Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Vol 2 Chapter 38. Won’t You Go to Shaolin Temple With Me? (3)

After defeating the Four Bears of Hunan.

Mun Yul and the disciples tried to relax as if they had crossed an important hurdle, but….

“Huh? What bullshit? It’s just the beginning?”

This one word of Patrick made the disciples anxious again. The Bong-gong the disciples know has a personality like dog mess, makes them do nonsensical training, always lives with liquor in his mouth, and goes crazy for money….

“Our sect has a serious problem.”

“I also just realized that right now.”

“Me too me too.”

Anyway, he was never a human to spout nonsense.

What Patrick says was coming true with high probability. And this time was the same.

A few days later.

“Come out here!”

Tens of burly men flocked to the main gate of the sect and knocked on the door.

“Who is it?”

When a disciple went out and spoke, the man holding a giant wolf-tooth club in front of those burly men said.

“This person is called Gal Cheong, the Sect Leader of the Song-ak Sect. I wish to challenge the Twin Dragon Sect, so the Sect Leader come before me right now!”

So he says.

Whether Gal Cheong or Gal-gal-i, that guy, who created his own sect not long ago, challenged the Twin Dragon Sect to make a name leading his disciples. However….

“Kueaaaaack!”

Mun Yul’s Flashing Dragon Strike exploding directly.

The outcome was decided in just 10 moves.

The person called Gal Cheong couldn’t even take his dropped weapon and ran away hurriedly with his disciples.

And again the next day.

“This person is called Baek Mo doing warrior training. I came to challenge the Twin Dragon Sect of high repute.”

Likewise, he got hit by one Flashing Dragon Strike and flew away.

And again the next day.

“Hahaha. The Sect Leader of the Twin Dragon Sect come out at once. This body is the one called the Tiger of Shaanxi….”

This guy got hit a lot.

After knocking him down with Flashing Dragon Strike, when he tried to get up again, Mun Yul beat him to death with the scabbard.

But what is the use?

When the next day comes again….

“This person is of the Azure Sky Sect….”

“Ah! Just come all at once!”

Mun Yul shouted in annoyance and started smashing the challengers.

Patrick was watching that scene from afar, tilting a liquor bottle and giggling.

“Watching this is fun. Sona. Shall we make a bet? Does he last 10 moves? Or not?”

“How much can I bet on not lasting?”

“Let’s quit.”

There was a disciple trying to empty the master’s pocket completely with a full bet.

To the two, the youngest disciple Yun-a brought beef jerky as a snack and said.

“But Bong-gong?”

“Huh? Why?”

“Why do challengers keep appearing after defeating the Four Bears of Hunan?”

“Because our Twin Dragon Sect is now making a name in the Jianghu.”

“…….”

“To be more precise, shall I say we started to make a name a little in this vicinity?”

Yun-a understood even less.

“What does making a name have to do with challengers?”

“Mmm, our pretty and cute Yun-a seems curious about that.”

Patrick stroked Yun-a’s head.

Although merciless during training time, Patrick cherished Yun-a, the youngest disciple, quite a bit at other times.

Isn’t she the cute youngest?

“Know this. The existence of the Jianghu people basically lives off reputation.”

“Off reputation?”

“Right. Reputation is immediately property, status, and skill. Whether Orthodox or Unorthodox or wanderers without affiliation, Jianghu people are all like that. Do you know why?”

“I think I know a little.”

Yun-a nodded her head.

Even she thought famous Jianghu people all had a lot of money, many subordinates, and also strong skills.

Because they have to make a name for that.

“Our Twin Dragon Sect hit the jackpot with commerce recently and afterward built reputation by defeating the Unorthodox miscellaneous soldiers led by the Four Bears of Hunan. So those who want to make a name by winning against our Twin Dragon Sect flock here.”

“Then why didn’t this happen when the Bong-gong caught the Blood Saber Sect before?”

“It must have been too preposterous back then. Since a sect whose name was not known at all until now caught an Unorthodox giant, probably there weren’t many people who believed it.”

“Ah…. But this time it makes sense.”

“Correct. Originally rumors need to have reality for many people to believe them.”

