Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Vol 2 Chapter 15. Who Asked for Help? (4)

Kongtong Sect.

They were the rulers who had kept their place in Gansu Province for the longest time.

Although there are those among the Nine Sects One Gang or the Five Great Families who have uncomfortable relationships because their spheres of activity overlap, the Kongtong Sect existed wholly alone in Gansu Province.

Well, about 200 years ago, they bisected the power with the Twin Dragon Sect, but except for that time, they boasted consistent solidity.

It was a sect evaluated as lacking in initiative, but nominally a part of the Nine Sects One Gang.

Their strength was beyond doubt.

Among the martial artists of such a Kongtong Sect, a Taoist who still looked to be in his early 40s went to Go Seok-hyeon and said.

“Are you the Sect Leader of the Twin Dragon Sect?”

“Tha… That is so. This one is Go Seok-hyeon, the Sect Leader of the Twin Dragon Sect.”

“I am Yun Gi of the Kongtong Sect.”

Politely clasping his hands and revealing his name, his appearance was the very image of a prestigious Orthodox sect member.

As he revealed his name, the crowd buzzed.

“It’s the Virtuous Governance Sword.”

“Oh, that person is the very….”

“Indeed, he has the air of a hero.”

Virtuous Governance Sword.

Among the Kongtong Sect which rarely engages in external activities, this man is the figure who has made the most name for himself in the last 20 years.

A person with a personality that does not hesitate to do what he thinks is right and the drive to execute his thoughts.

He even ignored orders from his sect at times and went on rampages alone.

As a result, he became famous for numerous chivalrous acts and is considered the most likely candidate for the next Sect Leader of the Kongtong Sect.

“It is an honor to meet the Virtuous Governance Sword.”

As Go Seok-hyeon spoke politely clasping his hands, Yun Gi spoke calmly.

“How great must have been your anxiety due to the invasion of the Unorthodox faction? Now rest assured.”

“That means….”

“The Kongtong Sect will never turn away from the difficulties of a neighbor.”

And Yun Gi turned his back to Go Seok-hyeon, passed through his fellow disciples, and stepped to the very front.

“Listen, Blood Saber Sect!”

As his ringing voice struck their ears, the Unorthodox figures frowned and their breathing became rough.

It was the effect of Breaking Evil and Manifesting Righteousness possessed by the Demon Subduing Divine Art, the heart law of the Kongtong Sect.

That energy suppresses and restricts the opponent’s mind and body when dealing with Unorthodox practitioners or demons.

Having suppressed their spirit like that, Yun Gi continued.

“The justice of the Jianghu has fallen to the ground and the Unorthodox factions continue to gain power, but to think the hand of the Unorthodox faction dares to extend even to the territory of our Kongtong Sect. Our Kongtong Sect can never tolerate this situation!”

And Yun Gi drew his sword, threw away the scabbard, and said.

“If you do not withdraw right now, you will realize how fierce the sword of Kongtong is.”

And he and his junior brothers raised their momentum in unison. Although only about 30 people, the momentum raised by the elites of the Kongtong Sect made the hundreds of Blood Saber Sect members flinch.

However….

“Gal!”

A single ringing voice reversed the situation.

“Any bastard who retreats without this seat’s permission, I will personally make experience hell.”

At Ma Jae-ho’s fierce killing intent, the Blood Saber Sect members who had shrunk back gritted their teeth and straightened their backs.

The momentum of the Kongtong Sect was grand, but the Sect Leader’s killing intent was scarier than that.

Above all, if it was the Sect Leader they knew, he was a person who would actually make an example of one or two people.

“Hmph, foolish fellows….”

Having calmed his subordinates like that, Ma Jae-ho looked at the Taoists of the Kongtong Sect in front of him and said.

“I wondered what the minions called Twin Dragon Sect were trusting to be so cocky…. So. Is this the fox borrowing the tiger’s power? It’s laughable when the Murim Alliance is gone too.”

Then Yun Gi said.

“The Twin Dragon Sect did not ask our sect for help. We came here purely by our own will.”

“Ha, do I look foolish enough to obediently believe the words of you Orthodox hypocrites?”

“It doesn’t matter whether you believe it or not. Rather, choose. Blood Wave Saber Guest!”

Yun Gi glared and spoke to Ma Jae-ho.

“Will you withdraw obediently? Or will you fight against our Kongtong Sect?”

A choice between two.

Depending on Ma Jae-ho’s subsequent words, this place could become a battlefield.

Receiving everyone’s attention, Ma Jae-ho thought for a moment and opened his mouth.

“Kongtong Sect….”

“…….”

“Honestly, I didn’t plan to clash with you guys yet. I intended to touch you after gathering a bit more power.”

At those words, the crowd sighed in relief.

