THE GOD EATER

The thought of how easily he had accomplished his goal made him say to himself with pride, ’And they say the Truth Pathway is weak. Let me see how weak we are when they are dying over there like chickens.”

“Eleven of them have died, yet they are no closer to finding the symbol of authority. The only one that is worthy of being taken seriously is that extremely powerful rank 4 forger.”

As he thought of the rank 5 forger, the starlight in his eyes intensified, and the image of an armored warrior stomping through a city appeared in his vision. Nothing and no one could stop the armored warrior from going wherever he wanted to go.

As always, the armored warrior couldn’t sense his spying. But he couldn’t see the past of this armored warrior because they had something on them that was blocking his vision.

He could only see what the armored warrior was doing at the moment, not what the armored warrior had done all of their lives or what kind of Metacs the armored warrior possessed.

This made him frustrated. But he forced himself to stop looking at the armored warrior and return to the present. So the image of the armored warrior disappeared from his vision.

Then he said to the bird person nearby, “Well done. I will remember this. If you’re ever reincarnated into my sect, you will have your reward waiting for you.”

After saying this, he didn’t wait for the other person to speak. He turned his back on the bird person and flew into the air.

Since he was underground and in a tunnel, there is no way out by going up. But he didn’t care.

He punched through every rock and soil in his way, easily shattering them to create a way for him. Just like that, he created a way where there was no way.

As for the bird person that he left behind, this world guardian had lost the will to fight. He had also lost the will to die because he had the opportunity to wait for his world to be assimilated before dying, so that he could reincarnate into the Blessed Heaven World as a human.

Even if he had the will to fight, there was very little he could do now because the will of the world is angry with his actions and has stripped him of most of his powers.

He still has the power of a master, which is the equivalent of a rank 4 cultivator. But he has lost the power of a world guardian because the will of the world is dissatisfied with him.

The will of the world has been silenced by the invaders and is now unable to take direct actions on the world, but it can still activate this backlash against traitors because the source of the power of world guardians is the will of the world.

With his body suddenly weak, he began to feel his age for the first time in a long time. He used to be energetic before when he was a world guardian, but now he feels frail like an old man.

But he didn’t mind this. He let gravity pull him to the ground, where he lay with a smile on his face.

Then he said, “I am truly getting on in years. It seems I will die soon, which is not a bad thing. After all, I have lived a fruitful life.”

But then he sighed and said, “It is a pity for the world, though. We are doomed. And even if I die now, the will of the world still wouldn’t be able to replace me. How can we win like this?”

He became lost in thought, lamenting the fate of his beloved world. But this lamentation didn’t make him agitated because he had accepted their unfortunate fate and was willing to live with the fact that there was nothing he could do to change it.

On the other side, the seer was flying through the air. He was flying at his top speed, so he was in a hurry.

Even though he knew where the symbol of authority was, he wasn’t going there right now. This is because he knew that he didn’t have the power to take the symbol of authority.

In order to solve this problem of a lack of power, he is going to find helpers. The first helper that he is searching for is the most reliable one. This helper is the only other rank 5 cultivator of the Nexus of Truth Sect still alive.

There were two other rank 5 cultivators of the Nexus of Truth Sect, but one of them, who is supposed to be the strongest and their ace in the hole, has died.

This one that died was the seer with the Skill Copy Life Ability. Her job was to stay in the sky and copy the abilities of everyone. That way, she will be able to help the Nexus of Truth Sect defeat everyone else when the seer with Star Divination Life Ability finds the symbol of truth.

As if her death wasn’t bad enough, he can’t see who killed her. Since there are three people who can hide their past from him in this world, and he knows what one of those people has been doing, and he knows that the second one of those people is part of the Nexus of Truth Sect, this leaves the armored warrior as the last one that could have killed their ace in the hole.

The ability to kill their strongest seer and hide how they did it from him is why he is taking that armored warrior so seriously. This is also why he has to get enough helpers as soon as possible.

Now that his ace is dead, he has no choice but to find replacements. The first of those replacements is the only rank 5 deceiver in this small world.
