Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3396 Disclosing The Mission?

Half a day later, they both returned after feeling refreshed.

Clear of stray thoughts, Fiora was now able to make better progress in Space Laws and was further able to extricate herself from the Voidslime Realm Eaterʼs predatory trap.

Since it was just comprehending Laws, Davis allowed her to do so, but he strictly forbade her from cultivating anymore.

On the other hand, he talked to Zephya about her upcoming tribulation and said that he needed her, causing Zephya to be playful and seductive as she demanded that he embrace her like he embraced Fiora then. He slapped her on the butt a few times as punishment and made her agree to enter the Immortal Emperor Stage.

Eventually, when the others rose out of focus and learned about Fioraʼs pregnancy, they were shocked before congratulating Fiora with many wishes, embarrassing her as she told them about her fears, which they also assured her that Natalya would be the most happy as she had only wished happiness upon you.

However, Mingzhi went batshit crazy and slapped herself multiple times, causing Davis to stop her.

Mingzhi then apologized to Fiora, saying that she didnʼt notice such a thing was going on in Fioraʼs mind. She never knew despite possessing Heart Intent, as she really didnʼt have time to communicate with Fiora as she had been too busy with the intelligence network and the secret mission.

Otherwise, she knew Fiora wouldʼve confided in her. Mingzhi felt like a failure for not noticing her best friendʼs hardship. As a woman who came from Earth, she knew best how hormones, especially pregnancy hormones, could affect oneʼs thought process. Those were even capable of self-harm as it induces an exaggerated scare or hysteria about oneʼs own future.

But then, she soon began to diss her best friend, asking her what about the promise she made about getting pregnant after her elder sister, which made Fiora look at her like she was a meanie and then pride herself over how she got pregnant first and that Mingzhi was a loser.

Davis could only laugh at their sync.

They were truly best friends for them to be able to diss each other and not be offended. As far as he knew, women rarely or never shared such relationships.

But suddenly, Mingzhi turned to look at him and sighed.

”Iʼve been keeping this from you as well, but after this episode, I donʼt want to hide it anymore.”

”What? Youʼre also pregnant?”

Davis blinked, but Mingzhi wryly smiled, ”I wish…”

She then began explaining from the start what Tia and Natalya approached her to find Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries, the reason being for the survival of the group, as Tia apparently stated that she needed them while Natalya agreed because Ivy was her friend.

She told him how their sects were mostly destroyed and tracked them down to the Jadedrite Sword Mini Realm, finally managing to find Jade Aurora and the subsequent events.

”So youʼre saying that after finding Valley Master Jade Aurora, Natalya chose to listen to her plea of wanting to save Ivy Aries from the time prison through her own strength despite all that happened?”

”That would be the case. Using her soul body, Natalya is closely monitoring them and helping Jade Aurora become the Matriarch by raking in achievements in the mini realm by destroying the invading forces and allowing her to obtain the Matriarch position. Natalyaʼs not making many changes according to Tiaʼs wishes as she doesnʼt want to interfere much as an Anarchic Divergent, and theyʼre not in any danger, but Ivy Ariesʼs life is still in a precarious situation, and I know that you mean well to her because of your teacher Garvin, so before something happens, I decided to come clean…”

Mingzhi extended her tongue out as she raised her hands in surrender.

”…”

Davisʼs gaze strayed as he looked into the contracting horizon, appearing like he had a lot to contemplate.

He indeed did have a lot to contemplate as he didnʼt think Tia and Natalya had gone to search for Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries. He was also thinking of searching for them and entrusted the task to Mingzhi, but she never reported on it and appeared to have taken the secret mission instead.

Still, he didnʼt blame her as Tia and Natalya were doing what he wished to do.

The four souls that were annihilated by the divine punishment back then… he had already forgotten it.

In fact, he knew everyone had forgotten it. When he low-key hinted at it, they even asked if it were souls they encountered and not some strange phenomenon. Everything was muddled to the point where some remembered that it was a dangerous divine punishment while others thought of it to be a strange phenomenon.

However, one thing common was that they forgot about the soul that received the divine punishment and the words it relayed.

They even asked him why he decided to retreat from the secret realm, telling him that it was strange as they already knew the answer but couldnʼt remember it.

He told them not to bother about it anymore.

The only reason he still knew about the four souls was because he told Fallen Heaven to repeatedly explain the events that happened to him weekly, and Tiaʼs playful story helped him reconnect with the forgotten emotions. The karmic burden plaguing those four souls was too heavy that it made everyone forget about it as each second passed.

He doubted if even Myria remembered them right now.

Perhaps, if they break into the Immortal Emperor Stage, they would be able to recall better, but he guessed that he needed a prowess of at least the Empyrean Stage to be remembering karmically burdened matters like these.

Nonetheless, with Tia going after Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries, he could finally say that the other two souls that were unknown yet full of emotions for him were none other than Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries. Heck, judging by the words that the soul spoke to him, he recognized that it was Jade Aurora.

”Then weʼll send the Reaper Soul Legion to take down the Poison Haven and the Northern Sphere Bandits outside while trusting Natalya to take care of the matters inside and get this done soon. Those soul warriors of mine are probably thirsting for a battle ever since we came to this world…”

Davis chuckled lightly.

The Reaper Soul Legion could be used as his striking force, but due to the power difference, they remained protecting his home instead. He didnʼt want needless casualties, and protecting alone was more than enough, as he expected no less from them.

In fact, in the last two weeks, he noticed some of them even had romance budding. After all, the Reaper Soul Legion was made up of both sexes, so he did expect some of them to fall in love and even approved of it, although he acted like he didnʼt find out, as dealing with the boss was never a good matter for subordinates.

Heck, he guessed that his subordinates didnʼt go too far with romance as they were afraid that he might steal their women, considering his great status as a womanizer.

”Yeah,” Mingzhi smilingly nodded, ”Iʼve already started to clear the forces outside using mercenaries. But we encountered a slight problem while dealing with the Northern Sphere Bandits…”

”What is it?”

Mingzhi stared at him before she brought out an Imagery Stone.

The stone activated and projected the image of a wild black-robed woman with lush green hair. Her attire was that of a bandit woman, and she had a giant broadsword strapped on her back as she held the hilt.

There was a scar leading from the left side of her lips to her cheek, making her appear strangely attractive. She wore a black eye patch on her left eye, and her wicked smile looked menacing, as though she was going to rob the one she was facing of all wealth, which in this case would naturally be the one who took that image of her.

”Thereʼs a new Immortal Emperor who rose to power in the Northern Sphere Bandits a few years ago, and sheʼs none other than the woman you asked me to search for.”

”…”

Davis raised his hand and pinched his forehead as though suffering a headache.

Naturally, the woman he asked Mingzhi to look for using her intelligence network was none other than the triplet sister of Panqa and Lanqua, the one who got kidnapped back when they were young.

Therefore, this wild bandit woman who appeared to have lost one of her eyes and was wearing an eye patch was none other than the third sister of Panqa and Lanqua.
