Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 357. Heavenly Demon (2)

The Heavenly Demon’s impression after crossing the wall of the world was singular.

“A failure.”

What the Heavenly Demon expected was a worthy rival with whom he could proudly compete in martial arts.

He thought such a being would exist if he crossed the wall of the world.

But….

“How can such a world exist? Such barbarism where not even a fragment of martial arts can be found.”

Pangemonia was a world too different from where he was.

Two creator deities creating each other’s creations, various races sometimes competing and sometimes cooperating to promote the world’s development….

In short, it was a disgustingly peaceful world.

Naturally, there was no way the martial rival the Heavenly Demon desired existed.

The Heavenly Demon was greatly disappointed, and soon that disappointment turned into extreme anger.

If it was going to be like this, it would have been better to wage war with the Celestial Realm until the end.

Filled with resentment, the Heavenly Demon decided to bring about the end to this world.

“Kill them all. If it’s a life, leave not a single blade of grass, not a single rat.”

“Your command!”

The Heavenly Demon mobilized the retainers he led to massacre all beings on the ground.

Yupinel and Kalaron gave oracles to oppose the creatures on the ground, resisting passively.

Thus, a great war with the survival of the world at stake broke out.

Although the fact that the reality of the war was just the Heavenly Demon venting his anger was not known to the world.

As a result, the Heavenly Demon was defeated.

Of course.

In the first place, the Heavenly Demon hadn’t even engaged in this war seriously.

And Yupinel and Kalaron fought desperately, borrowing causality from other worlds to create combat-type creatures called dragons, and even taking unreasonable measures such as pouring their own Divine Power into them.

Thus, the Heavenly Demon was defeated and sealed.

Even when Yupinel sealed him and drove a spear in to secure it, the only emotions the Heavenly Demon felt were disappointment and boredom.

Time passed in that sealed state.

Within it, the Heavenly Demon observed the world he was originally in.

He had no interest in the Pangemonia continent, where not even a fragment of martial arts could be found.

It seemed that a person called the Sword Dragon was spreading clumsy martial arts to the world, but it didn’t seem likely to reach a level that would satisfy the Heavenly Demon.

So it was better to watch the world he had left and get vicarious satisfaction.

Isn’t there a possibility that a grandmaster like Bodhidharma or Zhang Sanfeng might appear?

Time passed like that.

And one day.

A figure appeared who caught the Heavenly Demon’s eye.

[You bastard! Just because you’re a Shaolin elder, is that everything? How dare you act like an old fogey in front of my master? Huh?]

The first impression was simple.

‘What kind of crazy bastard is that?’

It was a normal reaction that anyone would have.

In fact, he was dumbfounded.

He hadn’t expected such a crazy rascal to come out of the Orthodox Faction, not the Demonic Cult or the Unorthodox Faction.

Even….

[Cheon, can’t you stop?]

[No, Master, this bald monk with hair growing backwards picked a fight first….]

[You rascal! What rudeness is that to the elder of Shaolin? Did I teach you like that?]

The master seemed like a proper Orthodox person.

No, there aren’t many people in the Orthodox Faction who are that frustratingly upright.

Wasn’t it a characteristic of the Orthodox Faction that most of them advocate chivalry and the right path but use underhanded methods for their own benefit?

However, the sect leader of the Twin Dragon Sect seemed to have created an ideal human being of what the Orthodox Faction should be.

And for a disciple raised with care by such a person of excellent character to be such a rascal….

[What are you staring at? I’ll just, this bald monk…!]

[Cheon, you rascal!]

“An interesting combination.”

From then on, the Heavenly Demon watched.

The path of the Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon.

It was truly phenomenal.

A disciple of a third-rate sect in the countryside, at best, was making a mess of the Murim by bumping into everything.

Even the Heavenly Demon had to click his tongue at that sight.

Especially the most surprising thing was that Jin Cheon’s path and martial prowess were not proportional.

Possessing martial prowess that could be evaluated as upper-middle of the State of Harmony at best, he fought a duel with a master of the State of Profundity and won.

If it happened once or twice, one might think it was luck, but….

[H… How could I lose to a brat like you….]

[Real combat is different. You scholar-like clan head of the Moyong Clan.]

[How dare you…. Do you not know hierarchy? At best a first-generation disciple daring to speak to the clan head of the Great Moyong Clan….]

