Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Vol 2 Chapter 31. I’m So Glad I Aged (3)

“…….”

“…….”

“…….”

The sound of rough breathing, huffing and puffing.

Glances glaring as if to kill each other.

This is the current state of those who were laughing haha hoho and praising each other as great people just a moment ago.

Seeing that appearance, Patrick clicked his tongue and said.

“Tsk tsk, why do you all fight like this when you could just live well by yielding a little to each other?”

It is the right thing to say.

It is indeed the very right thing to say.

‘You shouldn’t be the one saying that.’

‘Because of whom did this mess happen?’

‘Like a devil.’

Unless the human saying those words is the very culprit who provided the cause of this dispute.

Patrick scratched his head and said.

“Those with good intuition might know, but our Twin Dragon Sect does not intend to end the transaction with just this one time. We might do the same transaction several times in the future.”

If he just overworks Storm Spear, bringing goods from Tianzhu periodically is not a difficult task.

However, if he releases goods recklessly like that, the scarcity will disappear and profits will decrease, so he is just restraining himself.

Anyway, the important thing was the fact itself that Patrick could periodically obtain goods from Tianzhu.

The Merchant Guild Leaders stared at Patrick, shooting fire from their eyes to a murderous degree.

If they miss this opportunity with their eyes open, it will be a lifelong regret.

No, they should just give up on the thought of receiving ancestral rite food from their descendants.

“Who does the Bong-gong intend to entrust the work to?”

“Did I not say? I said it would be fine if everyone shared it broadly and evenly.”

Really? You’re going to give the opportunity fairly to everyone?

If so, the talk is flowing more smoothly than thought….

“However, from the second time onwards, I intend to do the main transaction with the merchant guild that has the best performance.”

I knew it.

Sparks flew from the eyes of the Merchant Guild Leaders again.

In short, it means he will make the merchant guild that brings the most margin after entrusting the work the main transaction partner.

Patrick smiled victoriously at the Merchant Guild Leaders and said.

“I strongly encourage fair competition.”

Ah, I want to hit him.

Five people could only think that simultaneously.

* * *

The warehouse of the Twin Dragon Sect became empty in an instant.

It was because the Merchant Guild Leaders of the huge merchant guilds badgered the escort warriors they brought along to move the goods in a hurry.

And in exchange for the goods going out like that, a pile of thick bills was created in the Twin Dragon Sect.

“Kuh…. We only received the down payment, but it’s quite salty.”

Patrick was extremely happy.

He realized anew that happiness also comes to a person when their pockets are thick.

Now, if he buys nearby buildings and land with this and rents them out, he will get unearned income.

A dreamlike future where money comes in even without working awaits.

On top of that, the influence of the Twin Dragon Sect in Tianshui County will naturally grow as well.

“Wuhehehehehe. As expected, life tastes best when you eat it raw in one go.”

“…….”

Patrick, who was laughing frivolously, looked at Mun Yul, who was staring at him sullenly, and said.

“Why do you have those eyes again?”

“…It is nothing.”

It is a look that is not nothing no matter who looks at it.

Even though the Twin Dragon Sect was hit by a windfall of money overnight, Mun Yul’s expression watching that scene was not very bright.

At that expression that looked like he was chewing on a bug, Patrick put the bills into his bosom for now and said.

“Do you have a complaint?”

“I do not.”

“Ay, seems like you do?”

“…….”

“Wouldn’t it be better to speak when I’m in a good mood? For you, I mean.”

At Patrick’s words, Mun Yul sighed and said.

“It is good that the sect’s finances have become robust. However, as a disciple, honestly….”

“Quickly speak only the main point. Otherwise, you’ll get hit.”

Then Mun Yul choked up and said a word.

“What on earth are we?”

At Mun Yul’s single remark, the disciples listening nearby were startled.

No matter how indifferent Patrick usually is to etiquette beyond being lenient, isn’t it too much to speak as if arguing openly like this?

This was something that could be considered insubordination and punished severely.

However, Mun Yul, whose mouth had opened once, spoke without hesitation.

“The Bong-gong said. Telling us to earn money.”

“I did.”

“But what we did was merely build a warehouse in the sect as the Bong-gong commanded.”

“It was a necessary task. How could we do the work without this?”

“Yes. It was a necessary task. But was this the most important task in the Bong-gong’s plan?”

“No, that’s not it.”

“That is correct. The Bong-gong made all the plans, and the Instructors bought the goods from Tianzhu. Riding that spiritual beast the Bong-gong often uses.”

“Hmm….”

Did he want to ride the Chicken-Eagle?

Is that why he is sulking?

Mun Yul’s gaze was quite serious to think so. And Mun Yul spoke toward Patrick as if vomiting out his indignation.

“Are we that untrustworthy to you?”

“…….”

Patrick’s expression became subtle.

In other words, Mun Yul is saying right now that they came to harbor complaints because there is nothing they are doing.

Here, Patrick….

“You are still young and lacking. Do you think you have sufficient qualifications to intervene in the sect’s major affairs?”

