Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 595: Chapter 594: Kaidou’s Reading Comprehension

Seeing Shanks living so well, for Buggy, it was almost worse than being killed.

Even though they were all interns at the same time, Shanks had already become famous worldwide, while he himself had eaten a Devil Fruit because of ”Shanks’ trickery,” making it impossible for him to reach the treasures of the deep sea.

Looking at the underlings around him, Buggy found them increasingly displeasing to the eye and immediately threatened them to continue working.

In this remote place, Buggy, with the power of the Chop-Chop Fruit, was nearly invincible and had absolute authority over these underlings. Under his reprimands, they resumed their treasure-hunting journey.

The impact of the incident was far greater, such as Luffy waiting on the beach of Windmill Village for Shanks and his crew to return, though Luffy’s mood swings had nothing to do with the newspapers.

Although the Red Hair Pirates had returned, Uta had not come back with them.

”Shanks, where’s Uta? Where did she go?”

”Uta has gone to start her own training due to some special circumstances, but don’t worry, she’s doing well and it won’t be long before you see her on screen.”

Even though Shanks gave a reasonable explanation, for Luffy, the friend he was used to seeing was missing, and a sense of loss welled up in his heart. He ran to an abandoned windmill tower, looking somewhat disappointedly at the distant shore.

”Hera!”

Heracross, following Luffy, found him by scent.

”Stag beetle, your partner left too, how do you feel about that?”

”Hera?”

Heracross looked at Luffy with a changed expression, not understanding why this person thought they had a good relationship with the other Heracross.

”Alright, it’s decided. We’ll go find them after we get stronger!”

”Hera?”

Luffy couldn’t fully understand what Heracross was saying. If he could, he would know that Heracross was now complaining about whether it had followed the wrong person.

Most of the public was terrified by the news, and using this event, the Navy launched another recruitment drive, further replenishing its ranks with fresh blood. Meanwhile, in the Grand Line, many old acquaintances saw news about the Red Hair Pirates.

On a certain island in the First Half of the Grand Line, Hawkeye tossed aside the newspaper in his hand. He knew his rival well; it wasn’t something Shanks would do, but he wasn’t interested in what exactly happened. He was more curious about when Shanks would leave the East Sea.

Interesting swordsmen are hard to come by, and he hadn’t seen a decent opponent in a long time.

On the Moby Dick, Whitebeard continued to scan the newspaper as usual.

”Red Hair... the kid from Roger’s ship has grown up, huh? The newcomers are getting stronger.”

He and Charlotte Linlin were from the older generation of powerhouses, and compared to them, both Kaidou and Red Hair were newcomers among pirates. Of course, Kaidou had already used his terrifying battle power to prove himself to the world.

Whitebeard vividly remembered that fight, as Kaidou’s might made him feel like he was getting old. Now, with Shanks rising, he felt even more moved.

The BIG MOM Pirates didn’t have much to say about it, but Ghost Island was different.

Due to Tesoro, the people on Ghost Island were acutely aware of what happened in Ellegia, which led to some terrifying events.

”Father! Help, my old man has gone crazy!”

At this moment, Yamato was fleeing in desperation, especially after seeing Arceus observing the lives of Altaria at the Sky Island training ground. She ran directly behind him, something that hadn’t happened in a long time; this time, she was purely forced.

”Kaidou, has your training progressed to Haki Entanglement already?”

Seeing the Hassaikai in Kaidou’s hand, Arceus understood why Yamato wanted to escape. The entangling aura on it had upgraded to Supreme King.

”Not quite, but she’s fallen too far behind. You already know the news Tesoro sent back, don’t you? That kid’s daughter could do such things at just 9 years old, yet this girl is already 16 and needs to catch up with lessons.”

Kaidou shortened his statement.

The intelligence Tesoro sent included that Uta’s Sing-Sing Fruit accidentally released the sealed Singing Demon King, nearly destroying Ellegia.

Kaidou summarized the events simply as Uta destroying Ellegia, which increased the difficulty of his training today.

Among her peers, Yamato found no rival, but facing a serious Kaidou, she was still in a state of getting single-sidedly beaten, and Arceus even saw traces of Dragon Dance in Kaidou.

”Don’t stop me, this girl is too slack. If it goes on like this, won’t others surpass her?”

Due to false newspaper propaganda and Kaidou’s misunderstanding, Yamato experienced a fulfilling and terrifying special life. Although Arceus’s intervention shortened the duration of this exceptional training, people below still saw the firelight appearing on Sky Island.

No one else paid much attention to the news, except Olga.

She knew the truth as the information Tesoro sent back was very clear, but he also described Shanks’ combat capability, saying he could hold his own against the Singing Demon King in the real world.

This was Tesoro’s assessment; they indeed provided help, but that was only in limiting the Demon King’s destruction. Even without them, Shanks wouldn’t lose, but Ellegia would be further damaged.

”Has that red-haired kid become so troublesome? Elizabeth, isn’t this world a bit unreal?”

”Who knows, why are you thinking so much? Don’t you have more monsters around you?”

”Seems... that’s true, but why isn’t there any news about that red-nosed guy? They should be about the same level.”

”I don’t know; maybe he’s hiding and planning something big. I’m off to teach Iscariot how to glide, and you can take your time pondering.”

”You still don’t understand humans. If we lose to them again in the future, wouldn’t we be embarrassed?”

Seeing Elizabeth not taking the matter seriously, Olga mocked her, but Elizabeth then provided a very unusual solution.

”It’s simple, just avoid fighting them again in the future, and your record of 2:0 remains, so you don’t have to worry.”

After saying this, Elizabeth disappeared from Olga’s sight to continue teaching her gliding lessons.

”Hmm, there’s sound logic to that. Maybe I underestimated Elizabeth.”
