New Age Of Summoners

The mystery behind the undead assassin and those coffins was only known by the sect leaders of the Assassin sect.

That’s the reason even the third elder didn’t know about it. So, he asked the sect leader Gerg to talk about it.

”The greatest assassins of our assassin sect, when they reach the end of their life, they choose to contribute to the sect even after their death. So, with some secret technique, just before their death they chose to turn into an undead to help the sect in the time of need,” The sect elder had some good impression on the third elder and that’s why he took the third elder along with him and chose to explain about the undead assassin.

”...”

After learning the truth, the third elder became speechless and carefully looked at the coffins as he felt a light shiver run down in his spine.

’So, they are basically forced to turn into the undead?’ The third elder knew that no one really cares about the sect. So, when he heard the sect leader Gerg’s word, the third elder thought the complete opposite of what the sect leader had said.

Basically, no one in the entire sect turns into an undead for the sake of sect. So, the third elder looked at the sect leader Gerg with a horror look on his face.

’Maybe, they will turn me into an undead assassin too,’ Soon, the fear inside the third elder started growing just from thinking that he would turn into an undead assassin.

”Okay then. Let’s open,” Soon the sect leader Gerg chanted something in a low voice before asking the third elder to open the coffins.

’What should I do? If the sect leader uses his techniques on me, I don’t stand a chance to escape,’

However, the third elder was in his own thoughts as he was thinking of a way to escape from the clutches of the sect leader Gerg and the five old men.

”What are you thinking? Come and help me open this coffins,”

Seeing that the third elder was spacing out into the thin air, the sect leader Gerg shouted at him once again in a low yet powerful voice which made him come out of his thoughts.

”Huh? Yes...set leader Gerg,”

The third elder hurriedly rushed forward to open the coffins while clearing the sweat on his forehead.

’Stand’

Once they opened all the coffin doors, the sect leader Gerg said a single word and all the sleeping black-robed corpses stood up from.

All those 12 undead assassins were covered in the black robes from top to bottom. Not even an inch of skin could not be seen by the third elder or the sect leader Gerg.

”Third Elder, give me that scroll,”

As soon as they stood up, the sect leader Gerg asked a scroll from the third elder.

”Here,”

The third elder was still unable to calm down thinking about his future fate; however, he was paying more attention to the sect leader Gerg. So, as soon as the sect leader Gerg asked for the scroll, he hurriedly gave it to him without wasting a single second.

”Silently kill him. The sect’s fate lies with him,”

The sect leader Gerg didn’t speak much to those 12 undead assassins as he opened the scroll.

Inside the scroll, there was an image of Ajax that was hand-drawn. The sect leader Gerg showed Ajax’s image to each and every one of the 12 undead assassins.

”Complete the mission and you can rest for another decade without any disturbance,” After showing the image to the 12 undead assassins, the sect leader Gerg closed and ordered them to finish the mission as soon as possible.

’Nods’

All the 12 undead assassins nodded their heads before disappearing into the thin air right in front of the eyes of the sect leader Gerg and the third elder.

”Third Elder, in how many hours, do you think, they will finish the mission?” After the undead assassin disappeared from the dark room, the sect leader and the third elder walked out of the room while the sect leader Gerg asked the third elder.

”I think in one hour,” The third elder didn’t answer with complete honesty because he had never seen the power of an undead assassin; however, from the stories he heard they were very powerful. So, he gave a rough approximation of the completion time in killing Ajax.

”You think they are invincible? Haha,”

Hearing the third elder’s words, the sect leader Gerg laughed out loud as he continued, ”When they were alive their cultivation was around level 5 to level 8 of the elite general realm.”

The sect leader Gerg paused for a moment and noticed something in the third elder’s eyes which made him raise his brows.

”Then isn’t it overkill by sending the 12 undead assassins to kill an elite commander realm cultivator?” The third elder’s heart nearly came out of his mouth when he saw the frown on the sect leader Gerg’s face. So, he tried to divert the sect leader’s attention from him to the undead assassins.

”However, after turning into undead they gained to leave forever at a cost of reducing their cultivation to level 1 of the elite general realm. Moreover, by sleeping in the coffins for many years, their battle prowess must have become rusty,”

The third elder successfully diverted the sect leader Gerg as he started saying all the disadvantages of the undead assassins.

”Then why did you send them, sect leader Gerg?” the third elder asked with a frown because he didn’t see any use sending a level rusty undead assassins to a place where a level 5 elite general lives.

”But I can say one thing for sure. When it comes to stealth and speed, not even Edmond or Udo could beat them,” All of a sudden, the sect leader Gerg’s expression became happy by just thinking about the speed of the undead assassins.