At Patrick’s words, Yun-a smiled brightly as if she understood and said.

“Thank you for teaching me. Bong-gong.”

“Right. Right. If there is anything else you don’t know, ask this Bong-gong.”

Patrick sent Yun-a back after stroking her head. And….

“Why? What? Why look like that?”

“You are very kind to Yun-a.”

“Of course. Since I am originally an excellent adult who cherishes and adores disciples.”

“Why don’t you try adoring the one and only direct disciple a little?”

“Huh? Aren’t I doing that?”

“…….”

Is he serious?

While practically mincing her with a wooden sword during training, teaching with speed, nagging until ears bleed if one technique is wrong, and sending her on liquor errands and mount errands at the drop of a hat….

‘Ah thinking about it pisses me off again.’

He is truly the benefactor of the clan and a great hero who built achievements one cannot help but respect personally, but….

“What, punk? Speak. Speak.”

“Sigh. Forget it.”

Communication should work too. Work.

Persona just shook her head.

* * *

Late at night.

Taking advantage of the unusually dark night as the crescent moon hid in the clouds, one figure wrapped in black clothes with whole body quietly crossed the wall of the Twin Dragon Sect.

Seeing that the gait blocked sound perfectly while being secretive, it seemed specialized in this type of movement technique.

Usually, those who learn this kind of movement technique in the Jianghu are….

“Thief? Or assassin?”

At the words suddenly heard from behind, the man in black clothes rotated hurriedly and sprinkled his hand backward.

From his fingertips, cow hair needles smaller than cow hair flew.

WHOOSH!

But that secretive move was nullified as is by a single sword wind the opponent swung.

Needless to say, the one who unfolded this move was Patrick.

Patrick looked indifferently at the needles falling to the floor.

Seeing the needle tips glistening, it seemed poison was applied.

“Assassin.”

“…….”

“Targeting the Sect Leader? Or me?”

“…….”

“Don’t tell me it’s Yul who just started making a name, right?”

Momentarily the assassin’s eyes shook a little.

Patrick didn’t miss that appearance and smirked.

“Tsk tsk, looks like a guy broken by Yul couldn’t overcome anger and hired revenge.”

The opponent bit his lip tightly and took out a small dagger from his bosom. The will of resistance to fight….

“Calculating to run away.”

The opponent flinched.

He looked like he would fight, but simultaneously with throwing the dagger, he tried to flee.

It was a method that saved his life several times until now. But the opponent was reading such intentions of his.

To the assassin hesitating about what to do…

SWISH!

Before he knew it, Patrick approached close.

The assassin, who didn’t feel the movement at all, stiffened all over.

To his ear stiffened like a frog facing a snake, Patrick said.

“Don’t roll your brain.”

“Ugh… Ugh….”

“Since it’s already wrong.”

That was the last word that assassin heard in his lifetime.

Patrick, who disposed of the assassin, emptied the liquor bottle he was drinking again on the roof. And….

“Were you here?”

Persona appeared in front of Patrick.

Patrick said to her.

“The rest? Did you dispose of them cleanly?”

“Yes. Sanson and Oliver chased and finished those fleeing.”

The assassin who came was not just this one person.

Excluding this guy, ten assassins crossed the wall of the Twin Dragon Sect.

Well, they crossed a river of no return now. Patrick drank the liquor from the bottle again and said.

“The kids?”

“Sleeping soundly?”

“Ugh…. Still a long way to go.”

Patrick sighed.

Excluding the one guy he disposed of personally, the level of the remaining assassin bastards was just so-so.

But the disciple bastards are all sleeping soundly unaware of the world.

“It’s not just the knife flying from the front that is scary.”

The place called Jianghu is a place where all sorts of cowardly tricks are rampant.

Coping with such assassins is basic among basics, but the children were still very lacking.

“Well, since there is no shortcut to becoming a master. Can’t be helped. I have to protect them until the kids become somewhat useful.”

At Patrick’s words, Persona sighed.

“You know the Master also has work to do separately, right?”

“I know. But no rush, right?”

“…….”

“If that bastard tries to pull some trick, it will show. Until then, hiding my appearance might be the best move for me too.”

“Anyway, excuses….”

