Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 559: Chapter 558: Bring Him Back Alive

In Queen’s laboratory, the Communication Snails of Wano Kuni were lined up neatly on the table, and the Omanyte paced in front of them as if inspecting troops. If there were ranks among the Radio Snails, then the Omanyte would undoubtedly rank at the top.

Over the years since it had been transformed into an Omanyte, aside from expanding its snail network, its intelligence had also gradually increased, allowing it to organize various pieces of information more swiftly. ℴ

This time, the intelligence it eavesdropped on wasn’t directly related to the Hundred Beasts, but it still chose to report it. Watching Queen slacking off, a Water Gun shot towards the back of his head.

Since it found out that this method could more quickly grab Queen’s attention, it had fallen in love with this approach.

As for Queen’s attitude, given the Omanyte’s unique characteristics, it’s now firmly seated at the top of the Hundred Beasts’ intelligence personnel, and it can be said to be totally fearless. Moreover, Queen doesn’t actually get angry about this, and he’s even become quite familiar with the Omanyte.

The Water Gun hadn’t hit Queen yet when an umbrella suddenly emerged from his braid to block the Omanyte’s Water Gun. This was just a skill to remind him, with no actual power, so an umbrella was enough.

”Mwahaha, you think your trick is still effective? I’ve already thought of how to counter you. So, what have you eavesdropped on this time?”

”Tch~, they plan to target a Fishman named Tiger soon. That’s all the intel there is for now.”

”Fishman... you stay here quietly and don’t bully the other Radio Snails, I’m going to report to Lord Arceus.”

With that, Queen left his laboratory, and the Omanyte began to ponder what skill to use against Queen next time. It seemed that Water Gun was no longer effective, and that made things dull.

Although its Level wasn’t high, it knew more than just Water Gun; with enough thought, there’s always a way.

Meanwhile, Yamato’s days weren’t any easier. After she realized that Queen was a tough and annoying nut to crack, she attempted to challenge others, which gave Queen a chance to slack off, but one was tougher to deal with than the last.

Zeraora who couldn’t be caught up with, Olga whose real body couldn’t be found, and King and Shaina in frontal combat gave her a hard time, but their combat styles also taught her more ways to handle special situations during continuous battles.

After watching Yamato in battle, Queen chose to ignore the scene and found Arceus. Although Yamato wasn’t their match now, she got stronger with every fight, making her increasingly difficult to handle.

He didn’t want to draw Yamato’s attention and redirect the spotlight onto himself.

”Lord Arceus, latest intel: the World Government seems to have given a death order demanding the Navy to deal with Fisher Tiger.”

As the main perpetrator of the Mary Geoise raid, Fisher Tiger’s existence was a mistake in the eyes of the World Government, but an ordinary Fishman wasn’t worth making them act rashly.

Under the balance they maintained, accidents often happened worldwide; those top forces still had to guard some people’s safety and prepare against the monsters of the New World. The previous battle between Kaidou and Whitebeard further illustrated the destructive power of those monsters.

In such circumstances, they only sent some regular people to hunt down Tiger.

However, during this time, not only did they fail to annihilate the Sun Pirates, but allowed them to roam free on The Sea. After all, they were all Fishmen, and with no overwhelming power, humans were helpless against Fishmen at sea.

As the Sun Pirates’ activities expanded, more personnel were dispatched from the Navy. Borsalino was responsible at that time.

However, they couldn’t locate the Sun Pirates. Without a fixed territory, they roamed randomly on The Sea, making it impossible to insert even one spy, given their all-Fishmen crew.

Due to racial reasons, currently, no known Fishmen work in the World Government or the Navy.

In this situation, they could only conduct large-scale searches. After the ship led by Junior Admiral Kadar from the G-2 division was sunk by the Sun Pirates, they found their general location and continuously plotted new actions.

”How’s the development on Fishman Island going?”

”Hmm... pretty well, the underwater minerals are rich, and some ancient relics have been found there. Two types of materials needed by Asie have been found as well.”

”Then it’s simple. Tiger cannot die; if he does, the progress on Fishman Island might come to a halt.”

Fisher Tiger holds a special meaning for the Fishman Race. On Fishman Island, the most restless group is on Fishman Street, and Tiger serves as the stabilizing agent keeping them orderly, particularly in contact with humans, which is led by both Tiger and Otohime.

Now, Otohime’s signature campaign is going much more smoothly than originally expected. According to the original timeline, Tiger would be betrayed after returning Koala to her hometown.

Even though the Navy’s team couldn’t kill him, this event shattered his final trust barrier, making him unable to continue believing in humans.

His blood type was extremely rare; there was no Fishman on the ship who could donate blood to him. Although the Navy battleship’s blood bank had a suitable blood type for Tiger, he refused to accept human blood and ultimately died from excessive bleeding.

Afterward, Otohime’s previously progressing signature campaign nearly collapsed.

Currently, the situation is almost the same: the Fishman Mining Division is a human business, and if Tiger dies, surely many Fishmen would resign, refusing to work for humans anymore.

The World Government needs Tiger to die, but the Hundred Beasts need him alive. Subsequent issues can be studied slowly, but they cannot let him die just yet.

”Fishman Race... notify Jack and Mandfeish, have them make a trip; Tiger cannot die, the rest they can handle however they wish.”

One is truly a member of the Fishman Race, the other has lived on Fishman Island for so long he’s almost become half-Fishman. This isn’t just a matter of strength; it’s about racial relations, which makes Jack and Mandfeish the most suitable people to go.

”Understood, I’ll find him now.”

”Wait, Yamato asked me to tell you something.”

”Miss Yamato?”

”Yes, she’s asking where her fun battle outfit is.”

Upon hearing this, a drop of cold sweat dripped down Queen’s forehead. He had been so busy he forgot about it, and Yamato didn’t bring it up directly with him but instead asked Arceus to pass it along—this was a blatant threat.

”Oh, that, it’s been ready for a while, just needs some adjustments. I’ll send it to Miss Yamato soon.”

Of course, this was nonsense. He was likely to have a few more nights of all-nighters in the coming days.