[Huh? What? I can’t hear well because it’s the words of a clan head of the Five Great Families who got beaten by a kid not even half his age?]

[K… Kugh….]

[Anyway, I won and you lost. So as promised, kneel before my master, bang your head, and apologize. The compensation amount for mental damage will be settled after that…. Ah…. It hurts. Master.]

[Be moderate. You rascal!]

Such things happened more than ten times.

Even fighting against opponents with a skill difference he could never logically beat, the Radiant Dragon Great Master never lost.

Even if the opponent’s realm was much higher than his, as long as the condition of one-on-one was met, he boasted an absolute undefeated record.

Seeing that, the Heavenly Demon thought.

‘A true winner.’

It is easy for the strong to defeat the weak. Or rather, it is just natural.

But it is never easy for the weak to take down the strong.

To overcome someone stronger than oneself, something beyond the realm of martial arts was needed.

Like the temperament of a winner, like a wolf snatching the neck of a tiger.

Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon had that.

Seeing that, the Heavenly Demon thought.

No, he craved.

‘I want to fight that man.’

Although the Heavenly Demon was sealed, he could convey his intention to Yupinel and Kalaron.

He proposed a deal.

That if they set the stage for him to compete with that Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon, regardless of victory or defeat, he would obediently leave their world.

For Yupinel and Kalaron, it was a proposal they had no choice but to accept.

The Heavenly Demon’s seal would eventually be broken someday.

In the first place, it is impossible to seal a divine rank of the same level forever.

And from the perspective of the Pangemonia continent, there was no way to oppose the Heavenly Demon if he broke the seal and came out again.

But how fortunate is it that the Heavenly Demon says he will leave on his own?

Thus, the deal was concluded.

When Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon died at the Falling Phoenix Sect, Kalaron and Yupinel paid a considerable amount of causality as a price and brought his soul.

And now.

Finally, the Heavenly Demon’s wish has come true.

How much had he wished for this moment?

The attack of the opponent attacking him is an attack that actually threatens him.

The opponent is blocking his attacks.

Also, even if hit, he somehow endures, gets up again, and rushes in.

This ordinary thing was a miracle the Heavenly Demon had desperately wished for even in his dreams.

The long, long thirst as a martial artist was finally being satisfied.

***

“…No way.”

“Master is….”

“……”

Patrick’s companions, who came up after promising a truce with the Demonic Cult elders, could not close their mouths.

They couldn’t believe the reality in front of them.

That Double Dragon….

The strongest on the continent, Patrick Schneider….

Was being beaten one-sidedly to a miserable extent in front of their eyes.

It was a scene unimaginable to anyone who knew Patrick.

Barely enduring and blocking the opponent’s attacks, he eventually flies backward and rolls on the floor.

And the sight of Patrick forcibly getting up again while vomiting blood was a scene they had never imagined.

Grind!

Instantly, the sound of teeth grinding was heard.

The owner of that voice was….

“I’ll kill you!”

It was Elione, one of Patrick’s wives.

The moment she confirmed Patrick’s appearance, a killing intent terrifying enough to make even her allies flinch overflowed from her body.

And she immediately summoned a high-ranking spirit and charged forward.

But….

Tuuuung!

She was blocked by a translucent barrier and bounced off.

“Kuk….”

Grinding her teeth, Elione corrected her posture and clenched her jaw.

To her, the Demonic Cult elders said.

“Foolish. Did you think we brought you here without any preparation?”

“What did you do?”

“It’s called a formation. Should I say it’s similar to a magic circle, to put it simply for you?”

“Release it right now, otherwise….”

“Laughable. Why should I listen to you?”

“I’ll kill….”

“In the first place, this isn’t something we can release either.”

“……”

“Because that is a formation deployed directly by the great god.”

Elione’s expression crumpled.

She could intuitively tell that those words were not a lie.

But she’s supposed to just watch this?

Just watch her man dying miserably?

Asking an Elven woman with a strong obsession with her partner to endure this was impossible in the first place.

“I’ll kill….”

“Calm down. Elione.”

It was then.

A soft hand approached and stopped her.

If it had been anyone else, Elione would have reacted sharply.

But the moment she confirmed the opponent, she couldn’t.

“April? You…?”

The one who calmly stopped her was April, who held absolute reverence and devotion for Patrick no less than herself.

