New Age Of Summoners

’System, show me the new mission,’

With a relaxed expression on his face, Ajax silently asked the system.

Beside him, Darbaudr also sat and kept an alert look on his face.

’How can I let this happen? If not for Necros’ sudden appearance, then I would have lost the meaning to my life,’

Darbaudr scolded himself because he swore to protect his master who gave him some meaning for him to live.

However, when his master was in danger, he was always away from him.

’From now on, I will not leave his side,’

So, he decided to stay alert and close to his master no matter what.

Staying with Edmond and Udo, Darbaudr learned many things regarding the top powers of the Zrochester province and concluded that it was just like his own province. Cruel.

Ajax shook his head when he saw how alert Darbaudr was; however, he didn’t say anything and allowed him to do what he liked.

Nevertheless, his focus was now on the holographic screen in front of him,

’Ding,

 Mission name:- Destroy the enemy.

 Mission type:- Series

Description:- The assassin sect keeps on sending their forces to kill the host. So, he must have to show what he is made up of and destroy the entire sect from the face of the Zrochester province.

Mission one:- Destroy 5-10 percent of the assassin sect’s assets.

Description:- Assassin sect has many resources like low-level spirit stone caves, alchemy stores, assassination circle, restaurants and other shops. As long as the host destroys 5 to 10 percent of the assassin sect’s assets, the next mission in this series mission will be unlocked.

Reward:- A single minor realm breakthrough.

Additional rewards:- Depending on the percent of the destruction, additional rewards will be awarded.

’Just like I expected,’

Ajax was not surprised by much with the system because he already guessed it was related to the assassin sect.

’Even though the reward is only a single minor realm, I will complete it,’

Since Ajax already wanted to start his destruction plan as soon as possible, he didn’t even bother to completely read the mission description as he decided to complete the mission.

’I will start with the assassination circle as it is just 100 kilometres away from here,’

Although there were some of the shops related to the assassin sect in the Goldcrest town, they were not worth much; however, assassination circle was an important asset to the assassin sect.

Assassination circle is the place similar to the mercenary guild; however, they will only accept the assassination missions.

Except for the main members of the top powers, they will assassinate anyone in the Zrocheester province as long as they pay sufficient spirit stones and it generates a great amount of income for the assassin sect.

So, Ajax chose it as his first target as it was worth something to the assassin sect.

’Once the meeting with Captain Edmond is over, I can excuse myself to go out,’

Ajax started planning on what reason he should use to go out.

’Uff..uff,’

While Ajax was seriously planning for his first mission in the series mission, Paulin rushed towards them while heavily breathing.

”Finally, I am here, Captain Edmond...uff...uff,”

As soon as he rushed near to them, Paulin looked at Edmond and replied with the same heavy breathing.

”Come here and take rest,” Edmond smiled a little before asking him to sit under the shade of the tree as he continued, ”Now, listen carefully.”

All of a sudden, Captain Edmond became serious as he continued, ”You two are the official summoners. The first and most important thing is that you have to hide it from everyone including me. Your every elemental spirit is a trump card for you.”

”Even though one can only form one official contract with an elemental spirit, you can form many unofficial contracts with the elemental spirit. So, I have one tip for you to get more unofficial elemental spirits,” Edmond stopped and checked Paulin’s and Ajax’s faces to see whether they were attentive or not.

However, after seeing their faces, he nodded his head and at the same time, a small smile replaced his serious expression.

Previously, Edmond had some doubt that Ajax was an official summoner; however, after seeing Necros, Edmond concluded that Ajax was an official summoner. So, he wanted to give some tips to both the young men in his mercenary squad.

As for why he concluded like that was, an official elemental spirit’s cultivation was much faster compared to an unofficial elemental spirit. So, after seeing Necros, whose cultivation had already reached the elemental general realm, he concluded Ajax as an official summoner.

”Captian Edmond, what is that tip?”

”Don’t kill us with this suspense,”

Edmond stopped right when the topic was getting interesting, which made both Ajax and Paulin curious and asked him to quickly say about that tip.

”Although it is late to advise that tip. You still have one more chance. So, it will help you somewhat,”

Edmond felt it was late because both of them must have already formed an official contract with two elemental spirits. Nevertheless, he said that the tip would be useful for them.

”Seal”

After finishing his words, Edmond looked at Udo and soon after Udo used some technique to seal their surroundings.

”Hear carefully, when you enter the elemental spirit world for your third elemental spirit, don’t form an official contract with the elemental spirit; instead convince the elemental spirit to form an unofficial contract,” Edmond nodded his head at Udo before revealing the tip he learned from his own experience.

”Huh? Why is that, Captain Edmond?”

Hearing Edmond’s words, Ajax immediately asked him because he could not think how it was going to benefit him.

Paulin also looked at Edmond and waited for an answer from him.

’Huh?’

Seeing the puzzled looks on Ajax and Paulin’s faces, a puzzled look appeared on Edmond’s face as he asked, ”You didn’t form an unofficial contract with any elemental spirit? No, you already formed back when you entered the ’Summoner king’s inheritance ground’.”

Edmond didn’t understand why the young men in front of him were unable to find any difference between official contract and unofficial contract with an elemental spirit.

Even though Ajax had many unofficial elemental spirits under him, Ajax didn’t find how it would benefit him in forming an unofficial contract compared to an official contract with an elemental spirit.

Nevertheless, he remained silent and waited for Edmond to explain the reason behind his tip in forming unofficial contracts over the official contracts with the elemental spirits.

’Moreover, according to me, forming an official contract with an elemental spirit is much easier compared to the unofficial contract with an elemental spirit,’

While waiting for the explanation from Edmond, Ajax silently thought in his head because most of the elemental spirits prefer to form an official contact.

Officially contracted elemental spirits could terminate their official contract with the summoner if they didn’t like the attitude of the summoner in the future with only a little backlash which could be recovered over time; however, unofficially contracted elemental spirits could only regret their bad selection of their master as only death could free their contract.

”Fine. Before I explained the reason behind my tip. I have a question for you both,” Edmond didn’t explain the reason; instead, he looked at their puzzled faces and decided to ask them a question.

”Sure. Ask it, captain Edmond,”

Paulin and Ajax nodded their heads because they already knew that Captain Edmond would not explain to them the reason behind the tip unless they answered his question. So, they hurriedly nodded their heads.

”How much time did you take to form an unofficial contract with your elemental spirits when you entered the elemental spirit world using the power of the summoner king,”

Edmond took a deep breath and asked them.

’Huh?’

When he heard that question, Ajax felt something was not right and waited for Paulin to answer Edmond’s question first.

”It took me one hour to form an unofficial contract with Glaicious,”

As for Paulin, he thought a little before answering Edmond’s question within no time.

”What? One hour?”

’What? One hour?’

Both Edmond and Ajax were shocked to hear Paulin’s answer and turned their heads to see Paulin’s face.
