The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 56: Chapter 55: Advanced Baking and Dessert Skills

Boss Pang was driving while chatting politely with Fu Yu.

The two of them were quite familiar with each other.

Boss Pang had always admired Fu Yu.

He thought the young man was handsome, had a good personality, and seemed reliable.

Now he was even more impressed.

Never did he expect that Fu Yu could make desserts.

It really goes to show that special talents share a bond!

Boss Pang now looked at Fu Yu as if he were a son-in-law, the more he looked, the more he liked him.

So he was even more kind and friendly in his demeanor.

Fu Yu was multitasking, talking to Boss Pang while eagerly checking his personal skill attributes.

Indeed.

[Personal Skills:

Baking Desserts: 100/500 Advanced]

He had indeed reached an advanced level, but the system only awarded him 100 experience points for his learning effort.

He thought he could master it at a glance and reach full value.

Perhaps it was the grade of his dough-handling skills that was the issue.

It was only at an intermediate level; if it could reach advanced, maybe he’d earn more points.

When Boss Pang’s delivery truck arrived at Qianlima Restaurant, Yao Shi was leading the kitchen staff to load packed seafood porridge onto the buyer’s vehicle.

Upon seeing Yao Shi, Boss Pang hurriedly went over to shake his hand: ”Chef Yao, I really owe you guys today; otherwise, I couldn’t have completed this order.”

Yao Shi, seeing Boss Pang’s relaxed expression, knew that Fu Yu had done well, and smiled, saying, ”We’re all family here, no need for formalities.”

Yao Shi directed a few helpers to unload all the cream puffs from Boss Pang’s truck and combine them with the seafood porridge for unified delivery by the buyer.

Watching the van drive away, Boss Pang asked Yao Shi with a chuckle, ”Where’s Boss Dong? Gone home?”

Yao Shi replied, ”No, he’s inside.”

Boss Pang hurriedly said, ”Great, I need to see him. I really owe you guys today, I have to properly thank your boss.”

Dong Jun Tian hadn’t returned to his office; he was urging the front hall manager and supervisor on duty to head home.

They had received two large orders in a row tonight, so Dong Jun Tian was in high spirits.

Seeing Boss Pang following Yao Shi and others over, Dong Jun Tian quickly stepped forward to exchange pleasantries.

Boss Pang, always quick-witted, said some words of thanks that made Dong Jun Tian immensely pleased.

Finally, Boss Pang didn’t forget to send a gratuity to Dong Jun Tian.

Dong Jun Tian refused to accept: ”With our relationship, isn’t this a bit too formal?”

Boss Pang laughed and said, ”I know, the money isn’t for you, it’s for Chef Fu; I can’t let him work hard for nothing. Besides, the job was for me, so I can’t have you paying out of your pocket; that’s just not how things are done!”

Only then did Dong Jun Tian accept the money. He glanced at the amount, raised his eyebrows, and cheerfully said, ”Wow, that’s generous!”

The dessert shop’s fresh cream puffs cost thirty yuan each, a hundred portions only amount to three thousand yuan; deducting labor and cost fees, Dong Jun Tian actually gave Fu Yu 888 yuan as a gratuity.

Boss Pang chuckled, ”I consider this an investment.”

Dong Jun Tian thought to himself, Boss Pang has taken a liking to Fu Yu’s skills and plans to recruit him. Who knows, he might be useful in the future.

So he knowingly smiled.

Seeing Boss Pang off.

Dong Jun Tian glanced at the time, it was already past 1 a.m.

Everyone had been working from morning until now, utterly exhausted and weary.

Looking at the employees in front of him, Dong Jun Tian felt both touched and proud.

He briefly summarized: ”Everyone worked hard today, and all performed excellently, showcasing our restaurant kitchen’s collective spirit of teamwork.”

”Of course, I also want to specifically commend our two head chefs and Fu Yu for actively fulfilling customer requests tonight, striving to meet customer desires, and generating considerable profit for the restaurant.”

”However, tonight’s events have shown that our kitchen equipment and utensils are indeed a bit outdated. They hinder us at critical moments, so, I happen to have some good news to announce to you all... ”

As Dong Jun Tian spoke, he thought of something and changed his tune: ”Forget it, I’ll tell you tomorrow; it’s really too late today to hold you back from going home to rest.”

With the boss’s announcement, everyone clocked out and went home to rest.

Fu Yu was exhausted after a day’s work, so he freshened up and went straight to sleep.

The next morning, Fu Yu was woken by the phone alarm.

After getting ready, he yawned and went to clock in.

Just after washing his face, he suddenly heard an electronic notification:

[Ding! Daily Task: Complete two cooking tasks today. Task completion reward: 20 yuan, experience +10]

Fu Yu chose to accept the task.

The morning is the key to a day.

Motivated by the daily task reward of 20 yuan, Fu Yu rubbed his face with his hands, feeling energized.

He was on the morning shift today, so he went straight to the kitchen after clocking in.

While turning into the front hall corridor, he met Xin Li, the accountant, who had just arrived for work as well.

”Good morning, Accountant Xin!”

Fu Yu greeted her with a smile.

Maintaining a good relationship with finance staff makes daily work much easier.

Xin Li nodded, ”Morning. Were you exhausted last night?”

Fu Yu stopped, reached up to rub his neck, ”Wasn’t I? I only rested at two in the morning and felt like I just slept when it was time to work again.”

Xin Li smiled, ”Fu Yu, you really made a good impression on the boss last night; I heard he praised you in public?”

Fu Yu laughed, ”You heard about that too?”

Finance has a wide network of information indeed!

Xin Li said, ”That’s nothing; I even know Boss Pang gave you a gratuity!”

Fu Yu quickly waved his hand, ”No, not at all, I didn’t receive any money from Boss Pang!”

Xin Li laughed, ”We know you didn’t take it; Boss Pang transferred the money directly to the boss, and it’s been added to your salary now.”

A gratuity, huh?

Fu Yu asked, ”How much?”

Xin Li whispered, ”888.”

Fu Yu was surprised, ”So much?”

Xin Li smiled mysteriously, leaned closer to Fu Yu, and said, ”That’s nothing; Boss Pang comes from a big family background; do you know the last name of the real estate developer for Golden Port?”

Fu Yu asked curiously, ”Golden Port? You mean those villa houses? What, does it have something to do with Boss Pang?”

Xin Li raised her chin slightly, with an air of deep insight: ”The real estate developer of Golden Port’s last name is Wu, and the current chairman is Boss Pang’s ex-wife.”

Fu Yu: ”!”

Wow!

Who would have thought!!

Boss Pang might look like a goat dropping, but he’s this capable?

He must have something extraordinary about him.

Either particularly long or particularly thick...

Xin Li continued, ”I heard that when they divorced, Boss Pang got half of the family assets! Although Golden Port Real Estate hadn’t fully developed back then, it must have been a considerable amount of money.

Fu Yu recalled Boss Pang’s previous description of family assets, which seemed substantial indeed.
