Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1015: Chapter 1015: The Menstruation That Spoils the Atmosphere

Qin Jian fiercely tugged at his own hair and said to An Hao, ”Please relay my words to your aunt, if she dares to spoil the mood like this again! I will ban her from visiting you for ten months.”

”Pfft... Hahahahaha...” An Hao could no longer hold back her laughter.

She liked this frustrated Staff Officer Qin!

The next day, Qin Jian was to return to his unit.

This time, as An Hao saw him off, there was no lovey-dovey farewell nor clinging reluctance; instead, she looked forward to his quick departure.

Because, this farewell marked the beginning of the next reunion.

She was looking forward to Qin Jian’s quick return!

...........................

Time passed quickly, and the Military Medical University was soon in its exam week, with the holidays approaching!

With her strong grasp on academic content, added to her recent internship period which indirectly reinforced her knowledge, the exams were a breeze for her.

After the exams, it would be a long winter break. Since Qin Jian had applied for a transfer back and would likely complete the procedures by the end of the year, An Hao decided not to go to the Northwest this winter.

Having been busy all year and scarcely visiting her hometown, An Hao received a letter from An Ping urging her to come home as their father missed her a lot and wanted her to stay for a few days.

An Hao replied to the letter agreeing, and after her exams, she discussed with her in-laws about staying in her hometown for a while, and they agreed.

Before her departure, her mother-in-law, Zhang Yun, urged An Hao to take some goodies home and even gave her some money to buy anything she liked.

An Hao tried to refuse several times but couldn’t persuade her mother-in-law, so she accepted the money.

On the first day of her vacation, An Hao saw Gu Shuangshuang and Li Zhi off on the train to Jiangning, then went shopping alone.

She roamed around the city for half a day, bought two bottles of fine wine for her father An Shuchao, made a special trip to Nancheng to buy Xinghua Building’s famous horseshoe pastries, and then went to a department store to buy two nice coats for her younger brother.

An Ping was also not young anymore, having entered puberty in recent years and with the success of the greenhouse vegetables, many girls had taken notice of him. Wanting her brother to find a girl he truly liked, An Hao decided to give him a good dressing up.

She bought plenty of things for her parents’ home, even purchasing two nice clothes items for her mother-in-law. Her father-in-law wore his military uniform year-round and did not need casual clothes; as he was unwell and did not smoke or drink, finding a gift for him was challenging, but eventually, she bought two pounds of fine tea leaves in the tea city.

The Qin family was practically her other home, and she couldn’t show favoritism, so she prepared gifts for them as well.

The trip was not in vain; it was a good thing Xiaoliu came with her today, otherwise, she couldn’t have managed carrying so many items by herself.

After buying gifts for everyone, she asked Xiaoliu to wait for a bit as the New Year was approaching and she deserved to treat herself, buying a piece of clothing to wear.

An Hao went to the Friendship Department Store, where the second floor featured the latest and trendiest women’s clothing, leading the city’s fashion trends.

She wanted to buy two nice clothes for herself here, as the family’s financial situation had improved a lot. As a woman, she wanted to dress beautifully and firmly capture her husband’s heart.

Although her relationship with Qin Jian was very stable and had survived many trials, she still hoped their love would always remain bright and beautiful without fading.
