I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 747, If People Don’t Offend Me, I Won’t Offend Them

*Rustle rustle…* Yan Hua heard a faint sound, her red eyes immediately scanning the area.

She pulled Sha Lan down into a crouch, whispering, “It seems like someone is approaching. Let’s hide first.”

Sha Lan froze, not for any other reason but because she hadn’t sensed anything at all.

She kept blinking her blue eyes and asked, “Someone is approaching? From where?”

Sha Lan continuously scanned the surrounding environment, trying to catch where the disturbance was coming from.

“Yes, let’s hide first. I’m not entirely certain.” Yan Hua pressed her hand on Sha Lan’s head.

She wasn’t completely sure whether her senses were accurate. She just felt like someone really was approaching.

Those sounds were quite distinct, though she couldn’t determine whether it was people approaching or Ferocious Beasts.

“En!” Sha Lan nodded.

*Rustle rustle…*

The disturbance grew louder and more obvious. Not only Yan Hua, but even Sha Lan heard it this time.

Sha Lan and Yan Hua exchanged glances, nodded to each other, then began poking their heads out to observe.

She narrowed her eyes, looking into the distance, thinking, “Will it be people or Ferocious Beasts?”

The sounds that had been made weren’t very loud. If they were people, it would definitely be just one or two. If they were Ferocious Beasts, they wouldn’t be particularly large ones.

Yan Hua was also exceptionally solemn, her red eyes fixed on where the disturbance was coming from.

Neither of them dared even breathe heavily, afraid that whatever was making the noise would discover them.

Two figures slowly emerged from the bushes where the disturbance originated. Both looked furtive and sneaky.

Neither person was particularly tall, roughly 1.7 metres, and their attire was unlike anything Sha Lans had ever seen before.

They wore numerous bones around their necks and wrists, which produced rattling sounds as they walked.

These two suspicious individuals scanned the surroundings once, then immediately left. Everything happened in a flash.

Yan Hua was somewhat stunned. Before she could react, those two people had already quickly run off.

She came to her senses and asked in confusion, “What’s going on with those two? Why would they appear in our territory?”

“Yes, they appeared for just a moment and then ran off?” Sha Lan was equally astonished.

“What just happened? Did I see wrong?” Yan Hua clearly still hadn’t fully processed it.

However, those two people had indeed run extraordinarily fast, disappearing instantly, as though they had vanished the moment they stuck their heads out.

“They don’t seem like they came to our Tribe to trade.” Sha Lan frowned.

She felt this matter wasn’t simple. If they were here to trade, they should not have behaved like that. Moreover, there should not have been only two people appearing. What’s more, they were not carrying anything, which clearly meant they were not here to trade.

Additionally, their expressions were very peculiar. All these signs indicated these two people were far from simple.

“Could they be here to gather intelligence?” Yan Hua’s expression also looked troubled.

Recalling those two people’s expressions, they definitely were not simple. There must be something going on.

“Let’s return and report this to the Chieftain and the Shaman. This matter isn’t as simple as it looks.” Sha Lan said.

“Alright.” Yan Hua nodded.

*Step step step…*

The two didn’t dare delay in the slightest, quickly activating their Totem Power to leave the forest.

An hour later, the two appeared at the Yong’an Building, drenched in sweat, still catching their breath.

“Have some water first. Seeing how urgent you look, is something wrong?” Su Bai asked.

Yu Ying had already poured two glasses of water, adding ice cubes to each so they would be refreshingly cold to drink.

*Gulp gulp…*

Yan Hua quickly finished a glass of water, took a deep breath and said, “Shaman, we encountered strange people in the forest.”

“Strange people? What kind of strange people?” Su Bai also became serious.

He rarely saw the girls looking so grave. This matter must be quite serious.

“We were originally sparring in the forest, but we discovered two suspicious people.” Yan Hua recounted everything in detail.

After listening, Su Bai frowned. This news certainly wasn’t good news.

He also took a sip of water and asked, “You said there were only two people? And they didn’t seem like people who had previously come to our Tribe?”

Since Flame Dragon Tribe had opened the Central Market, it had attracted quite a few people to the Tribe.

People from various Tribes came, and Yan Hua and the others had seen some of them. They had gained at least some understanding of those Tribes’ attire and characteristics.

However, the attire of those two people they saw in the forest was unlike any they had seen before, which clearly meant they were not here to trade.

“Yes, those two people definitely have some plan.” Yan Hua nodded repeatedly.

“Shaman, should we send people to search now? Why would these two people appear near our Tribe for no reason?” Sha Lan suggested.

Su Bai put down his cup, his black eyes shifting as he said, “So much time has passed. Those people have long since left our Tribe’s vicinity. We definitely won’t be able to find them.”

“Shaman, could it be those people from the Dark Scorpion Tribe?” Yan Hua suddenly asked.

Yan Hua had been somewhat puzzled at first, but thinking about the previous incident with the Dark Scorpion Tribe, she instantly understood.

“It’s possible. I was also thinking that. After all, those two people said last time that there are more or less people from their Tribe in our vicinity.” Su Bai said with furrowed brows.

“Shaman, doesn’t that list have the names of several Tribes on it? Should we first go check out those Tribes?” Sha Lan suggested.

Sha Lan had a good memory and still remembered the Tribe names on that list.

“There are quite a few Tribes. It will take some time to investigate them all, but it is indeed time to start settling accounts.” Su Bai nodded thoughtfully.

Yan Hua immediately stood up after finishing her second glass of water, saying seriously, “Shaman, let me go.”

Yan Hua also wanted to contribute to the Tribe, especially wanting to at this moment.

“Shaman, I want to go too.” Sha Lan also stood up.

Su Bai raised his right hand and pressed down, saying in a deep voice, “This matter needs to be planned properly.”

He originally did not want to settle accounts with these people so quickly, but now they were preparing to come knocking. The Tribe couldn’t just sit and wait for death, could it?

“Shaman, no matter what, I want to help.” Yan Hua said earnestly.

“Why did you randomly go to the forest?” Su Bai suddenly realised.

Yan Hua unconsciously scratched her head, laughing awkwardly, “Just a small competition.”
