New Age Of Summoners

In the open ground behind the Hazegroove squad building,

Edmond finished explaining and answering all the questions that Paulin and Ajax asked. Compared to Paulin, Ajax asked very few questions which made Edmond ask him whether he still had any more questions to ask.

”Actually, I have one,” Unexpected to Edmond’s expectations, Ajax replied to him as he continued, ”Actually, it’s a personal question.”

”Personal questions can wait. If you have any questions regarding the elemental spirits, you can ask them first,”

Edmond knew what Ajax wanted to ask. So, he stopped him from asking for it for a while.

”I don’t have any,”

Ajax shook his head as he now had some clarity about the contract time and to ask more questions, he had to experience something new about the elemental spirits and the elemental spirit world.

”What about you, Paulin?” Edmond looked at Paulin and asked whether he had any more doubts regarding the summoning and the elemental spirits.

”Currently, I don’t have any. I will ask you when I have any more doubts, Captain Edmond,” Paulin shook his head as he replied to Edmond.

”Okay,” Edmond nodded his head before looking at Ajax and continued, ”I know what you want to ask and the answer is ’Yes’.”

’Oh’

Ajax opened his mouth to ask something; however, he didn’t ask for some reason.

”As for more details, even Udo doesn’t know about it. So, you won’t get any more answers about it,” Edmond revealed a slight smile as he didn’t wait for Ajax to say something before continuing, ”As I said earlier, keep your trumps cards to yourselves and only reveal them only when you need them.”

”I understood, Captain Edmond,”

Both Paulin and Ajax nodded their heads at the same time understanding Edmond’s words and didn’t bother him by asking about his elemental spirits and other things related to it.

Among the youngsters in the Hazegrove mercenary squad, only Ajax and Paulin were able to find out that their Captain was an official summoner and after hearing the advice about the contract, they also concluded that their captain must have many elemental spirits.

However, all these were their assumptions and decided to wait until Edmond openly shows his elemental spirits.

”Good. Now, leave to your rooms and increase your cultivation as much as possible for the disciple selection,”

Edmond asked them to leave to their rooms and slapped Udo, making him wake up from his sleep.

”Let’s go and check the items from the guild master,”

Edmond said to Udo and Darbaudr before walking behind the young men.

”Captain Edmond, I want to go out as I need some materials from the market square,”

All of a sudden, Ajax stopped in his tracks and turned back to Edmond and informed him.

Since he had to travel at least 300 km to and fro, it was impossible for him to hide from Edmond and others. So, he decided to lie by saying that he would go to the mercenary guild’s market square to buy some items.

Moreover, he couldn’t say to Captain Edmond and others that he would be going to destroy the assassination circle of the assassin sect.

”Huh?”

Edmond raised his brows when he heard that and asked Ajax, ”Is it very important to go out at a time like this?”

Just an hour ago, there was an assassination attempt on Ajax. So, Edmond felt it was too risky to go out now. So, he asked Ajax regarding it.

”It is important. I just learned a new recipe that could help my elemental spirits to increase their cultivation. So….,”

”Okay then. Take Darbaudr along with you. Even if something happens, he will save you,” Before Ajax could finish his words, Edmond interrupted him as he suggested Ajax to take Darbaudr along with him.

”Sure, Captain Edmond,” Ajax nodded his head.

In the mission, there was no restriction of using Darbaudr. So, Ajax instantly agreed to it.

”Darbaudr, we will look after your items until you come back,” Edmond looked at Darbaudr and said to him about some items before leaving to his room along with Udo and Paulin.

”Let’s go, Darbaudr,”

Since he had many things to do now, Ajax didn’t waste any time as he ordered the barbarian to follow him. Soon, Ajax and Darbaudr rushed out of the squad residence building.

’Huh?’

However, after rushing some distance, Darbaudr raised his brows because they were moving in the path that would lead them out of the Goldcrest town.

Nevertheless, he didn’t ask Ajax anything as his only duty was to protect Ajax.