Persona grumbled but still didn’t urge further.

Since Patrick’s words had some logic.

But there was a limit to Patrick crouching inside the Twin Dragon Sect like this.

Awl in a pocket.

Because the world does not just leave an outstanding figure alone.

* * *

Amid peaceful days where disciples roll and challengers get beaten and bounce outside.

To Patrick who was pleasantly drinking day liquor, a disciple came and said.

“Huh? Someone came?”

“The Sect Leader of the Kongtong Sect has come.”

At the disciple’s words, Patrick yawned long and said.

“Why did that uncle come annoyingly?”

“He says he will meet and speak with the Bong-gong personally.”

“Right. Understood.”

Patrick got up from the seat as if annoyed and walked trudgingly to the backyard.

There was no need to ask where he was.

Since it was obvious where the Kongtong Sect Leader would be.

“Hoho…. Amazing. Indeed amazing.”

The backyard of the Twin Dragon Sect.

There, Jeong Seon, the Sect Leader of the Kongtong Sect, was admiring continuously looking at the World Tree.

“Hey. Others’ sect divine item will wear out.”

When Patrick spoke bluntly, Jeong Seon sighed and said.

“Could it wear out by looking?”

“It wears out mentally. So don’t look.”

“Petty guy.”

“Yes?”

“No, nothing.”

Jeong Seon sighed.

Even though he gave recommendation letters to merchant guild leaders and helped a lot, how can he be such a miser….

He felt like going crazy with envy at the disciples of the Twin Dragon Sect doing breath regulation under that Divine Tree.

“So? Why did you come.”

“In a hurry. Still, I came as a guest, won’t you serve a cup of tea?”

“Discard the stereotype that one must serve tea to a guest.”

So you won’t give?

Indeed he couldn’t help but be the stingiest guy in the world. The fortunate thing is….

“Did you come? Sect Leader.”

That there is a normal person in this Twin Dragon Sect.

“It has been a long time. Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon.”

At the appearance of Go Seok-hyeon who appeared behind Patrick, Jeong Seon greeted politely clasping his hands.

Go Seok-hyeon also clasped his hands back and said.

“A precious guest came, we cannot greet you outside like this. I will serve you inside.”

“Hohoho. I am fine here too.”

“That is not manners. Please come inside.”

Saying so, Go Seok-hyeon led Jeong Seon inside.

Actually, Jeong Seon wanted to keep looking at the World Tree but had no choice but to force his reluctant steps.

After being guided to the inner room.

Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon brewed tea personally and served it, and Jeong Seon Jin’in received the tea and savored the subtle scent.

While doing so, he glanced around the inner room.

‘Simple.’

As far as he knew, recently the Twin Dragon Sect secured a trade route with Tianzhu and is earning immense money.

But in the inner room he was sitting in, no luxury goods were seen at all, and only necessary minimum items were located.

Even those looked mostly like ordinary items.

‘Hohoho. Like this, who is the Taoist and who is the worldly person?’

A bitter laugh came out at the fact that there were much more high-class goods in his room serving as the Sect Leader of a Taoist sect.

He held a sip of tea and said to Go Seok-hyeon.

“Recently news is heard that the Twin Dragon Sect is prospering greatly. Yet I heard the Sect Leader is bestowing medical arts personally against civilians.”

“It is a body that learned medical arts, albeit insignificant. It is shameful to ignore sick people.”

“Truly an excellent person. If all physicians in the world were like Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon, how many people would enjoy that virtue?”

“It is undeserved praise. The Sect Leader is gilding my face too much.”

Such a warm atmosphere of laughing haha hoho….

CLACK!

…Was broken as the Great Devil of Hell put down the teacup on the table.

Patrick, who ate all the grass-brewed water of his share, frowned and said.

“Let’s do the praising each other later when you two are alone intimately….”

Patrick stared intently at Jeong Seon and said.

“Why did you come?”

Anyway, the temper is….

Jeong Seon sighed and said.

“Actually, I came because I have one request for Bong-gong Patrick.”

“What is that?”

“Won’t you go to Shaolin Temple with me?”

Did Shaolin do something wrong to the Kongtong Sect?
