THE GOD EATER

This money cultivator is the blond-haired lady among the three rank 5 cultivators of the Four Directions Sect. She is currently leading a group of rank 4 cultivators of the Four Directions Sect to roam the small world in search of world guardians and the cultivators of the other sects.

The manifestation of her Life Ability is raised high up into the sky like a flag to signal her position. She doesn’t seem to care that this will make the cultivators of the other sects know when she is coming and run away to avoid her.

Right now, what she cares about is drawing more cultivators of the Four Directions Sect to her. She is especially hoping that a certain rank 4 forger will come to her.

As she thought of the job that she took, she smiled bitterly as she said to herself, ’I can only say that I was greedy. I shouldn’t have taken that job even though I knew it was unlikely for that rank 4 forger to still be alive after three days of fighting and even more unlikely for me to find him.’

Then she shrugged and said, ’Then again, even if I didn’t take the job, who is to say that he won’t threaten me and force me to accept it? So it is my weakness that has to be blamed for this. If I didn’t need money so much, he wouldn’t have anything to threaten me.’

As a money cultivator with the Life’s Worth Life Ability, everyone believes that everything is peachy with her. But having this Life Ability isn’t all roses and wine. There are some bad sides that she has to suffer because of her Life Ability.

It is true that the Life’s Worth Life Ability can be used to kill anyone. Even divine beings aren’t safe from the power of her Life Ability. As long as she can get a value for anyone’s life, she can buy that person’s life.

No one can block the effect of her Life Ability with raw power, regardless of how strong they are. This is because the power of the Life’s Worth Life Ability doesn’t come from her.

The power of the Life’s Worth Life Ability comes from the sect. It is the sect that actually kills the person. All she does is pay the price for the sect to take action against that person.

This is why her power is irrelevant. Only the money in her hands is needed to kill someone with her Life Ability. However, there are some caveats.

Actually, there is only one problem with this Life Ability. But this problem is so great that it can make the Life Ability unusable in the long run.

This problem is that for every person she kills, the price to kill the next person will increase by 1%. So if she has killed 10 people with the Life’s Worth Life Ability, the eleventh person will cost an extra 10% more to kill, and if she has killed 200 people with the Life’s Worth Life Ability, the 201st person will cost an extra 200% to kill.

This slow increase in the cost of borrowing the power of the sect to kill her enemies is slowly and surely eroding her profit margins. At a point, she will be losing money to use her Life Ability to kill.

For a long time, she was able to prevent making a loss by using the Life’s Worth Life Ability to kill the cultivators of the other four sects and selling their parts to cultivators in the Four Directions Sect. She also avoided killing the people of her sect with her Life Ability at all costs.

This worked because the value of the lives of the people of her sect will be far higher than normal based on their Dao Status, the grade of their assigned merit mission, and the grade of their life insurance.

On the other hand, the value of the lives of the people of the other sects is way cheaper. For example, a rank 5 cultivator in the Four Directions Sect might cost over 100 billion to kill, but the same rank 5 will only cost around 100 million.

So she can buy cheaply from the other sects and sell at an exorbitant rate to the Four Directions Sect. This wide disparity in pricing is how she can continue to make a profit and prevent her Life Ability from becoming a burden on her.

But this can’t go on forever. She can’t continue to abuse her Life Ability without it becoming a loss anytime she uses it to kill. At that time, she will start running out of money from her kills, and she will have to acquire another stream of income to supplement the cost of using her Life Ability to kill.

Already, it is prohibitively expensive to kill another rank 5 cultivator of the Four Directions Sect. The last time it happened, she didn’t have enough money to pay for the Life Ability to activate, so she had to borrow money from the sect to make the kill.

This is where her credit score with the sect comes in. The higher her credit score with the sect, the more money she can borrow from the sect. This is another privilege for money cultivators.

Thanks to her credit score, she doesn’t need to have the money to kill someone. She can borrow money to kill and then pay back the money after selling the corpse.

So it seems she can earn money right now with her Life Ability without having any money on hand. But if Kelvin gets his divine being to tamper with her credit score, she won’t be able to borrow money, and the next time a rank 5 cultivator from the Four Directions Sect wants to kill her, she won’t be able to fight back.

This is why Kelvin’s threat is something that she has to take seriously. Of course, tampering with her credit is not as bad as freezing her account.