At least it seemed there would be no bloodshed in this place. However….

“But.”

Ma Jae-ho’s words were not finished yet.

“Plan or whatever, to return just because I’m scared of mere Taoist punks smelling of incense?”

“…….”

“Kukuk…. Did I look like a person who would live bearing such disgrace?”

“…….”

“This Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho!!!”

Along with a rough lion’s roar, killing intent overflowed explosively from Ma Jae-ho’s body like an erupting volcano.

And taking out his saber, he said.

“If you thought you could intimidate this Ma Jae-ho with the likes of the Kongtong Sect, it is a big miscalculation. Today, I will take your heads here and make it a declaration of war towards the Kongtong Sect!”

And as Ma Jae-ho released his qi, a blade-sharp momentum spread in all directions.

“Mm….”

‘Was it this much?’

Yun Gi felt a chill down his spine after a long time.

Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho.

He had heard the name.

And since they were of similar age, he also held some competitive spirit.

‘Since he is a disciple of the Heaven Breaking Martial Emperor, I expected him to be strong, but to think it was this much.’

It seemed he would have to engage in a one-on-one duel where victory couldn’t be guaranteed after a long time.

No, to evaluate honestly, he might be at a slight disadvantage. But….

‘I am a disciple of the Great Kongtong Sect.’

If he was going to spare his body because it was difficult and dangerous, he shouldn’t have picked up the sword.

He shouldn’t have become a chivalrous warrior of the Orthodox Faction.

He hardened his resolve and said.

“Junior brothers, prepare.”

“Yes. Senior Brother!”

“Come. Unorthodox bastards!”

The Kongtong Sect steeled their resolve.

“Hmph, since when was it the Kongtong Sect?”

“Only thirty or so, we will bury them all here.”

“Hehehe. We will taste the blood of Taoist bastards after a long time.”

The disciples of the Blood Saber Sect also boiled up their momentum. And….

Thud thud.

Someone walked behind Virtuous Governance Sword Yun Gi.

Yun Gi spoke towards that presence without taking his eyes off Ma Jae-ho.

“Step back. It is dangerous.”

“…….”

“Our Kongtong Sect will handle this…. Aack!”

Ppa-a-ak!

This is the sound made when someone smacks the back of a head with a shoe.

To be more precise, it was the sound made when Patrick Schneider took off his shoe and smacked the back of Virtuous Governance Sword Yun Gi’s head with it.

“……?”

Yun Gi was dumbfounded rather than in pain.

And as he turned his head sharply, there was….

“You bastard, where do you dare to put your spoon on someone else’s table? Are you trying to die?”

“Uh…. Uh uh….”

What is this? Why is a Black Way thug here?

Was the place called Twin Dragon Sect also Unorthodox?

Then did I interfere in a dispute between Unorthodox factions? That shouldn’t be?

To Yun Gi, whose consciousness was chaotic due to being too bewildered, Patrick said.

“You bastard. Someone snatching my prey in the middle is the eleventh thing I hate? Do you know? Huh?”

“…….”

I don’t know about anything else, but I wanted to ask one thing.

“Why are there so many things you hate?”

Patrick puffed out his chest and spoke confidently.

“Ahem!”

* * *

Jaw drop!

Mun Yul’s mouth dropped open.

He wondered what that human called Bong-gong was doing when he approached behind the Virtuous Governance Sword and took off his shoe.

Until he held that shoe in one hand and pulled it way back, he thought ‘surely not’.

But surely, he didn’t know he would smack the back of the Virtuous Governance Sword’s head just like that with it.

“Th… That is that…. Ma, Master!”

He urgently looked for his Master. But….

“Aat! Master.”

“Senior Brother, Master collapsed.”

“Uaaaaang! You can’t die.”

Regrettably, this scene seems to have been too harsh for his Master to accept as well.

Seeing his Master falling backward holding the back of his neck, Mun Yul snapped to his senses.

He wanted to lie down side by side next to his Master, but he couldn’t.

‘I have to stay alert at least.’

“Se… Senior Sister. Why is that hu…man, no, Bong-gong doing that?”

Then Senior Sister shrugged and said.

“It can’t be helped.”

“What can’t be helped?”

“Didn’t you hear? Someone snatching his prey in the middle is the eleventh thing Master….”

“Kuaaak! Is that important right now?”

“It is important….”

“No, no, I didn’t shout at Senior Sister.”

As Persona’s expression became sullen, Mun Yul was rather flustered. But that is that….

‘What does he intend to do?’

That is something to be seen from now on.

* * *

“Wh… What is this behavior?”

The first one to argue with Patrick was not Yun Gi who was hit in the back of the head, but his junior brother.

