Sky Rank Pill soon!”

”Already?” Davis raised his brows in pleasant surprise as he turned to look at Shea.

Shea then nodded with a bright smile, causing Davis to caress Sheria.

”Thatʼs impressive. Your mother will be proud. Even I am proud.”

Sheria beamed, her crimson eyes filled with joy.

Azariel and Viridia, the more reserved ones, spoke next, their voices steady yet filled with excitement. ”Weʼve been training in swordsmanship,”

Viridia said, ”Mother Tanya said weʼre talented.”

”Excellent.” Davis nodded at the two of them, ”Bearing a sword is fine, but is that needed when you have deadly weapons behind you?”

”Ugh…”

Azariel looked at the deadly scythe-like blades on the tip of their spider bones before his lips curled, ”But the sword is so cool.”

He made a few slashes with his finger, and that alone caused a few beams of sword light to appear and sweep through the air, making Davis blink.

Were his children monsters?

He swore this pipsqueak hadnʼt even crossed the Fourth Stage, the Body Transformation Stage yet, just having started his cultivation. After all, cultivation was banned until they reached five years old.

”Understandable.” Davis could only say this with a wry smile.

Because they were too powerful and talented, their choices were endless. He hoped that they wouldnʼt make a mistake in their early years as that would delay their path.

Nonetheless, he turned to the smallest of the bunch, Lucian, who had been clutching the hem of Eternaʼs robe. ”And what about you, my little one?”

Lucian looked down. He had never really been able to meet his fatherʼs gaze as he felt it was too scary, but Davis understood why because Lucian was a kind child who was guilty of his own physique and was capable of harming other people and burdening others a lot.

He was an immortal child, so although he didnʼt train from the First Stage to the Ninth Stage, he was as strong as Azariel and Viridia at the moment. His Immortal Vessel slowly develops along with him, but the physique may rapidly boost his cultivation if it starts going out of control.

”I… I want to live like an ordinary man, live a normal life, get a wife, and start a family…”

”…”

Davis went speechless as he heard Lucianʼs answer.

The other children laughed, making Lucian blush heavily, but he clenched his teeth.

”You wouldnʼt understand what itʼs like to be burning every few days. Cultivation sucks! It hurts!”

Lucian yelled out. He was about to escape, but Davis caught him by his wrist and brought him into his embrace.

”There, there… Lucian. All is fine. Cultivation does indeed suck, but it is what saves us in the end, saves you.”

Davis caressed Lucianʼs head as he cried in his chest, ”I know youʼve been working hard and enduring the pain. Even the teachers and Mother Shea say youʼre all diligent children.”

He spread his arms wide, ”Come here, everyone. Donʼt make fun of your little brother. Heʼs an immortal kid but needs much more warmth as he feels left out.”

Sheria instantly responded to his words and hugged Lucian and him. Eterna, Celestia, Aurelia, Viridia, and finally, Azariel also enveloped him in a warm embrace.

Davis held them tightly, feeling their small forms against him, their giggles and cries filling the air.

For a moment, Davis forgot about everything—his responsibilities, the outside world, the battles he had fought and needed to fight. He repeatedly kissed their foreheads, and even Lucian looked to have warmed up to him at this moment.

Right now, he could feel he was just a father, surrounded by his beloved children.

And he felt that was enough.

”Alright, screw studies. Letʼs go play!”

”Yay!~”

With the children responding enthusiastically, Davis brought them away and took them outside to play with them.
