Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 574: Chapter 573: I Admit There Was an Element of Gambling

After evolution, Altaria will possess Dragon attributes, although its appearance bears no relation to any dragon. However, this isn’t the reason it’s called a ”traitor”.

Through Mega Evolution, Altaria gains Fairy attributes, becoming almost an outcast in the Dragon-type family, thus earning the title of ”traitor”.

Azumarill gained the title of Dragon Slayer Warrior only after the Fairy attribute was discovered, having defeated numerous dragons, showing how much the Dragon type despises this attribute.

The walls of Arceus’ room opened amidst the sound of gears turning, and Altarias of various sizes flew towards Sky Island. The largest ones were akin to factory shuttles, regularly taking farmers home for family visits, while the smaller Altarias served personal use in special circumstances.

As for the appearance of Swablu, it was merely to enrich the population and help some insomniacs, as they are also adept singers.

The Swablu held by Yamato was initially happy, but after a while, it struggled to escape Yamato’s grasp as if it had seen something terrifying, flying directly into the sea outside.

The newly appeared Swablu naturally didn’t have the strength to break free from Yamato. Yamato just released her grip because she felt uncomfortable, but it’s the first time she has been ”disliked” by a Pokemon.

”Adoptive father, does it hate me that much?”

”It doesn’t hate you, it’s just a neat freak.”

Swablu is very concerned about its hygiene, unable to tolerate its cloud-like wings being stained, and Yamato’s hands were covered with dust. Initially unnoticed, upon discovery, Swablu had a slight mental breakdown.

”It’s not that dirty. Larvitar never minds.”

Examining herself, Yamato recently did nothing much, merely catching beetles in the mountains for two days and then fighting with Kaidou.

With age and growth, Kaidou has changed his training method for her; maintaining several hours of physical training daily, Kaidou doesn’t train her continuously but arranges a battle every few days.

Sometimes he fights, sometimes it’s his subordinates, and now Yamato needs to seek breakthroughs in battles for better training results.

Among the Pokemon around her, each had different attitudes. Chansey would urge her to take a bath, Miltank would prepare milk, and Diancie typically didn’t interfere but wouldn’t get too close when she’s covered in dust.

After training, only Larvitar liked her more, as it didn’t see much difference between soil and powdered sugar and would never reject its master’s feeding.

”Isn’t it dirty enough? Yamato, still, let’s go and wash up.”

Maria appeared with some documents, report forms about some internal situations of the Flower Capital. Coming back, she heard Yamato’s words.

As the two earliest companions Yamato met, they were quite familiar, with a close relationship. But Yamato found it a bit odd to interact now because Maria was too big.

Maria was older than Yamato and Jack, now reaching a height of eight meters. It was nothing strange for Jack and Maria to interact, but it was different for Yamato.

Initially, there was a height difference, but not that much. Now Jack and Maria became little giants, whereas she became the misfit within the normal human range.

”Lord Arceus, I’ll first take Yamato to the bathroom.”

”Go ahead.”

”Alright.”

Putting down the documents, Maria dragged Yamato out, or rather, took her out. Although Maria couldn’t overpower Yamato in combat, she had an absolute size advantage in normal interaction.

...

Days later, Queen’s creation was expedited to completion; Yamato received her own battle suit, although quite different from the Germa combat suit.

Despite Queen having some research on Bloodline Factor abilities, he wasn’t a specialist in the field.

Compared with the combat suits made by Judge, while this suit retained flying abilities, it didn’t integrate other Bloodline Factor energy.

He worked overnight to finish this, keeping Germa Combat Suit’s special defense power but reducing other aspects.

Yet Yamato didn’t care about these details; Queen gambled correctly, for what mattered to Yamato was the flying shoes, completely unconcerned with other Bloodline Factor abilities.

”Miss Yamato, can we let that incident go now?”

”Alright, but Uncle Queen, what’s this thing on the belt area?”

Yamato pointed to a belt-like object on the waist; the purely white battle suit’s waist seemed more bloated compared to Germa Combat Suit.

”It’s the energy core of the battle suit; what’s inside is the principle for this suit acting as a shield. With this, it can still be powered even when you’re exhausted, although not defending against strong attacks, common weapons can’t harm it.”

”So theoretically, it’s fine for someone else to wear this suit too, right?”

”Theoretically yes, but if someone else wears it, once the energy is depleted, it’s just ordinary clothing. Replacing the energy core would be necessary by then.”

”Hmm... Seems less impressive than Germa’s clothes, Uncle Queen, can’t this suit instantly transform like in the comics?”

”Well... that technology I haven’t figured out yet, but Miss Yamato, aren’t you quite satisfied with this?”

”It’s functional, but it can’t transform in a snap. Uncle Queen, I believe you can make something better in the future, right? Surely you’re no less capable than Vinsmoke Judge.”

It was quite evidently reverse psychology, yet Queen refused to admit being inferior to Judge, stubbornly agreeing to Yamato’s request, even looking up at the Sky Island, contemplating possibly revisiting the library for further study.

But Yamato didn’t specify when she wanted this; previous leverage was mostly cleaned up, so Queen planned to idle for a while before addressing anything else.

The people of Wano Kuni were quick to adapt to new things; those farming at high altitudes quickly got accustomed to the presence of Altarias, which freely flew around the seas near Wano Kuni.

Being transformed from Island Cloud, they could even rest briefly on the clouds when tired.

That day, a Swablu was flying as usual around Wano Kuni.

Spotting a pirate ship bearing the Hundred Beasts flag, it landed directly without hesitation on the ship, drawing attention from those aboard, including Jack, who had just returned.
