Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 588: Chapter 587: Tot Muscia—Singing Demon King

”Ah, I still remember, how could I forget.”

Speaking of Olga, Shanks also recalled those events from back then. She was an opponent he and Buggy couldn’t deal with, and they even lost to her twice using the same strategy.

Talking about those days made him feel a bit embarrassed, and he also remembered Buggy, who was now somewhere else treasure hunting, and couldn’t help but feel a bit nostalgic.

”Does she really remember that clearly?”

”After you made a name for yourself, Olga was quite displeased. That red-haired brat from back then turning into a great pirate, the Navy is truly incompetent, yes, that’s what she said.”

”Hahaha, that’s really interesting. If I have the chance, I should definitely seek some advice from her again. She was the first person to make me lose twice.”

Shanks wasn’t resentful about the embarrassing history from those days; instead, he talked about the past with a laugh. Although the results weren’t pleasant, it was still a memory of his youth.

With a few beers, Shanks and Tesoro temporarily chatted until they got on the topic of a certain person.

”Tesoro, you’re with the Hundred Beasts, right?”

”Shanks, sometimes it’s better to leave things unsaid for everyone’s sake. You already know the codename, so I don’t need to spell everything out, do I?”

”Even so, I still want to ask, what really happened to Mr. Oden?”

After Kaidou and Whitebeard’s great battle, the fact that the Hundred Beasts’ base was in Wano Kuni was exposed. Although Whitebeard didn’t mention much about Kozuki Oden, the happenings in Wano Kuni confused some people.

”I joined later; if you insist on an answer from me... the betrayal by Kurozumi caused his death. His wife and children went missing, and his daughter, Kozuki Hiyori, is now the general of Wano Kuni.”

This was the unified stance of the Hundred Beasts, and it was recorded in history by them as the victors. Years later, perhaps future generations might uncover the true history, but by then, a naturalized Wano Kuni wouldn’t care about this impact.

”His tombstone is in Wano Kuni. If you want, you can visit it, if you have the courage.”

It’s no surprise to him that Shanks asked because he knew Shanks was also a crew member of Roger’s, and Oden had once boarded Roger’s ship. It wasn’t strange for Shanks to know him.

”That’s the answer I can give you. If you’re not satisfied, you could try asking Mr. Kaidou.”

Shanks’s face clouded for a moment, but then he laughed.

”Forget it, let’s not talk about this. I’ll find out clearly in the future. For now, let’s drink to our heart’s content. I think we get along quite well.”

He’s no longer a child; he understands that if he can’t defeat Kaidou, the truth of the outcome doesn’t really matter.

As for his relationship with Tesoro, for pirates, even if they belong to opposing camps, they can drink heartily together when not in battle if their personalities match. Shanks can find out some things through his abilities, but Tesoro’s public identity has always been unrelated to pirates.

Besides, Stella and Uta are chatting happily now, so he temporarily put aside those topics that might bring displeasure.

”Hey, do you think my daughter could make her debut?”

On the Red Force, there’s a television capable of receiving signals from Radio Snails, and Uta was the controller of the TV channel. He watched shows by Tesoro and Stella on it, and had even seen familiar scenes in a replay of that Fishman Island movie.

He knew the status of the other in the entertainment world, and the reason he brought Uta to Ellegia was to fulfill her wish. Now, meeting a professional, he naturally had to inquire a bit.

”She has great talent, and for someone her age, she possesses the ability to lead an era.”

Over the years, he developed sufficient professionalism, and listening to her singing, he naturally made the judgment.

”What do you think, if you’re her guardian, would you want to sign her with us? I’m confident I can make her famous, letting the world hear her singing.”

”If that’s what she wants, I have no objections. But it’s up to her to decide, we will respect her wishes.”

”Mr. Tesoro, it’s all arranged. King Gordon has agreed to our enrollment application.”

Tanaka emerged from the wall like a ghost, reporting his success.

”Enrollment? You guys are here to enroll?”

”Company team building and taking courses on the side.”

...

The first day’s meeting went well, and in the following days, Tesoro and others commenced their planned activities in Ellegia, attending courses there. Ann and Uta were even in the same class.

Time slowly passed, and

Compared to Uta, Ann seemed like an amateur songstress, completely overshadowed talent-wise, and Uta’s outstanding talent caught Gordon’s attention.

Gordon resembled Frankenstein and didn’t need much makeup to play a monster at Halloween parties. But essentially, he was a good person and was also the king of Ellegia, a master pianist.

”This child’s voice is simply a treasure given to the world by the heavens, let her stay here. We can provide her with the most comprehensive education, allowing her talent to fully shine.”

Gordon approached Shanks, expressing his request. In his view, there was no place more suitable for Uta than Ellegia. This kingdom seemed made just for Uta.

Shanks didn’t give a direct answer but left the choice to Uta. Becoming a songstress was her dream, but if the cost of becoming one was parting ways with Shanks, she couldn’t accept it.

She declined Gordon’s goodwill and chose to remain by Shanks’ side. Though disappointed, Gordon respected her decision.

On the eve of the Red Hair Pirates’ departure, the citizens of Ellegia held a grand concert to bid farewell to Uta.

The unexpected happened at this time; beneath Ellegia lay a sealed special score - Tot Musica.

Uta’s musical talent was recognized not only by people but also by the sealed score. Written by a demon, it broke its seal to reach Uta and unknowingly made her sing the forbidden piece.

The sealed Singing Demon King thus broke free and resided within Uta, starting a massacre among the people of Ellegia.

”Hey! Stop standing around, how should we deal with this thing?!”

Insectified Tesoro grabbed Gordon, urgently asking how to tackle the monster.
