Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 582: Chapter 581: ”Playboy

The territory managed by Mandfeish, who is sitting on his beach chair with a helpless expression.

”Isn’t this place my private residence? Why are more and more people showing up?”

Simply put, it’s bustling here. The island’s entertainment facilities have all been activated, and it looks lively with laughter and joy. Occasionally, you can hear cheerful laughter, and shadows flash by in the swimming lanes, seemingly in a swimming competition.

This situation isn’t unusual. For an amusement park, this level of traffic is actually quite low. But the problem is, this isn’t an open-to-the-public amusement park; it’s his private residence.

”Sorry, Brother Mandfeish, it seems... a bit too lively here.”

These people are all mermaids and fishmen, and most of the mermaids are around Sharley’s age. They are her friends from Fishman Island, while the adult fishmen are Ah Long and his underlings.

Even though he says he’s not interested, Ah Long has ridden the Ferris wheel countless times.

Ah Long naturally followed Tiger here. The main island of the Hundred Beasts isn’t easy to access, so they’re temporarily staying nearby.

The young mermaids became interested after seeing photos of Sharley having fun here. Words spread from one to another, and soon, this large group of visitors gathered.

Mandfeish could have refused, but Rushaka enjoys this lively environment, so he let it be. The facilities were built to be enjoyed, and this actually added a human touch to the amusement park, making it more like an amusement park.

An empty amusement park wouldn’t be a suitable place for entertainment, and such an environment would seem more like a haunted house.

As the two permanent residents of this island, Mandfeish saw no reason to oppose others coming here to play. He also didn’t think Sharley needed to apologize.

The purpose of building this place was to make Rushaka happy. Although there were some changes during the process, the result was still good.

”No problem, but that guy Ah Long... are you really from the same father?”

”Well... that is indeed a fact.”

”To be honest, if I didn’t know it was impossible, I’d suspect Tiger is your biological father.”

Mandfeish said this jokingly because other than Tiger, no one else could really control Ah Long.

”By the way, Sharley, could you do a fortune-telling for me? I have this inexplicable feeling.”

”But, Brother Mandfeish, aren’t you a sceptic?”

”Even if I’m sceptical, it can still be a reference.”

”Okay then.” With that, Sharley took out her crystal ball. It’s something she’s always carried since discovering her peculiar talent.

”Hmm... it’s possible there will be new guests arriving here, and something interesting might happen between you all.”

”Guests? Who else would come here... Rushaka, did you invite anyone?”

”No, but Princess Otohime did mention something similar before, but you already knew about that, right? They shouldn’t be considered Sharley’s new guests.”

This was one of Princess Otohime’s requests. It’s impossible for the residents of Fishman Island to learn more about humans through her publicity alone, so Mandfeish’s place became an excellent spot.

Previously, Rushaka, because of that inexplicable rumor, had few friends. Having gotten used to solitude, she yearned more for that warmth, and Mandfeish had reached a private agreement with Fishman Island. Through this, he also received funds to maintain the park’s facilities.

As for his underlings, they weren’t against the beautiful mermaids coming to play. In fact, they seemed quite enthusiastic. Due to their boss, Mandfeish’s subordinates were the closest group within the Hundred Beasts to the Fishman Race.

Moreover, there was another benefit: here, one could see the good side of humans, as well as encounter the bad. Pirates attacking this place wouldn’t consider the presence of tourists.

This aspect is also essential. Merely letting the mermaids lower their guard wouldn’t be good. Sure, there are good humans, but there are countless villains too.

”Hey, Brother Ah Long, you’ve been going around more than thirty times now, aren’t you getting off yet?”

At the bottom of the Ferris wheel, Xiao Ba brought some food. His underlings had gone elsewhere; now only Ah Long remained in the Ferris wheel compartment.

”You go do your thing. I need to ensure this island is safe. Letting so many compatriots run around without any defense is not okay.”

”Hm...”

Xiao Ba left, not really believing Ah Long’s words. Everyone could tell he was just having too much fun.

The Ferris wheel slowly turned, bringing Ah Long to the highest point, from where he could see most of the private island.

He could also see Rushaka and Sharley beside Mandfeish, as well as humans and fishmen happily interacting on the island. However, his gaze soon shifted towards the distant horizon, with a complex emotion in his eyes.

As he pondered life, a massive shadow appeared beneath the sea surface.

At first, Ah Long didn’t care. It’s not unusual for Sea Beasts to live in The Sea; it’s nothing unusual. But this shadow rapidly approached.

”Hey!! Something’s coming!!”

Just as Ah Long shouted, his voice was drowned out by the alarm. Being a frontline island of the Hundred Beasts and with Mandfeish having a scout background, the island’s alert level was always high.

But Mandfeish wasn’t worried because GT-2 showed no reaction. As a ”bio-weapon,” a Genesect wouldn’t remain inactive if an enemy approached unless it wasn’t an enemy.

Waves surged, and a giant red figure emerged from the sea. Nereus’ titan-like form walked to the shore, followed by several Gyarados.

”Is Mandfeish living here?”

She didn’t maintain her human form for long, and her voice, combined with the Gyarados’ custom, spread across the entire island.

Seeing the symbol on her crown, the Gyarados following her, and hearing her words, the tension on the island eased. Hardly anyone would dare impersonate the Thousand Cosmos Bracelet mark, especially not with creatures created by Arceus behind them.

However, Nereus’ form led some to have strange thoughts—like Ah Long. From his high vantage, he looked at Rushaka by Mandfeish’s side, then at his sister, and finally back at the giant woman by the shore who seemed to have fishman lineage.

”How many people has this guy hooked up with...?”
