Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1033: Chapter 1033: A Really Nasty Fall

At this moment, Wang Bapi realized that he might have been deceived.

So he hurried to the police to catch the person.

But once he reported it, there was no contract, and he couldn’t clearly explain who the other party was or where they came from.

He only knew it was some bicycle assembly factory, but when the police went to check, they couldn’t find this person either.

Just like that, Wang Bapi had really taken a fall!

The little information he provided was not enough for the police station to find anyone.

With the New Year approaching, not only had he not made any money, but he had also lost a large sum.

This made Wang Bapi tremble with heartache.

The employees of the factory were all waiting for their overtime pay and bonuses!

He had drawn pies in the sky, and now the employees were asking him for them.

And he couldn’t say he wouldn’t give it.

Playing poor and crying didn’t convince any of the employees.

They even threatened that if he didn’t pay up, they’d dismantle his factory.

Wang Bapi had no choice but to grit his teeth and pay the employees first, letting them go home for the New Year.

He was left to worry about the five hundred pieces of clothing.

These were clothes similar to work uniforms, unsellable.

He could only try to sell them to other factories.

But during the New Year, which factory would need work uniforms?

Besides, the style of his work uniforms didn’t match those of others.

They were all one-size-fits-all, he hadn’t even measured for sizes.

What a loss, a huge loss!

Wang Bapi was almost grinding his teeth to pieces, utterly out of ideas.

Just then, An Hao and An Ping came to collect debts again.

Wang Bapi wouldn’t pay.

An Hao laid down the terms again, ”If you don’t pay, I’ll come and pester you every day! Don’t even think about opening your clothing factory!”

Now that Wang Bapi had lost money, he was firm in not paying An Hao, ”I truly have no money now! I don’t even know which despicable person ordered five hundred pieces of clothing from me! They’re worth over ten thousand! After paying me five hundred, the person skipped town without a trace. Now I can’t even get the money back; tell me if this isn’t going to ruin me!”

”You had it coming!” sneered An Ping, taking the opportunity to add a comment.

”I know you all want to laugh at me! You can’t wait to see me embarrassed.” Wang Bapi was painfully aware, ”But! If you can find the person who placed the order, I’ll pay you!”

”That’s too difficult! We definitely can’t do it.” An Hao immediately rejected his proposal.

”Then I can’t pay!”

”Fine! You don’t have to pay! We don’t care! Anyway, once you start work after the New Year, I will bring a group of people over to make a fuss. I’ll use a megaphone outside your factory door every day to spread the word about your broken promises! Let’s see if you still get any business!” An Hao had already decided that if Wang Bapi didn’t come up with the solution she wanted today, she would stick it out with him to the end.

Wang Bapi was now scared of An Hao’s tenacity, ”Alright!! I give up! Anyway, I have no money to pay! Take these clothes as a settlement for the debt, okay?”

Now, the sight of these things irritated him.

”What do I need so many clothes for?” An Hao asked discontentedly,

”Are you not satisfied and kicking these over to us?”

”Look here, young lady! The debt I owe you for the vegetables is no more than five thousand! Just the cost price of these clothes is ten thousand! I’m already at a loss giving them to you! Don’t be ungrateful!” Wang Bapi said, trying to hold back his pain.

At present, he couldn’t bear to look at this pile of stuff for another minute—it was not just clothes and money, but also his disgrace.

He had been in business for many years and had been through a lot, both big and small.

But this was the first time he had ever taken such a hard fall.
