I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 735, Different From Memory

The golden Sun slowly rose from the horizon, its dazzling rays sweeping away the gloom.

The forest surface, which had been somewhat damp, was dried by the rising Sun.

Lu Lin and the others were woken by sunlight streaming through their simple Teepees and shining on their faces.

“Let’s pack up and enter the Flame Dragon Tribe!” Xiu observed the busy Warriors.

They were dismantling the simple Animal Hide Bags, while others prepared breakfast.

“Yes, I wonder what the Flame Dragon Tribe will be busy with today.” Lu Lin stretched her waist.

“…” Xiu did not respond, concentrating intently on the distance.

Lu Lin noticed his stunned expression and turned to look in the same direction.

She was also stunned, and said. “What’s this situation? Why would they do this?”

Lu Lin saw people from the Flame Dragon Tribe coming out to water those strange plants, and some even bending down to loosen the soil. Some were even removing what looked like weeds. All of this left Lu Lin and the others completely dumbfounded.

“What are they doing? Why are they weeding these unimportant plants?” Xiu finally spoke.

He thought the people of the Flame Dragon Tribe must be mad, surely? Why go to such lengths for these plants?

Planting so many strange things at the Tribe’s entrance was one thing, but to nurture them so carefully was truly incomprehensible.

“Could these plants be edible? Otherwise, why would they go through such trouble?” Lu Lin speculated.

This was the only explanation that made sense now, otherwise were they planted to pass the time? That did not seem likely.

“Probably, but I wonder how these strange plants taste.” Xiu shrugged.

*Step step step…*

After their brief surprise, they went to eat breakfast. After finishing and packing up, they walked towards the Flame Dragon Tribe’s main gate.

At the gate, they were naturally required to surrender their weapons first, otherwise they could not enter the Flame Dragon Tribe.

The people of the Spotted Deer Tribe were naturally unwilling, initially very resistant, but quickly compromised.

Of course, this was all thanks to those others at the entrance, who had already been to the Flame Dragon Tribe. Thus, they knew the Flame Dragon Tribe would not do anything to them, and thought this might be a precaution, especially after what happened with the Black Snake Tribe.

After some hesitation, they compromised, deposited their weapons, and entered the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“We helped them so why are they still treating us like this?” Xiu was somewhat angry.

He began to feel their aid had not been worth it. They should not have agreed to help the Flame Dragon Tribe before. Now it felt like they were dealing with an ungrateful wolf.

The Spotted Deer Tribe people had come, and the Flame Dragon Tribe should receive them properly, yet they still confiscated weapons. Just thinking about it made him angry.

“There’s nothing we can do about it. They’re probably just being cautious. They can’t make exceptions just for us, can they?” Lu Lin consoled him.

She too did not understand at first either, but after thinking about it, she let it go. As long as it did not endanger the Spotted Deer Tribe’s safety, it was fine.

“But when did the Flame Dragon Tribe get so many good things?” Xiu recalled the goods at the entrance.

Almost everything was something he had never seen before, and every item was exceptional.

“Probably just during this period. If they’d had them earlier, when they traded their ceramics with us, they would have brought these good things too.” Lu Lin blinked her golden eyes and continued. “That way they could have exchanged for even more things.”

“They were most likely developed during this period, but how did they manage to do it?” Xiu frowned.

The scent of perfume and taste of wine still lingered in his mind. They were truly unforgettable.

Actually, if not for these goods, he probably would not have been willing to deposit his weapons.

He would rather have everyone return on the spot than accept having all their weapons confiscated.

“It’s also possible they were made using Shaman Technique, or extracted from certain plants.”

Lu Lin thought seriously for a moment and continued. “But I don’t know of such things existing in nature.”

These things were truly difficult to explain. The scent of perfume was very fragrant, yet not overwhelmingly pungent. And while the taste of wine was a bit strange to drink, the final taste was excellent.

“When we meet the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Shaman later, we’ll ask and find out. We helped them last time, so they should at least answer such simple questions.” Xiu speculated.

“Who knows. Actually, this time we came to see what’s different about the Flame Dragon Tribe, especially their Central Market.” Lu Lin said.

She was clear about their mission this time. It was not to question the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Shaman.

Rather, they needed to observe exactly how the Flame Dragon Tribe attracted people from the Spotted Deer Tribe, and what methods they used.

However, clearly the answer was already emerging. Even before entering the Flame Dragon Tribe, it was already obvious.

That pleasant-smelling perfume and the good-tasting wine, and even those ceramics and so on.

All these were things other Tribes did not have. It would be strange if such amazing goods did not attract others.

“Just now outside the Tribe, they said the Central Market is after entering the Tribe…” Xiu began trying hard to identify directions.

He was already extremely shocked. Those things at the entrance had been shocking enough.

After entering the Flame Dragon Tribe, he discovered the Flame Dragon Tribe had completely changed. This gave him an even greater impact.

Initially everyone was chatting there, but now after stopping to observe their surroundings.

His pupils had dilated. The surrounding environment was vastly different from his last visit, especially those cement houses and stone roads.

“When did so many cement houses appear?” Lu Lin also became extraordinarily shocked.

From what she remembered, there weren’t any during her last visit, and that was only a few months ago.

The Flame Dragon Tribe had undergone a major transformation, and in a way she had never seen before.

“How did this place become like this? The houses are all so tough and steady, why would they fear other Tribes anymore?” Xiu subconsciously knocked on the wall of a cement house.

He discovered these cement house walls were extraordinarily hard, different from wooden houses.

Looking down at the road beneath his feet was also very shocking. The feeling of stepping on it was akin to stepping on stone.

It gave a very reassuring feeling, unlike the soft dirt roads he had walked on before.

The current appearance of the Flame Dragon Tribe showed no trace of being bullied before. Rather, it had gotten unprecedentedly stronger.

“My goodness.” Lu Lin was so shocked she could not speak.