He pointed his sword tip towards Patrick, seemingly forgetting that the Blood Saber Sect was in front of his eyes.

“To treat someone who came to help like this? Where is there such a law?”

“Who asked for help? Huh? Did I ask for help?”

“…….”

Mouths drop open.

Whether they did or not, Patrick jumped up and down wildly and said.

“You things came to someone else’s territory arbitrarily. Because of you, that Unorthodox punk is misunderstanding that I asked for help, isn’t he? What are you going to do? What are you going to do?”

“Eeek…. Then are you saying you can deal with the Blood Saber Sect with the Twin Dragon Sect’s power?”

“Is that something to ask? Dealing with kids like that is eating cake after a meal, isn’t it?”

“Cake?”

“What that is, is…. The important thing is not that, anyway, we don’t need it so get lost. You malcontent bastards!”

“Haaaa….”

“What kind of help is help in dealing with such trash. Go away. Shoo! Shoo!”

Seeing Patrick gesturing as if chasing away a neighborhood mutt, the mouths of the Kongtong Sect Taoists dropped open.

‘What kind of guy is that?’

‘What kind of guy is that?’

And they weren’t the only ones pissed off.

“Kukuk…. You bastards dare to play pranks right in front of this Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho?!”

“You wait a bit. I’ll deal with you after sending the kids away.”

“Da….”

“I said wait. Anyway, birds of a feather, Unorthodox bastards really don’t listen.”

“…….”

Ma Jae-ho learned for the first time.

That when anger reaches the extreme and exceeds the limit, one feels emptiness.

Whether he did or not, Patrick only said what he wanted to say and did what he wanted to do.

“I will organize the situation. First, Kongtong Sect. You go. And Blood Saber Sect? You come in. Now then st….”

“Wa… Wait a moment please.”

“What wait again? Let’s fight a bit.”

“Are you saying the Twin Dragon Sect will face the Blood Saber Sect alone right now?”

“I said so.”

“It is impossible. The opponent numbers over 300 just in numbers.”

“Just the right number to beat up.”

“Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho is a disciple of the Heaven Breaking Martial Emperor and a figure counted among the fifteen great bladesmen of the Unorthodox faction.”

“Fifteen? What is that? That ambiguous number? It should be cut precisely at three, five, or at most ten.”

“…….”

“Eing, it wasn’t like this in the old days, but things these days are slack. Tsk tsk tsk, it’s the end of the world. End of the world.”

“…….”

‘What is this? I can’t follow the flow of the conversation at all.’

Don’t worry.

That is because you are a normal person.

Then Yun Gi’s junior brother, Yun O, who was next to him said.

“Senior Brother, let’s go. There is no need to help while suffering such humiliation.”

“Junior Brother, no wait a moment….”

“Go. Go. Let’s fight quickly.”

“You too, please stay still….”

“Doesn’t that fellow tell us to go too?”

“No. Without us, the innocent commoners….”

“Ah, catching kids like that is easy even without you guys?”

“Stop bluffing!”

Yun Gi couldn’t stand it anymore and shouted abruptly. He spoke with sincere anger towards Patrick.

“Do you intend to ignore the suffering of the innocent commoners of Tianshui County for your own face?”

“Who says the commoners will suffer? Isn’t it fine if I just catch those trash?”

“Dare to treat this seat….”

“Ah, I told you to wait?”

“Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho is not a figure to be taken lightly.”

“Easy. Very easy. So please go. I’m going to get cancer from not being able to fight. You bastards.”

If Virtuous Governance Sword Yun Gi was the most frustrated by Patrick’s behavior of being sincerely annoyed, the one who was most angry was….

“I will kill all you brats!”

Blood Wave Saber Guest Ma Jae-ho.

The anger that was boiling over finally exploded.

His quickly drawn saber flew fiercely towards Patrick.

‘Keuk….’

Yun Gi extended his sword to block that attack. But since it was not an attack aimed at him, his reaction was subtly late.

‘Failed?’

Moving suddenly, his sword form is unstable. Like this, even if he blocks it, he will be pushed back in power. But then….

Crack!

Yun Gi didn’t see it.

What appeared in his eyes was the result.

Before anyone knew it, Ma Jae-ho’s head was thrown back forcefully towards the sky, and in front of him, Patrick had one knee raised.

Patrick, moving much faster than Ma Jae-ho’s attack, had blown away Ma Jae-ho’s jaw with his knee. And….

“I told you to wait. You really don’t listen.”

Before Ma Jae-ho could even fall to the ground, Patrick’s next attack flew.

[ Radiant Dragon Twelve Sword Forms: Third Form: Flashing Dragon Strike ]

A single flashing streak of light.

It was a signal flare announcing that the Radiant Dragon Great Master had returned to this Jianghu.