Answered quite seriously, unlike him.

Those eyes made Mun Yul, who was about to flare up and shout, pause. And Mun Yul, who paused for about a breath and composed his emotions, spoke.

“I know that our abilities dare not compare to the Bong-gong or the Instructors.”

“And yet you want me to entrust work to you? Even in a state of being lacking and insufficient?”

“If we only hide and rest in a safe and comfortable place because our abilities are lacking, how can we be called members of a sect?”

“…….”

“We are also disciples of the Twin Dragon Sect. We may look lacking and insufficient in the Bong-gong’s view, but if you are going to treat us like burdens like this, why did you accept us as disciples?”

“…….”

Patrick did not answer.

Unlike usual, he seemed to have many things to think about. And while Patrick was locked in long deliberation….

“Bong-gong. Please do not punish the Eldest Senior Brother.”

“The Eldest Senior Brother is saying these words for the sake of the sect.”

“I… I am also of the same thought as the Eldest Senior Brother. If you are going to punish, please punish me together.”

“It is the same for me too.”

The disciples came out in front of Patrick as if protecting Mun Yul and bowed their heads politely, pleading.

Having read Patrick’s serious expression, it seems they were worried that Mun Yul might receive a severe punishment.

All the disciples were protecting Mun Yul.

The moment Patrick was about to open his mouth seeing the appearance of such disciples….

“What are you all doing?!”

A voice full of anger was heard from another direction.

There stood Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon, dressed as a physician, perhaps having been treating patients in the medical house.

He intervened between the disciples and Patrick and spoke in a stern voice.

“Did you intend to band together as disciples and apply pressure to the Bong-gong?”

“Sect Leader. It is not that, we are….”

“Shut up!”

One of the disciples tried to make an excuse, but Go Seok-hyeon shouted thunderously and blocked that mouth.

Go Seok-hyeon’s appearance, full of anger unlike his usual gentle and benevolent self, was very unfamiliar to the disciples.

“Mun Yul!”

Go Seok-hyeon called the disciple with an angry voice.

Then Mun Yul, who had not even opened his mouth until now, bowed his head politely and spoke.

“Did you call? Master.”

“Is it true that you, as the head disciple, expressed complaints to the Bong-gong first?”

“It is true.”

“Do you also admit that you caused this situation by failing to control your junior brothers?”

“That is so.”

To Mun Yul, who admitted all facts calmly without a single word of excuse, Go Seok-hyeon said.

“Go inside immediately and be on probation. Do not take a single step out of the room until there is a separate order!”

“The disciple receives the Master’s command.”

And as Mun Yul stepped back, Go Seok-hyeon spoke.

“All of you also go on probation in your own rooms. As punishment for causing a disturbance, today is a fast.”

“…….”

“…….”

“Why is there no answer?!”

As Go Seok-hyeon shouted thunderously, the disciples flinched and answered in one voice.

“The disciple receives the command.”

“The disciple receives the command.”

Like that, everyone dispersed.

Go Seok-hyeon spoke toward Patrick.

“Ahem, Bong-gong….”

“Speak.”

“If it is alright, would you speak with me separately for a moment?”

“…….”

Patrick nodded his head slightly.

* * *

Go Seok-hyeon’s room.

There, Go Seok-hyeon held out a liquor bottle toward Patrick and spoke.

“Come to think of it, I have never shared a drink with the Bong-gong like this.”

Of course not.

In the meantime, Patrick had been touring the brothels that had increased in Tianshui County.

Patrick silently held out his glass and received the liquor Go Seok-hyeon offered.

Go Seok-hyeon also filled his own glass and spoke to Patrick.

“You must have been disappointed in the children.”

“…….”

“I understand too. How much the Bong-gong has done for our Twin Dragon Sect, yet those immature things….”

“…….”

“But aren’t they still immature children? I hope the Bong-gong understands and forgives them.”

“…….”

Patrick, listening to Sect Leader Go Seok-hyeon’s words, lifted the glass in front of his eyes and drained it.

He knows why the Sect Leader is acting like this.

He must be sorry.

And worried too.

Devotion for the sake of the sect in the meantime… no, the word devotion is insufficient.

Isn’t Patrick the one who grabbed the collar of the Twin Dragon Sect, which was literally like a corpse fallen dead, and raised it back up to here?

But when Go Seok-hyeon heard that the children gathered their voices and defied that Patrick, his vision went dizzy.

He rushed over and dismissed the disciples.

And now he is soothing Patrick with a sorry heart.

‘Whew…. How great the Bong-gong’s heartbreak must be….’

Seeing Patrick drinking liquor with a taciturn appearance unlike usual, Go Seok-hyeon felt his own stomach burning. And after drinking about three glasses in succession.

Patrick spoke in a calm voice.

“I am not angry.”

“Bong-gong….”

“No, I am angry. I am, but at least I am not angry at the disciples.”

“……?”

“Then at whom are you angry?”

“…Myself.”

“Yes?”

