I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 792, The Danger Has Truly Arrived

After Yan Hua and Sha Lan descended from the hot air balloon, their first objective was to rush towards the Yong’an Building.

*Step step step…*

They had been away from the Tribe for quite some time, so naturally their first priority was returning to the Yong’an Building.

“Shaman, we’re back.” Yan Hua called out happily.

She could not be bothered with tidying her clothes, much less taking time for a bath first.

“We’ve completed the mission perfectly.” Sha Lan also said joyfully.

Sha Lan’s tail swished continuously. Clearly, she was genuinely delighted.

“Great.” Su Bai smiled faintly.

He turned from the floor-to-ceiling window. His gaze had been fixed on the Tribe’s main gate.

He had witnessed the hot air balloon’s gradual descent, then watched the girls immediately rush towards the Yong’an Building. Even from this distance, he could see the smiles adorning their faces. They were infectious expressions that lifted one’s spirits.

“Shaman, the others went to freshen up first. They didn’t want to meet you looking dishevelled.” Yan Hua said with a grin.

“How was this mission? None of you were injured, I hope?” Su Bai asked.

His primary concern was whether they had sustained injuries. The mission was obviously done. Otherwise, they couldn’t possibly have returned now.

“We completed this mission exceptionally well. Though some were injured during the process, they were only minor wounds. We immediately treated them with Shaman Bone Tablets.” Sha Lan explained.

During the mission, they had encountered Ferocious Beast attacks on several occasions.

Ai’er’s wings had been slightly injured, preventing proper flight, resulting in scratches on her legs as well.

“You dealt with all the Tribes on your assigned list, right?” Su Bai confirmed again.

He wanted to verify once more whether those Tribes had been thoroughly eliminated, avoiding any potential complications.

“We eliminated them all completely. We didn’t spare any Tribe on the list.” Yan Hua said seriously.

Though Yan Hua found this rather brutal, these were the laws of survival.

If one showed mercy to their enemies, they would eventually viciously retaliate. Thoroughly annihilating enemies before they could counterattack was the correct approach.

“Did you encounter any incidents during the mission? Such as other Tribes, or wild beasts?” Su Bai continued questioning.

They had been away for over ten days. Something must have occurred during that time.

“We encountered numerous strange Ferocious Beasts.” Relying on her exceptional memory, Sha Lan condensed the events of recent days.

During this period, Sha Lans had encountered various wild beasts and Ferocious Beasts they had never seen before.

Some beasts were remarkably docile, while others immediately attacked upon sighting them, making Sha Lans reluctant to land.

Even during evening rest periods, they sought caves in cliff faces for shelter.

Along the route, they had also encountered many people from other Tribes. Naturally, they were heading towards other Tribes’ Markets. Or else wandering Tribeless people, forced to roam the forest without permanent settlement.

“This mission provided you with a ton of interesting experiences. But, when encountering danger next time, you must exercise caution.”

After hearing the entire account, Su Bai continued his admonishment. “Though you possess Shaman Bone Tablets to heal injuries, one must guard against the unexpected. What if the injuries were severe enough to cause immediate death?”

He did not want them believing his Shaman Bone Tablets were omnipotent. Excessive reliance on them would eventually prove fatal.

“We understand.” Yan Hua and Sha Lan nodded.

“Shaman, now that we’ve eliminated these Tribes, the Dark Scorpion Tribe can’t threaten our Tribe for a while, can they?” Sha Lan asked worriedly.

She remained somewhat concerned about the Dark Scorpion Tribe attacking the Flame Dragon Tribe, given their numerous subordinate Tribes.

Dealing with just these Small Tribes had consumed over ten days. These were merely the known Small Tribes. Those Medium Tribes or Larger Tribes were unknown to them. Who knew how many more awaited the Flame Dragon Tribe?

“We can only say we’ve eliminated some threats. This doesn’t mean we can completely relax.” Su Bai said gravely.

His understanding of the Dark Scorpion Tribe was limited. He only knew they controlled numerous subordinate Tribes.

Considering the Flame Dragon Tribe’s current development, confronting a single Tribe posed no problem.

But once all the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s subordinates assembled together, even with the Flame Dragon Tribe’s current capabilities, they might not be able to withstand them.

Su Bai clearly understood this point, which was why he absolutely had to secure time for the Flame Dragon Tribe.

The Tribe needed continued development until it could resist the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s current strength.

“Last time, those two people they sent received no communication back. Calculating the time, the Dark Scorpion Tribe should realize something happened to them, shouldn’t they?” Yan Hua asked.

“Indeed, those two originally came to investigate the Black Snake Tribe’s disappearance. The Dark Scorpion Tribe is likely already plotting something.” Sha Lan said gravely.

Sha Lans instantly felt extremely tense, sensing danger was imminent.

“Yes, that’s my concern as well, which is why I had you eliminate those Small Tribes first. Even if they dispatch people, no one would be able to support them.” Su Bai explained seriously.

He had considered this long ago. If the Dark Scorpion Tribe truly sent people to subjugate the Flame Dragon Tribe, surrounding Tribes would certainly serve as those forces’ reinforcements. Their backup had to be shattered beforehand.

“Shaman, but those are only the ones we know about. There are still many unknown ones that could potentially become their reinforcements.” Sha Lan immediately said.

“The mission we completed only eliminated some threats in advance. Many unknown enemies still remain.” Yan Hua sighed.

She suddenly felt danger closing in on the Flame Dragon Tribe, and anticipated increasingly difficult days ahead.

“I’m aware of this, which is why we must arrange patrol teams in advance.” Su Bai said gravely.

Calculating the timeline, if they truly dispatched people, they would be close to reaching the Flame Dragon Tribe by now. Even allowing for delays, six or seven days or at best, four or five days, the danger would still arrive.

“Shaman, what do you need us to do?” Yan Hua immediately straightened her posture.

“Yes, our Tribe absolutely cannot surrender to them. We must prepare in advance.” Sha Lan also became serious.

“Let me think…” Su Bai furrowed his brow.