It was surprising that she stopped her, but even more surprising were her calm eyes.

“How can you be so calm?”

At Elione’s rebuke, which even felt like betrayal, April said calmly.

“Trust the Young Master.”

“……”

“That much is neither a crisis nor anything.”

Elione was surprised.

Bluffing?

No, this looked sincere.

***

“Hmm, it seems guests have arrived.”

The Heavenly Demon nodded, seeing Patrick’s companions brought by the Demonic Cult elders from a distance.

Although he cared for no one other than Patrick in the first place, he had ordered the elders not to kill Patrick’s companions if possible.

They were chosen.

As witnesses to this historic duel.

Of course, he could never tolerate them intervening in this sacred duel.

So he had deployed a formation in advance.

Demonic Soul Gold-Crushing Formation.

A formation that cuts off external intervention, and the Heavenly Demon had infused his Divine Power into it to strengthen the formation.

Unless one possessed a level of Divine Power equal to his, it could never be destroyed.

“It’s a technique I learned as a pastime, but it’s helpful when used like this.”

With a satisfied smile, the Heavenly Demon looked at Patrick and said.

“Now, let’s continue. This time, I want to attack first. Try to endure as much as you can.”

Hearing the Heavenly Demon’s words, Patrick vomited blood and forced himself up.

“Cough…. Damn it, making me really embarrassed.”

Patrick felt like his internal organs were twisting….

No, they were actually twisting.

Seeing something like pieces of internal organs mixed in the bloodstains.

He expected him to be strong.

But he didn’t know it would be to this extent.

The difference in martial prowess level is two or three…. No, honestly, he can’t even estimate how much difference there is.

However.

“As expected.”

“What is?”

“There is a chance of winning.”

At Patrick’s words, the corners of the Heavenly Demon’s mouth went up.

“Hoh, indeed an unparalleled winner. You mean you have a move to overturn this skill difference?”

“Of course, two of them at that.”

At Patrick’s words, the Heavenly Demon became interested.

If it were anyone else’s words, he wouldn’t care, but if it was this Patrick Schneider he chose, there was a high probability it wasn’t just nonsense.

“Can I hear them?”

“5 gold if you’re curious.”

Cling.

“……”

Uh, this is the first time someone actually gave it.

Patrick looked at the 5 gold coins that fell in front of him with a sour look, then just stood up.

And he said to the Heavenly Demon.

“I’ll especially teach you for free.”

“I’m honored. So what is the chance of winning?”

“One is an unbreaking grit and an indomitable heart.”

For a moment, the Heavenly Demon was dumbfounded.

Saying such obvious things in this situation?

“And the second is….”

Patrick smiled and said.

“That you are a novice who is only disgustingly strong in martial arts. You brat.”

At Patrick’s words, the Heavenly Demon made a blank expression.

What did I just hear?

Calling him, who was called one of the Four Great Grandmasters in the Murim and had honed his martial arts for thousands of years, a brat?

“Ha….”

The Heavenly Demon laughed in disbelief.

He was foolish to expect some profound martial theory to come out.

“I made a mistake.”

Demonic energy rose profusely from the Heavenly Demon’s body.

And taking a step forward, he continued.

“I made a mistake even knowing how talented you are at angering your opponent.”

“Thaaaanks for the complime….”

Before Patrick’s words could finish.

The Heavenly Demon’s body suddenly disappeared without any warning.

At that moment, Patrick swung his left-hand sword backward.

It was a swift response as if he hadn’t let his guard down at all.

But….

‘Not a chance.’

The Heavenly Demon brushed aside Patrick’s White Dragon Sword with his right hand and extended his left hand.

The target was Patrick’s right eye.

He intended to take one eye as a warning for disappointing him.

But at that moment….

Crunch!

Along with a sharp noise of flesh being carved out, drops of blood fell to the ground.

The Heavenly Demon widened his eyes.

It was the first time he had seen it since he came into existence.

The sight of his own blood dripping.

What was most surprising was that what achieved this feat was not Patrick’s sword but….

“You brat!”

It was Patrick’s teeth.

The moment the Heavenly Demon extended his hand, Patrick turned his head not to dodge the eye but to bite off that hand.

Seeing Force Energy even on his teeth, absurdly enough, it was a deliberate move.

No, but….

‘He bit me? Me?’

“I knew he was a dog-like civilian, but….”
