Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 571: Chapter 570: Gyarados Queen, a Brand-New Plate

There are many things in the Hundred Beasts Pirates’ warehouse that are almost collecting dust, such as a particular Human-Human Fruit that has never found an appropriate eater.

Human-Human Fruit - Mythical Type - Onyudo Form, the encyclopedia has incomplete records of its abilities, but as a Mythical Type, theoretically, it must have special abilities; Sengoku’s Great Buddha Form has Golden Body and shockwave abilities, so there’s no reason the Onyudo can’t do anything.

Therefore, this fruit has been left in the warehouse. Gyarados is a sea creature, eating a Devil Fruit is not a good thing for her, as it would mean sinking to the bottom.

But she is the first Pokemon to bring back a Plate from the deep sea, and even to encourage others, she would receive a generous reward, King’s Rock and language ability are just part of it, and the Onyudo Fruit was also counted among them.

Compared to humans, the Human-Human Fruit is better suited to be eaten by an appropriate animal.

As for the fear of water issue, he would have to work overtime once more.

After the last removal of the side effects from Okuchi no Makami, he didn’t want to do that troublesome job anymore, but the appearance of the Plate made him decide to make an exception.

Everyone who brought back a Plate received something he bestowed, and if they were to be ranked, Sasaki got the worst, but that was the result of him only worshiping Kaidou at the time.

He almost offended all the other High-Level Officials besides Kaidou, but still had abilities bestowed upon him, merging with the ranks of officials. If he had been more careful back then, he might have received something even better.

”Rotom, take out that Human-Human Fruit.”

”As you command, I will immediately find the item you need, Loto.”

Under Rotom’s intelligent processing system, that fruit was quickly delivered to Arceus. To the average person, this is just a Devil Fruit, but to Arceus, this is a nuisance.

Although he had the experience of removing the side effects from Okuchi no Makami, that experience isn’t very useful for the Onyudo Fruit, because no Devil Fruits are exactly alike, which results in their completely different structures.

Arceus’s modification experience is beneficial, but it cannot be fully applied.

However, he hasn’t made no progress at all, his quantity of Plates has increased now, making his power more comprehensive, and the detailed manual work is now considerably faster than before.

As for the Plate’s attributes, besides Arceus himself, Queen should be the one who likes this Plate the most, because it represents the poison attribute’s Toxic Plate, with this Plate, Arceus can create antibodies to any toxin, or freely generate dreadful toxins.

For Queen, who hasn’t yet figured out the body fluid of Muk, this means his workload has increased once more. However, this increase also means that he is in a state of pain and pleasure, because it’s his favorite thing.

Arceus is preparing new things for Gyarados, while the group she leads remains in the Inner Sea of Ghost Island, except her status has become transcendent now.

Logically, these Gyarados living near Wano Kuni are actually the initial founders, but their task is to guard the nearby sea areas without interest in going out.

Their privilege is to appear around Arceus every day, but today, one of the original members of their juniors has suddenly become the king of the group.

There’s no imbalance in this, because she is the king personally appointed by Arceus, having the King’s Rock bestowed by Arceus. Unless she betrays Arceus, no Gyarados would defy her.

It’s just that those Gyarados have not yet entered the Inner Sea, and their junior, and one whose generation is uncertain, suddenly became the queen of the group, making them feel awkward facing her.

Now only Yamato is at the beach every day, talking with her Larvitar and Gyarados about various deep-sea matters.

”Really, is the deep sea so interesting?”

”Interesting... perhaps, I don’t know if it is interesting, but the abyss of the deep sea often reveals some fascinating things.”

As Gyarados spoke, she flicked her tail, splashing seawater onto the shore. Larvitar was eating sand, and to it, mixing sandy soil with seawater was not much different from sesame paste.

Yamato talked with Gyarados for a long time, until Larvitar ate a large piece of sandy soil from the shore, then left with it.

”I’ll chat with you again in a few days, it’s training time again.”

Watching the departing Yamato, Gyarados submerged into the waters once more, waiting for Arceus to return.

...

And she waited for twenty days; during these twenty days, specific food was delivered to her every day, all made according to Gyarados’s taste, and many Gyarados live within Wano Kuni, their tastes have long been familiar to the Hundred Beasts.

Yamato appeared here once more, but now with a bandage wrapped around his head.

And Gyarados finally waited for the returning Arceus with the fruit. ℯℯ𝘭.

”Master...”

”Nereus, that will be your name from now on.”

”Nereus thanks the master for granting her name.”

Nereus’s eyes were full of laughter at this time, and there is a gentle feeling on her fierce face.

”And this is also for you.”

Arceus said as he tossed the processed Onyudo Fruit into her mouth; the giant mouth allowed the Devil Fruit to slide right in, and she noticed a change in the fruit soon after.

Gyarados’s body twisted and then expanded again, the scale armor transforming into entirely new clothes, long white hair, but the two strands in front of her ears were red. The entire outfit was red, with fair skin and the iconic crown still atop her head, the ears resembling the dorsal fin of a Gyarados.

She’s now a female sea giant, this being her human form, or one could say Onyudo Form, due to being inherently female, reflecting the Onyudo Fruit in her differently, yet still retaining the original massive physique.

Due to the fruit’s origin as a monster from Wano Kuni, she inherited a portion of the female demon traits.

Furthermore, her voice also changed, no longer the crude and hoarse tone, slightly neutral and chilly now, eliminating misunderstandings of any kind. Looking at her own hands, she seemed unfamiliar with the new body.

”Where do you want to stay in the future? You can choose freely.”

”I’d rather continue searching for things for you, Master, the vast sea has many yet unexplored places. I will try even harder.”

”Then leave it up to you, but don’t rush too much; everything remains as it was. The previous islands are our territories, you can seek assistance there when needed; your crown is the token.”
