THE GOD EATER

The will of the world was also anxious about getting the golden crown and had sent all of the remaining guardians to get it. So there were two world guardians also pursuing the pillar of light.

In fact, the world guardians didn’t need the pillar of light broadcasting the position of the symbol of authority to know where the golden crown was. As guardians of this world, they could instinctively tell where the golden crown was.

Since the guardian of wind was crippled, the guardian of light, the guardian of nature, the guardian of earth, the guardian of fire, and the guardian of darkness were dead, and the guardian of death had been killed by the rank 5 death cultivator, this left the guardian of water, and the guardian of lightning to retrieve the symbol of authority.

The pursuit of the golden crown by the world guardians didn’t mean much to Loki aside from the fact that they had stopped pursuing him. The three world guardians were pursuing him before, but have now changed their minds to pursue the symbol of authority.

Actually, the will of the world still wants to kill him dearly because he has cost the world nearly half of its available power. After all, what he took from the world are living parts of its heart, not the dead parts.

So even divine beings will find what he took to be valuable. So how can the world not want to kill him and get back what he stole?

In fact, aside from getting back what he took, the will of the world also wants to torture him to death for his theft. But getting back the golden crown is a more important matter that will determine the fate of this whole world.

Between some stolen resources and the item that will determine if the world will die, the will of the world can prioritize which is more important. But as soon as the golden crown is retrieved, it will become Loki’s turn to be hunted.

This decision of the will of the world didn’t affect Loki at all. He didn’t even know that he was being pursued before, so there was no way for him to know that he wasn’t being pursued now.

The person this decision affected the most was the seer and the deceiver. This is because they were feeling more pressure as Loki and two world guardians pursued them.

Half of the pressure that the seer was feeling was from Loki. The deceiver didn’t have all the information and didn’t know who was pursuing them, so he didn’t feel any pressure from Loki or from the world guardians.

The two of them were flying together in the air. The deceiver was the one in charge of holding the golden crown while the seer pointed him in the direction he should run to.

The ignorance of the deceiver put him in the mood to laugh and say, “Imagine that. Your plan worked. We got the symbol of authority.”

He raised the symbol of authority above his head to show it off to the seer before saying, “Look at how beautiful it is. It is now ours.”

The seer, on the other hand, wasn’t in the mood to celebrate yet. The pressure he was feeling made him sneer at the deceiver and say, “It is not ours yet. It won’t be ours until we can hold onto it for 24 hours.”

But the deceiver rolled his eyes and said, “Oh, come on. Who can get it from us at this point?”

The seer was quick to say, “There is that rank 4 forger and two world guardians pursuing us.”

The deceiver was surprised when he heard this. His voice was full of surprise as he said, “Just two? I expected at least five guardians hot on our pursuit.”

Then he asked, saying, “I thought there were nine world guardians in this world. What happened to the remaining world guardians?”

The seer looked at him and said, “That rank 4 forger killed them?”

This time, the deceiver was so shocked that his eyes opened in shock as he said, “No way.”

But the seer nodded and said, “He truly did.”

“He only killed five of them, as one was incapacitated by me and another one was killed by the jealous rank 5 death cultivator from the Four Directions Sect. But I am sure that even if we hadn’t done anything, he could have killed all seven of them.”

The deceiver was still shocked and couldn’t speak for a while. He was wondering if the seer was joking and playing a trick on him.

When the seer saw the look of disbelief in his eyes, he scoffed and said, “Why are you so surprised? Would you be surprised if I had said Sheila was the one who killed the seven world guardians?”

In response to this question, the deceiver shook his head and said, “But Sheila is a rank 5 cultivator who can copy any ability she sees, while he is a rank 4 forger.”

But the seer still insisted, saying, “If he can kill her, then it shouldn’t be surprising that he can kill whom she can kill.”

Actually, the seer knew that his statement wasn’t right. The fact that Loki could kill Sheila didn’t automatically mean that he could also kill everyone Sheila could kill, because there could be some enemies that Sheila could kill that aren’t susceptible to the same thing that killed Sheila.

So there should be some enemies that Sheila could defeat that could fight and defeat the rank 4 forger. But as things have turned out, those enemies haven’t appeared yet.

In order to press his point home about the danger of the rank 4 forger, the seer said to the deceiver, “In the time it took us to deceive that brawny rank 5 forger and take the golden crown from her, the rank 4 forger was able to kill the two world guardians that escaped earlier. That’s how dangerous he is.”
