Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3390 The Otherʼs Predicament

”Whatʼs done is done…”

Jade Aurora wryly smiled as she turned to look at Natalya, ”So what are you here for?”

”To take you and Ivy away, of course.”

Natalya smiled, ”I have instructions to bring you and Ivy back, as you two are one of our rare allies.”

”What- why?” Jade Aurora couldnʼt understand, ”Wait- how is your husband? Is he safe? I heard that he was branded an Anarchic Divergent by the Fire Phoenix Clan. Thatʼs a lie, right…?”

”…”

Natalya blinked as she tilted her head, ”Is that the last thing you heard?”

”News rarely makes its way inside this mini realm…”

Jade Aurora said in a wry tone, but her expression was full of concern.

”I was on the lookout for news regarding your husband, but itʼs hard to come by as the mini-realm is practically blocked by the Poison Haven and Northern Sphere Bandits. Theyʼre even intercepting and blocking our communications, so there is not much we can do to seek outside help, much less care about the things that are going on outside…”

”Why were you on the lookout?”

Natalya blinked again, her expression appearing clueless.

”I…”

Jade Aurora suddenly felt like something caught her tongue.

”Does it… matter? I still have some debts I need to settle.”

She forced out a few words as though embarrassed by the debt, causing Natalya to nod.

”I see. Thatʼs respectable. Heʼs safe and also ridiculously powerful, so you have no need to worry.”

”Ah- thank the heavens.”

”But heʼs indeed an Anarchic Divergent though.”

”…”

Jade Auroraʼs smile froze as she heard Natalyaʼs instantaneous jab. She already knew Davis was a Divergent, as it was widespread even in the Grand Beginnings Continent, but never did she expect his status was that worse.

After all, Anarchic Divergents were said to be manifestations of calamities. Their existences were no different than evil reincarnated, so how could Davis be one of them!?

She inwardly screamed, not knowing why as she searched Natalyaʼs gaze for answers.

However, she didnʼt seem apologetic or neither awkward. In fact, there was pride in Natalyaʼs eyes, making her feel confused beyond compare.

Just what had happened in the First Haven World ever since she got trapped here…?

Natalya stared at Jade Aurora with a perceptive gaze, taking in and deciphering the emotions the other party displayed.

If Jade Aurora ever displayed a hint of disgust, then she didnʼt know how she would treat her anymore, but all she saw was a hint of despair. This made Natalya sigh inwardly as she knew what kind of emotions Jade Aurora was going through.

She initially didnʼt care much about Jade Aurora but cared about Ivy Aries, as the latter was her friend.

That was why she agreed to be here and also save Jade Aurora while she was at it.

She didnʼt know how important Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries were to them, but she intended to follow Tiaʼs commands all the way as she mightʼve received a revelation from her divinations, but now, it was personal.

”I donʼt blame you if you think my husband is evil, but if you want, you can see for yourself. Where is Ivy? Letʼs get her and leave this place.”

Natalya said with a smile as she patted Jade Auroraʼs shoulder.

From Evelynnʼs words, she knew Davis had seen Valley Master Jade Aurora naked and even spent time in the Alternating Time Flow Valley, and hence, there could be something going on between them. She didnʼt know, but if, even after hearing that Davis was an Anarchic Divergent, she didnʼt back off like she had touched trash, Making Natalya feel like she could give Jade Aurora a chance.

”Ca…”

”What?”

”I canʼt…” Upon being prompted, Jade Aurora no longer trembled and raised her head while gazing firmly, her lips pursing.

”If I leave, Ivy would die…”

”Sheʼs arrested and imprisoned as she killed one of the Emperor Sword Sectʼs Patriarch Candidate who demanded her hand in marriage.”

”Besides… I have earned the right to challenge the Young Mistress for the position of Matriarch due to my skillful comprehension of Time Laws. Consequently, Iʼm chosen to enter a special place within the Jade Lotus Valley. As long as I could obtain the ancestorsʼ approval, I might be able to overturn Ivyʼs execution…”

”Or I could just waltz in and take her back…”

Natalya offered with a solemn expression.

Her friend was in danger. She didnʼt think she should stand back and watch any longer.

”No…!”

Jade Aurora shook her head, ”Ivy is imprisoned in a Twin Sphere Timelock Formation. If anyone tries to enter it as they step into the outer layer, time slows down, and the time inside the inner layer will flow proportionately faster.”

”When you make it to the inner layer, Ivyʼs perception will be the same, but she will already be dead by that time as tens and thousands of years wouldʼve passed for her for every step you make in the outer layer as you close the distance, but your perception would be subjected to a fast temporal aura that will make you think youʼre walking a few thousand meters for tens and thousands of years, so someone has to deactivate the formation before entering the formation no matter what and the only person who can do that is the Matriarch. Otherwise, youʼll both suffer…”

”What kind of ridiculous formation is that…?”

Natalyaʼs expression twitched. She rarely heard anything this ridiculous when she could hear Davisʼs adventure all the time.

”Itʼs a natural oddity in this mini realm. The Jade Lotus Valley has taken advantage of it to understand it and place a formation on top of it, just like how they have a special place that is designed to choose its successors…”

ʼHad the Jade Lotus Valley have anything to do with Time Laws?ʼ

Natalya pulled her head back in confusion as she had always thought that Jade Lotus Valley specialized in Water Laws and Yin Laws.

”Please believe me.” Jade Aurora placed a hand on her bosom, ”The valley also doesnʼt want to execute Ivy as sheʼs a once-in-a-lifetime genius who gained the recognition of the Guardian Lotus, the Jade Pearl Ravenous Lotus that the valley worships. Theyʼre only doing this so that they could protect her from the Emperor Sword Sectʼs wrath…”

”…”

Natalya didnʼt know what decision to make.

It was obvious that Jade Aurora wanted to save Ivy and also obtain whatever inheritance the Jade Lotus Valley may have in store for her, but things here certainly werenʼt bright. The alliance that the Jade Lotus Valley and Emperor Sword Sect shared for hundreds and thousands of years was also in jeopardy due to Ivy Ariesʼs actions, so it was no wonder nothing unified here properly.