”We are going to take the revenge for the earlier incident,”

How could the change in barbarian’s expression was not noticed by Ajax? Moreover, he knew about Darbaudr very well. So, he slowly informed him about his next actions.

”Oh. Just say the name of the energy, master. I will try my best to test down the enemy,” Darbaudr said in a low yet powerful voice as he was still angry about the earlier assassination attempt.

”We are not that powerful yet to fight a head to head war with them. We are just going to destroy one of their main sources of income,” Ajax revealed a small smile as he shook his head before replying to Darbaurdr.

”Sigh”

Hearing those words, Darbaudr felt helpless as he clenched his fists while controlling his anger.

Before he was thrown into the Zrochester province, Darabaudr was just one step away from reaching the King realm; however, with the seals in his spirit consciousness, he was not able to use his full strength much less having hopes of reaching the King realm within a short time.

’I still have three more seals blocking me from using my full strength,’ Darbardr clenched his fists and sighed.

With Ajax’s help, two of the five seals have been unsealed and his cultivation had reached the level 1 of the elite general realm; however, with his many years of experience and unique skills related to space and other techniques, he was able to kill level 5 elite general realm cultivators.

But if they were attacked by peak elite general realm cultivators, even Darbaudr didn’t have confidence in defeating them. So, all he could do when they meet some peak elite general realm cultivators were to escape using his space-related skills.

”Darbaudr, I totally forget about the seals in your spirit consciousness. I will soon find a way to break another one of your seals,”

When he saw Darbaudr’s helplessness, Ajax consoled him by saying that he would help him with the seals.

Until now, Ajax was very busy with one thing after another and with that, he forgot about the seals in Darbaudr’s spirit consciousness. Nevertheless, he needed Darbaudr’s help if he decided to go against a top power like the assassin sect. So, he felt he needed to find a way to unseal his spirit consciousness.

’By the way, Captain Edmond was saying something regarding the items. What are they?’ Ajax felt a little curious as he asked the barbarian about what Edmond was talking about before they left the open ground.

’Oh. It was nothing. The guild master used the ’six vagrant cultivators’ title, to get some items from the top powers for not sending the reinforcements in a timely manner. In which, the guild master decided to give some items to us which might help us to reach peak elite general realm in the shortest time possible,’

Darbaudr didn’t hide anything from Ajax as he explained everything that happened in the past few days which made Ajax excited.

However, Darbaudr didn’t not any interest in the items that were available in the Zrochester province.

Moreover, his young master had items which were more valuable than some of the items in his own province. So, he didn’t even bother to check the items given by the guild master and decided to leave it to Captain Edmond.

”You are such a fool,” Ajax scolded Darbaudr for being careless regarding the items because no one knows what valuable items that the guild master had given them.

”Sorry master. I will be careful from now on,” Taking the scolding from Ajax, Darbaudr nodded his head and felt that his young master didn’t like to throw away an item even if it was less valuable.

”We don’t know what item we will need in the future. So, you have to be careful,” Ajax shook his head as continued to explain, ”Let’s take our case as an example.”

Soon, Ajax started an example and Darbaudr started listening to it while silently following behind Ajax.

”If we have a middle-grade upgrade stone and a success stone, we could upgrade the ’Seal breaking compass’. With that we can release another seal from your spirit consciousness,” Ajax stopped running and turned back to look at Darabudr before finishing his words.

”Sorry master. I used to aloof to these items from the past. So, I didn’t think much about it,” Darbaudr finally understood what Ajax was trying to say and apologized to Ajax.

”There is no need to apologize to me,” Ajax shook his head as he continued, ”To break the seals from your spirit consciousness, you also need to be focused with the items around you; otherwise it will take a long time if I am the only one search for items like that.”

Ajax just wanted Darbaudr to be conscious about the items around him.

”...”

Darbaudr nodded his head but didn’t say anything.

”Let’s fly from here,”

All of a sudden, Ajax revealed a slight smile on his face as he called out, ”Twilight, it’s time to destroy.”