Go Seok-hyeon made an expression that he could not understand. And he asked cautiously.

“It is the children who committed insubordination, and it is the Bong-gong who established merit. Yet why does the Bong-gong blame yourself?”

Patrick emptied the liquor in the glass again and spoke as if grumbling.

“Anyone makes mistakes.”

“That is certainly so.”

“The important thing is to learn something from that mistake and not commit the same fault again.”

“Those are rightful words.”

“But I was doing such a cripple-like thing.”

“……?”

Go Seok-hyeon absolutely could not understand.

Same mistake?

What does this mean?

Actually, it is normal for Go Seok-hyeon not to understand.

The moment Mun Yul argued with Patrick.

Patrick momentarily saw another person’s face overlapping beyond Mun Yul.

The junior brothers from when he was Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon in the past.

[Are we that untrustworthy to you?]

[If it was going to be like this, why did you accept us into the sect?]

[Senior Brother, we are also disciples of the Twin Dragon Sect. Why are you ignoring us?]

Patrick’s memory rummaged through the distant past.

* * *

It was around the time when Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon had just started to grow the Twin Dragon Sect significantly and the sect was establishing its place to some extent.

At the time, Jin Cheon moved busily, governing both the inside and outside of the sect.

He had to do the work entrusted by the Murim Alliance, govern the interior of the Twin Dragon Sect, research martial arts to teach his junior brothers, and also intervene in disputes with the Unorthodox sects.

Those days when even ten bodies would not be enough.

Jin Cheon ran about busily and tried to do all of that alone.

It couldn’t be helped.

The junior brothers who had not entered long ago were weak.

‘I have to do it. Me. I can do it. I can do it all.’

He whipped himself and pushed himself like that. And an incident broke out.

An Unorthodox practitioner called Hungry Ghost Saber Yeom Pa led his subordinates and invaded the Twin Dragon Sect.

Hearing that news, Jin Cheon stopped the work he was doing at the Murim Alliance and ran immediately to face them.

“This crazy Unorthodox bastard! Where do you think this is to act up without knowing fear?!”

Jin Cheon, shouting like that and rushing in, tried to cut the guy down with a single blade. However….

KWA-AANG!

“Hahaha. Is this all? You are more terrible than the rumors.”

“This muscle pig bastard!”

Jin Cheon’s Flashing Dragon Strike could not pierce Yeom Pa’s saber.

And the full-scale sword fight that followed.

It passed 30 exchanges, 50 exchanges, 100 exchanges, but the outcome was not easily decided.

“Kuh….”

Why? Because the opponent is strong?

Of course, he was on the strong side.

If it was Hungry Ghost Saber Yeom Pa, he was at the level to enter the Top Hundred Masters of the Unorthodox Faction at the time.

However, he was not at the level to compare to the big shots Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon had faced in the meantime.

Compared to the Elders of the Nine Sects One Gang or the Ten Great Evils, a guy like this is a small fry.

If it were the usual Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon, he would have made him into pulp within 10 moves at most. However….

‘Damn it…. If only my body was fine….’

At the time, Jin Cheon was in a state where internal injuries had accumulated due to unreasonable missions and he was poisoned by a poison suffered from an enemy.

Without even curing that poison, he ran without resting to save the sect from crisis.

In that state, he faced Hungry Ghost Saber Yeom Pa.

‘It is dangerous if the match drags on like this.’

Jin Cheon, feeling the disadvantage in a long battle, dared an unreasonable attack.

Twin Dragons Eight Sword Forms

Second Form

Great Dragon Cross Sword

It was smaller than usual, but a powerful cross-shaped formed qi pushed Hungry Ghost Saber Yeom Pa back.

“Ugh….”

Yeom Pa was pushed back greatly and momentarily lost his balance and staggered.

Jin Cheon did not miss that opportunity.

‘I end it here.’

And….

“This is the end!”

At the moment he was about to blow the guy’s neck off with a Flashing Dragon Strike of his whole spirit….

“Now!”

“Shoot!”

He didn’t know.

Jin Cheon was so exhausted that he didn’t even realize that Hungry Ghost Saber Yeom Pa’s subordinates were surrounding him on all sides.

They shot arrows and threw spears at Jin Cheon.

Even an iron net was seen.

Although caught off guard, if it were the usual Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon, he would have coped with this too. However….

SQUELCH!

A flying spear pierced Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon’s back.

“Keu-heok….”

Following that, countless arrows stuck into his body and a heavy iron net restrained Jin Cheon. Then….

“Hahaha. Caught him. Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon’s head belongs to this Hungry Ghost Saber Yeom Pa!”

What came to the fading ears of Jin Cheon was the enemy’s hearty laughter and….

“Eldest Senior Brother!”

“Uaaaaah noooo!”

“Stop, you bastards!”

The sorrowful screams of the junior brothers heard faintly from afar.

‘Don’t come…. You cripples….’

Even in that midst, he wanted to shout at the junior brothers not to come, but he had no more energy.

With that memory as the last, Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon lost consciousness.
