Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3365 Negotiating For The Luminous Genesis Orchid

”…”

No one knew how many seconds passed.

It was as though the hall was silent for an entire minute after the Divine Emperor of Death said such an absurd and disrespectful thing to Saint Alaric Valerian and Saintess Luciella Valerian.

However… they couldnʼt refute it.

If some light energy user who was also a young aspiring Saint said this to their face, they wouldʼve been thoroughly disciplined. However, not only was the other party an Anarchic Divergent, but they were also a publicly acknowledged user of life energy, and that had been clearly demonstrated before them that they could no longer possess any doubts over it.

Founder Rocksunder shook his head, unable to believe the intensity of that life energy, which made him feel like he was in the heavens already.

It had been extremely soothing to his health and soul, and even if someone tried to twist the truth, there was no way of denying it.

”Donʼt be so arrogant.”

Saint Alaric Valerian finally spoke as his tense muscles relaxed. He gestured with a complacent expression on his face.

”Just because you use life energy doesnʼt mean you have greater healing arts than mine…”

As he said, his light energy welled up like a tide outside as they spread across the entire region.

Davis narrowed his eyes as he could sense his light energy aura to make him feel calm. It certainly had an extreme healing property to it, vastly different from any light energy he had ever seen, even more than his own or Myriaʼs.

Certainly, he could understand why Alaric Valerian was called a Saint and was highly touted and respected by the prideful Dragon-Phoenix Alliance.

”Think what you like.” But he smiled, ”Iʼm not here to prove anything other than wanting to trade, so if you can get to that, I would be appreciative.”

His voice was demure, as though he didnʼt want to make Saint Alaric Valerian lose any more face, causing the latterʼs gaze to chill.

”Sure.”

Saint Alaric Valerian chuckled as he sat down, prompting his wife to also sit.

When they made themselves comfortable, it also made the others comfortable, and they returned to their positions.

On the other hand, Elder Earthsaber, Elder Whitejoy, and Elder Frostbite, who were in the corner, wondered why they were here when one of Davisʼs wives instilled fear upon everyone with her icy sword arts.

Her lock didnʼt even spare them, causing them to stay in their hands.

”Fairy Myria said that she wanted to purchase the Luminous Genesis Orchid, which is one of the most important resources we grow. Setting aside the whole topic of divergence, I was willing to sell if we could agree to a price and a condition.”

”What might that be?” Myria asked.

Davis saw that the trade had begun, so he kept quiet as it wasnʼt his place to negotiate for the resource anymore, especially when he had antagonized them already.

”The price could vary depending on your willingness, but the condition would be that you would give us an opportunity to meet Saintess Lunaria.”

”Thatʼs right.” Saintess Luciella Valerian echoed after her husband, ”Our words when we said we adore Saintess Lunaria was true. We have wished to meet ever since we heard of her appearance in the Divine Emperor of Deathʼs wedding, and now that I hear you are an in-name disciple, I can see that the chances that our request gets fulfilled are high.”

”But-”Saint Alaric Valerian interrupted his wife, ”Considering the disrespect before and the audacious attitude in front of us, I donʼt see the need to sell it to you or anyone else.”

It caused Saintess Luciella Valerian to look at him, her eyes seemingly pleading.

”But for my lovely wife, I can look past that.”

Saint Alaric Valerian sighed, ”Lucky for you, our desire to meet the legend of an era and our object of adoration for our predecessor is strong, so Iʼll let the Luminous Genesis Orchid go for fifty billion High-Level Immortal Crystals.”

”…”

Myria narrowed her eyes as she went silent.

Seeing her reaction, Saint Alaric Valerian looked as though he realized something, ”Oh, is the amount a problem? I can understand if thatʼs too high for young geniuses such as yourselves, as this is an amount that would even cause major powers to cry, but I wonʼt lie. This is the exact amount the last Luminous Genesis Orchid sold.”

”If you donʼt believe me, you can ask the Light Dragon Clanʼs Patriarch himself.”

”Yes, I confirm that we bought the Luminous Genesis Orchid for fifty billion High-Level Immortal Crystals last time. It was extremely beneficial for us to beget progenies as our clanʼs women find it difficult to conceive.”

The Light Dragon Clanʼs Patriarch spoke even before Myria asked, his face full of smiles, ”Due to Saint Alaric Valeriaʼs magnanimity, we were able to avoid decline and foster more progenies from our Immortal Emperors.”

”I donʼt doubt that. The Light Dragons have even less of a chance to reproduce than most Dragons.”

Myria nodded, ”However, I donʼt think I can agree to your terms.”

”…?”

Davis turned to look at Myria.

She knew he had hundreds of billions in High-Level Immortal Crystals, right? As soon as he heard this resource was only fifty billion High-Level Immortal Crystals, he was overjoyed as this still didnʼt put much of a hole in his wallet, so why did she not agree to their terms?

”Well, if itʼs the amount, you can always pay a percentage of it later.”

Saintess Luciella Valerian smiled lightly.

Anyone could see she was the most pious in wanting to see Saintess Lunaria, appearing to be full of longing. She wore her wants on her face and exuded it in her voice, appearing like a pampered yet mature princess.

”The amount is not a problem.” Myria shook her head.

”The problem is letting you two meet Saintess Lunaria, which honestly isnʼt something I want to do.”

”Are you not her in-name disciple? Or is there something else weʼre not aware of?”

Saintess Luciella Valerian appeared confused, her eyes shimmering with worry. It was like she was scared that this opportunity would leave her.

”I am, but I only borrowed her name to move around when, in fact, we acknowledged ourselves as rivals. I donʼt see why I have to be in her debt anymore to get this resource.”

”…”

For a few seconds, there was utter silence in the hall.

For some reason, their minds couldnʼt process what Myria just said.

The information she let out caused them to be thrown into hoops where they just canʼt connect this young genius with a celestial legend of yore, much less connect them as rivals.

”W-What did you say!?”

It seemed that someone finally managed to digest the words Myria said, causing Saintess Luciella Valerianʼs jaws to drop, except her veil hid everything, so they could only hear her dumbfounded voice seethed with all kinds of emotions.
