Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3360 Towards The Dragon-Phoenix Alliance

Davis and four others traveled south on a luxurious Earth Dragon Clanʼs Battleship.

Naturally, they were accommodated in clean and shiny rooms filled with opulent pieces of furniture to satisfy the guestsʼ vanity.

Davis stayed with Isabella and Tanya, while Myria stayed together with Mu Bing in another room. He imagined that Myria was being considerate towards her disciple Mu Bing, although he heard Myria first treated Mu Bing as a maid.

He understood why as she was a distrustful person in the beginning, but even if she wasnʼt, he certainly wasnʼt going to say anything about it as most master-disciple relationships were in indeed for exchanging oneʼs servitude for masterʼs guidance and protection when a sect or a power wasnʼt involved.

After all, what did the disciple have to barter in order for them to court the masterʼs guidance? Most of them would be destitute if they didnʼt have a power to rely on.

Hence, he felt that it was a fair trade and wasnʼt shy of exchanging oneʼs own labor force to get what they wanted. He respected it, but the same couldnʼt be said about exchanging oneʼs intimacy whether they were a man or a woman. He looked down on them.

The only agreeable transaction to him when selling one intimacy is when it is exchanged for love and commitment. Anything else would receive his side-eye and prejudice unless he could understand why.

After all, to survive— was a good enough reason.

”Tanya, my dear. What would you be doing if I hadnʼt found out your feelings towards me and made a move on you?”

This made him ask Tanya, who suddenly stiffened as she didnʼt know why he would ask such a thing now.

”…”

She glanced at Isabella, wondering if something was going on, but then Isabella shrugged as well, causing her to look at him and bite her lips.

”Still… cultivating…”

”Thatʼs something everyone is going to do. I meant, what were you going to do with your life?”

”Probably… think about you until… I die someday…”

Tanya lowered her head, her cheeks turning red.

On the other hand, though, Davis didnʼt doubt if she was saying this to hear what he wanted to hear. He knew this kind of woman was foolish enough to do this, and thatʼs why he couldnʼt sometimes let his gaze stray from them.

They were so firm in their ideals that they would rather die than choose another path, making them respect them too much.

However, he had some guilty feelings towards her, causing him to stand up from his seat as he moved towards her and lifted her up, making her sit on him as he sat on her seat.

Tanya blinked.

He held her in a way that she felt like a baby, making her redden even more as she was supposed to show how awesome and dignified she was after entering the Immortal Emperor Stage, but a few things never changed, causing her to know she loved this man to death.

”Did you… really forgive me…?”

”…”

Davis narrowed his eyes, causing Tanyaʼs expression to take on a frown.

”Knowingly or unknowingly, I was harsh on you. If you still feel some cloudy emotions, feel free to beat me up. Seriously, I donʼt know another way to apologize-”

”How can I!?”

Tanya instantly sprung up as she held his cheek, startling Davis.

”You are my husband. You have the liberty to discipline me if I did something wrong, and I wonʼt say anything to that, but if youʼre going to apologize, please apologize when you did something wrong. When you were harsh to me, an enemy like the Accursed Warlock was hiding among us. Even if I have to give my life, I wouldʼve vanquished him for you if I could…”

”…”

Davisʼs gaze shook as he didnʼt expect her to confess this hardcore.

”There was nothing for me to forgive. Of course, I wonʼt deny that I was hurt and was in my feelings, but after having the time to calm down and looking at that situation numerous times, I knew that someone had to play the role of the villain to chase that accursed soul out. You never needed to apologize for it, my love~”

By the time she finished her speech, Tanyaʼs eyes were moist.

She looked at him with her sweet eyes as though not wanting him to feel bad about this matter rather than focus on her own feelings, moving Davis beyond compare.

Davis took a deep breath and smiled lightly.

”In that case, Iʼll take advantage of your pampering actions.”

He leaned and kissed her forehead softly, causing Tanya to close her eyes lightly as a drop of heartfelt tears flowed down her face. He wiped them with his finger and made her sit comfortably on him as he held her like she was his princess.

”Haha… I made things a bit awkward.”

Davis chuckled at Isabella, causing her to shake her head.

”No, witnessing things like this make me feel my choice to be with you could never be wrong.”

She smiled, ”On the other hand, Iʼm interested to know what kind of tribulation Tanya faced when entering the Immortal Emperor Stage.”

”Yeah, I was about to ask that too…”

Both Davis and Isabella looked towards Tanya, causing her to think for a moment.

”It as you two may have expected. I did indeed face a Heavenly Yin Tribulation that sought to destroy my soul after I received three heavenly lightning strikes. It was just a single strike but also extremely powerful as what the ninth strike would be, perhaps even more. It also had a strange effect where it tried to harm my womb as it failed to destroy my soul as a last resort, but I was able to defend against it as well.”

Her lips curled as she turned to look at Davis, ”It was extremely easier than I expected.”

ʼOf course, the third-tier karmic virtue I imbued in you all wouldnʼt go to waste…ʼ

Davis inwardly thought but didnʼt say anything.

Although the effects of this type of divergence were unknown, he didnʼt care if they could safely pass through their tribulations. Besides, even after imbuing so many Karmicgrace, he still possessed peak third-tier karmic virtue and karmic sin. It was unknown how much gap there was for him to get to the fourth tier.

Nonetheless, Tanya proceeded to explain more about what she faced during her tribulation in detail and continued to discuss the rules and regulations to impose on their family before they finally arrived at the Dragon-Phoenix Allianceʼs headquarters.

It took a few hours before they finally reached it.
