Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 579: Chapter 578: Kuma’s Unscientific Behavior

The scholars still had many questions they wanted to ask her, especially the few who studied ancient creatures. As they gradually became interested in Pokemon, evolution, this miraculous phenomenon, also became their primary concern.

”Did you record the process of its evolution? How did it turn into this form?”

”It just... completed it all of a sudden.”

Although evolution is mysterious, the process of evolution is very simple. When the energy accumulated inside reaches a certain level, the Pokemon’s body will be enveloped by the Light of Evolution, thus achieving its evolution. This process is simply inexplicable.

Even though Robin personally witnessed the evolution of Sobble into Drizzile, she still couldn’t describe it.

Life on Sky Island wasn’t particularly eventful, but there was a certain warmth of home in its simplicity. After bringing back the literature, Robin learned a few things from the other scholars and then started her vacation.

Out for two years, she planned to rest for a while on Ghost Island before leaving.

”Robin, any place where the flag came in handy?”

”There were some, this flag was actually quite helpful.”

Yamato asked casually about the flag she had lent Robin, wanting to see if it helped her.

Apart from the trade with Doflamingo, this flag indeed played a significant role afterward. Especially when returning from the Grand Line, it saved her from considerable trouble.

”That’s good. By the way, I heard you encountered some trouble on the way back?”

”Who told you that?”

”Sobble did, the power given to me by my foster father allows me to understand what Pokemon say. It seems like you’ve had quite the adventures.”

”It wasn’t too bad, not really big trouble.”

”Wait a minute, I have something good for you. You might find it useful, I’ll give it to you.”

Saying this, Yamato returned to her room, rummaged around, and found a white combat suit.

This was the battle suit created by Queen. She had had her fun with it, but that didn’t mean the suit lost its value. The suit’s Defense Power wasn’t very useful to Yamato, but for Robin, it was enough to protect against ordinary blades and bullets.

However, the size didn’t quite fit. For Yamato, it was a tight suit, but for Robin, it was like a slightly loose robe.

”Seems a bit big, I’ll have Uncle Queen adjust the size later.”

This is a combat suit, not ordinary clothing, so finding just any tailor wouldn’t work. Only its maker, Queen, could do that since, because of making toys, Queen had unlocked the tailoring skill.

As the main island of the Hundred Beasts Territory, the environment in Wano Kuni was very stable. After relaxing for a while, Robin took her newly tailored battle suit and Drizzile and left Wano Kuni as another letter from Zou arrived at Wano Kuni.

...

”Duke, it’s an urgent letter from Hichugiskhan.”

The one who brought the letter was still Bepo, only this time Setsuna did not ask Bepo to discard the letter but carefully looked at its contents. Over the years, she had already understood what it meant to be endlessly pestered to take over.

Aside from anything else, Hichugiskhan could make up a new ailment every time he wrote. You could say from the horns to the wool, he had been sick inside and out over the years.

The first time, Setsuna was quite worried, but after so many times, she became immune to it. She no longer believed any news about Hichugiskhan being ill if it was personally written by him.

”Zeraora, I have to go back to Zou.”

”Why? Did something really happen?”

”No, it’s the same old way of writing. He’s definitely trying to trick me into going back and inheriting. I need to find a way to solve this problem once and for all.

Zeraora, does Lord Arceus have anything, like medicine, that makes sure a person will never get sick after taking it?”

”This... I’m afraid there isn’t, but there are plenty of things that help in maintaining health and strengthening the body.”

”Then that’s not a problem. I might have to stay for a while. Do you want to come with me?”

”No, Lord Arceus has tasks for me; I just happen to need to go out.”

”Alright then, see you in a while.”

Then Setsuna found Ferren, who was the Thousand-Year Dragon that had visited Zou the most among the Thousand-Year Dragons. Although Zou’s location was not fixed, Ferren was more familiar with life there. However, before setting out, Setsuna saw a dazed Bepo.

”Bepo, what’s the matter?”

”Duke, do you think... bears can fly?”

”Of course bears can’t fly, why would you ask such a question?”

”Look over there...”

Bepo’s paw dumbly pointed to the sky. A bear, holding an unknown leaf, was furiously flapping its arms, and the most incredible thing was that it was indeed flying this way. Perona was even sitting on its back.

”Bepo, you haven’t been here long enough to understand that creatures created by Lord Arceus often defy scientific explanation. What this bear can do, you cannot.”

Birds flap their wings to fly, which is related to their special muscles and hollow bones. For the bear to do it just by waving its arms indicates that it’s rubbing those laws into the ground.

After patting Bepo’s shoulder to dissuade him from thinking about these unrealistic things, Setsuna and Ferren followed the direction of the Life Card back to Zou.

Meanwhile, in the Fluffy Kingdom, looking at the report sent again, Hichugiskhan felt a bit overwhelmed.

The ecology in Zou was once very primitive, with supplies replenished by the Elephant Lord, and the national life was simple and mundane. As the Duke of Zou, he only needed to handle disputes among his subjects, like a village chief at most.

But as the massive aid materials from the Hundred Beasts arrived in Zou, the Fluffy Kingdom began a great development period. The renovation of houses and improvements to water facilities enhanced the residents’ lives while increasing Hichugiskhan’s workload in governance.

Zou had always been a one-man political system. Although he had recently found a few aides, they were inexperienced and still learning, so he remained in charge of all major affairs, which had finally started to cause his hair to fall out.

Even though he had resigned from the position of Duke, he still had to deal with government matters, leaving him extremely frustrated, which was why he wrote letters urging Setsuna to return.

He hadn’t held much hope, just wishing that Setsuna would soon finish playing and come back to inherit. But today, he received a different piece of news.

”Regent Hichugiskhan, the Duke has returned!”

”What?! Quickly prepare for the succession ceremony... No, I’m sick now... Go bring her here.”
