Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 555: Chapter 554: This Beedrill Can Spin Silk

After consecutive days of high-intensity performances, coupled with the fact that Cindry already had an old injury on her ankle, she felt some discomfort while dancing just now. However, since the performance wasn’t over, she did not show it and continued to perform despite the pain.

But the body has its limits. After the performance ended, she took only a few steps before a sharp pain shot through her ankle, and her body lost balance uncontrollably.

Although her popularity is not what it once was, there are still quite a few audience members inside. Seeing her fall from the high platform, a wave of exclamations erupted.

The high platform she performed on is about ten meters off the ground. At this distance, the speed of a human body falling is extremely fast, and ordinary people can’t react. But when she just fell, a thin thread got attached to her, pulling her to the side.

To be precise, it wasn’t a thread but Tesoro’s silk line.

Beedrills also produce silk, and apart from a few Bug Types, most Bug-type Pokemon that have larval forms can use this move. However, in games, silk production is too weak, and due to skill slot limitations, it is easily forgotten.

But when Bug-type Pokemon transform into human abilities, silk production instead becomes a divine skill, considering it’s a miraculous skill akin to being everyone’s Spider-Man.

He just noticed Cindry’s odd steps. Even though she hid it well, anyone with systematic training could see the anomaly.

This relates to his training with Hundred Beasts, which primarily follows two methods: one being ’strength for miracles,’ which is the path Yamato, Jack, and Ulti took.

In battles, they don’t need precision, just a general idea of where the vital spots are.

The other path is more delicate. Due to lack of inherent strength, their attacks need to be more accurate, like Robin and Nightin, who are exemplary in this aspect. Tesoro, without his own abilities earlier, also followed this path.

Both have a sufficient understanding of the body; the latter being more meticulous. Tesoro reacted the moment Cindry lost her balance, and with strong silk resilience, he smoothly brought Cindry to a safe place.

He didn’t wear a mask while watching the performance. Now, he doesn’t want to transform in plain view, so he used silk as a method.

The sudden change during the performance shocked the audience, but once they regained composure, someone noticed the difference.

”It’s... it’s Tesoro!!”

”Mr. Tesoro saved Miss Cindry!”

Once someone reacted, a cheer erupted in the performance hall, both due to relief that Cindry was saved and recognizing Tesoro.

This is the performance hall; attendees are considered ”celebrity chasers.” To them, Tesoro’s identity as the CEO of Hundred Beasts Fruit isn’t significant, but they value his status as a popular actor.

Cindry is renowned in certain regions, with little fame worldwide as a dance performer, whereas Tesoro is a world-class star, creating a major event in their stargazing journey.

This is why Tesoro wore a mask and used a codename earlier; being too famous makes some affairs inconvenient, and Doflamingo reminded him to have Baccarat and Tanaka wear masks next time.

”Miss Cindry, if you don’t want this performance to turn into an accident, it’s best to cooperate.”

Tesoro whispered to Cindry. An actor’s misstep falling off stage is no good; he has signing intentions and naturally wants to preserve Cindry’s worth.

Though Cindry turned pale due to the sudden incident, her response was decent. Despite her main job being a dance performer, she has seen many grand scenes over the years and immediately expressed cooperation.

”Tanaka, it’s your turn.”

”Alright boss, I know what to do.”

Tanaka pulled up Tesoro and Cindry and sank down from the stands in front of the audience, reappearing at the stage’s center, performing a great live transformation.

”Hello everybody! Sorry to scare you; this is today’s special show. I’m today’s special guest Tesoro!”

Under Tesoro’s manipulation, the stage’s mistake turned into improvisation, and some small reporters found tomorrow’s headlines, prompting a post-performance discussion between Cindry and Tesoro.

But before that, her foot injury needed to be addressed first.

”Miss Cindry, how many times has your foot been injured?”

”Three times... Is it very serious?”

”This time it’s alright, just a slight ligament strain. But if your foot gets injured again... you might have to say goodbye to your career.”

After roughly treating Cindry’s injury, the accompanying doctor stepped back and left behind Tesoro, with only Tanaka and Baccarat remaining.

”Well, Miss Cindry, you also heard, afraid you can’t continue with such high-intensity performances and need some rest.”

”I know. My last doctor said the same... But I still love this stage... Mr. Tesoro, thanks for saving me. May I ask, did you specifically come to see my performance? Was Miss Stella not with you?”

Not seeing Stella’s silhouette, she felt slightly disappointed because she is actually a fan of Stella. They debuted at the same time, but Stella has developed much better.

”She had something to do, but I did come for you, Miss Cindry. Are you interested in expanding to a larger stage?”

Tesoro straightforwardly presented a contract, which was an artist agreement with Hundred Beasts Fruit, even a ten-year-long contract.

”The stage in West Sea is too small; the world’s stage is much larger. If you love this stage, why not give it a try?”

”Well...”

Cindry flipped through the agreement’s content — the conditions were very favorable, and the income would certainly surpass that of West Sea. Yet she pursued this career not for money, as she came from a noble family in West Sea with a wealthy background, choosing dance purely out of passion.

”Your foot injury can no longer endure high-intensity performances; this is the perfect opportunity for you, and you’ve seen today’s outcome.”

”Ah, Mr. Tesoro, you misunderstood me. I meant I want to discuss with my family before making a decision.”

Unlike Tesoro and Stella, she is not alone; she has her family and fiancé. Regarding going to Grand Line, she needs to carefully consider it.

But before discussing anything at home, a series of gossip news emerged...
